I was born into a Muslim family and when I turned 18 I left Islam for 10 years I didn’t want to learn about didn’t want to read about. Then one day right before my 27th birthday I started to look into Islam and finally read the English translation of the Quran (I’ve always read it in Arabic but never understood it) and after doing some deep learning Alhamdulillah I came back to Islam I pray 5 times a day and with every action I do I do it with the remembrance of Allah. I highly advise any one who’s born into Islam because their family is should take a deep dive into Islam and I promise you you’ll love it even more and you’ll be grateful that Allah brought into this world in full submission to Allah

I don't know why big majority of people say Masha-Allah ما شاء الله when they see something that pleases them in *others* .. while they should say Allahumma barik اللهم بارك or Barakallahu laka or fika or alayka or tabarakaAllah, etc.
If you see something from your brother, yourself or wealth which you find impressing, then *invoke blessings for it,* for the evil eye is indeed true.Reference:Ahmad 4/447, Ibn Majah, Malik. Al-Albani graded it authentic in Sahihul-Jami' As-Saghir 1/212. Also see Al-Arna'ut's checking of Ibn Al-Qayyim's Zadul-Ma'ad 4/170.
We say MashaAllah la quwwata illa bi'llah ما شاء الله لا قوة إلا بالله when we see something that concerns *us* (ourselves, our kids, our house, etc.).
      [Sourate Al-Kahf 39]
      18:39
If only you had said, upon entering *YOUR* property, *‘This is what Allah has willed! There is no power except with Allah!’* Even though you see me inferior to you in wealth and offspring,
      والله أعلم
      But Allah knows best,

This is part of the reason I feel blessed to be a revert rather than be born in a Muslim family who didn't educate me well enough to understand or care. Their are many what I call "culturally" Muslims here in the Washington DC area because their parents or grandparents came to America and the true knowledge of Islam slowly leaves the family unit with our western culture corrupting our hearts. Alhamdulilah, thankfully Allah blessed me with the ability to critically think and analyze. Even as a white Christian western man, Islam's truth was so powerful it shattered the prejudice and hate from Americas propaganda after growing up in the 9/11 era. If you take the time to study with an open mind and heart you will find the only truth is Islam and that prophet Muhammed is the last messenger sent for us peace be upon him. I believe in the one true god, and all the messengers he has sent for mankind from Noah, Abraham, Jesus, and Muhammad and all the rest peace be upon all of them. Let us remain strong in our faith and remember if you have time please send an extra prayer for our brothers and sisters in Palestine, my heart continues to hurt every single day for the position they are in.

I was born in Muslim Family and left Islam after studying Islam. I came across Philosophy and later on studied Sikhism and was convinced to it. Here are the reasons why I believe in Sikhism :
    1) For justifying the order of the Universe, we need one Omnipresent Conscious God. Islam lacks Omnipresence while as Hinduism lack Oneness. It must be a Panentheistic God as it makes metaphysically more sense than man in the sky
    2) According to Spinoza, we have inbuilt knowledge that our consciousness is eternal and according to Law of Conservation, our soul must be originless if it has to be eternal. So we must have that kind of source which is Nirgun, God's divine Consciousness beyond time making it eternal.
    3) If we are originated from it then it is our true place and we need to go back to it. We have apriori knowledge about how to go there and it is where Humanitarian ethics come. Sikhism follow those Humanitarian Ethics. The Ethics increase love which help us to become one with God. Love has the definition of being one so our Ethics must be based on love. Everything is made of monads and love makes monads intact and once monad get enough concentration, soul is liberated. It is where Sikh way of life is followed, to develop love for God. It is what Gurus preached.
    4) I read Japji Sahib and it had positive effect on my heart which made me consider that Sikhism is true religion. It was a personal experience and subjective however the above three arguments are objective for sikhism. Still Sikhism promotes being religious in one's own faith and we don't promote missionary activities through force or whitewashing. It is everyone's personal choice to profess to any faith and those who aren't interested shouldn't be bothered.

We follow Sikhi, because it teaches us to love God even if he almost kills me.
Our soul do ishk ( pure love) with God on spiritual level , we do not demand anything from God.
God give us blessings on his own
And even if God doesn’t give anything we ask, we love him.
Even if God give us hell or death, we love him
Because this is how we love selflessly.
God love back to us gives us bliss, never ending bliss and we feel no pain , doesn’t matter how much it comes to us.

What Guru nanak did is he amalgamated both Islam and Hinduism and tried to make sense of what's happening. Mughals tried to suppress it, but it grew a lot. They had a big role in the growth of sikhism. Consequential historical events led to what sikhism is today. It didn't spread beyond the Punjab region of India.

On Behalf of sikhs, The problem with Sikh community is most Sikhs are unfortunately not really strong followers, They just pray mindlessly and especially after the 1984 incident, generations have not taught anyone about Sikhi, These questions could absolutely be answered by an Amrit Sikhi. Also, the very first statement the sikh gentleman made was wrong, In sikhism, we deny that anyone is born Sikh! No one can be born Sikh, it is an earned title, You must become sikh (which means student) overtime.
