N sikhs always respected women thats what our guru taught us. The first slaughter was started by muslim league in bengal for demanding Pakistan not Hindu nor sikh and actually sikhs were the victim of war between hindu n muslim because there land got separated but no one asked them before doing so our culture our historic gurudwaras all were divided. You can still identify as Muslim, Christian, Hindu, or even agnostic and still agree with some of the gurus principles but that doesn’t mean you have to convert or change how you practice. Agreeing with Sikhi doesn’t give you the title of Sikh. Living by the gurus teachings, and living by the gurus words can make you a good person but you also have to choose the identity of Sikh for yourself. When you feel the oneness between you and god you will be driven to take on the traditional rituals and identifiers that the last human guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji, introduced. Solidifying your faith through practice and testing yourself through commitment and dedication. I hope this helped, I am not perfect and this could be misinformed through my own interpretation of my faith. For that I apologize.

Many times people donate just to get an ego or feel good about themselves. I have seen people who make money from wrong methods, who are rude and arrogant, donate a lot of money. Well Jeff Squared I kind of agree with you.. Pakistan where most Indigenous Pakistanis (pre partition) accepted Islam through Sufism are unlikely to accept Wahhabism but there is a growing threat. In Kashmir where Jihadism has been instigated by the Pakistani Ruling elite since Partition has evolved and gone into itself and reemerged as Wahabis. I have many discussions with Pakistanis who happen to come from Pakistan occupied Kashmir who consider themselves Kashmiris rather than Pakistan but for strategy sake, hide under the guise of representing Pakistan in heated discussions. The slogan the Pakistan Army used for trying to "liberate" Kashmir has created clusters who are spreading their ideology through fear. Only the other day they carried out another attack, and killed many in a Shia congregation. So the image non Muslims get of Pakistan is of a state riddled with radicalism, even though as you say and I agree , "most pakistanis" arn not Wahabis.
I said also that Indian Muslims are true to their faith. They are and have the freedom to practice it truely because unlike Pakistani Wahabism, which has is based on Punjabi culture, of seeing others as their inferirrs is a locational Wahabism, tied root branch and stock to Pakistan. Indian Muslims see it as an irrelevance in the Indian context.

But the reason why I disagreed with you was because most Pakistanis I know are Deobandi, which is originated in India. Also , I haven't seen more benevolent,hard working and righteous people than sikhs. The amount the community, stands for humanity and kindness cannot even be conveyed in words. Sikhism teaches service to humanity and till date Sikhs practice that, irrespective of caste, creed or religion. and i think that is all that matters.

If the Quran is the true, then automatically all other scriptures are wrong because the Quran rejects every other scripture since it's not the word of God. You can't have scriptures and say they are all the word of God because then they contradict each other and the teachings. It's basic common sense.

@Sam Alam i don't think you properly understand the conflict in Myanmar , its not a religious conflict its a ethnic conflict the rohingya minority in Myanmar has been fighting for a separate state with in Myanmar since the British left , they even had their own militant group that fought with Myanmar government military, Myanmar has christian population twice as much as Muslim and a considerable number of Hindus as well , but there had never been any reports of conflict or tension between these groups , if Buddhist had been discriminatory towards religious minorities, they could have attacked them too don't you think, but when considering attitude among Muslims all Muslim countries persecute religious minorities because of their religious beliefs

Guru nanak wrote the first letter ik onkar when he was a child. At the age of 30, he disapeared in vayin river. He reappeared after 3 days. and the first words he uttered after he came back was there is no hindu and no muslim.

The Jews Christians and Muslims all have same Prophets and were given holy books through the same Angel. The ONLY book surviving in its original form is the Quran. When Guru Nanak visited Mecca, the Muslim leaders asked him, which religion is better, Islam or Hinduism. It's surprising that many people actually think like you. THEIR REASONING is mostly 1) Islam was discovered before Sikhism 2) Sikhism has same facts like Islam.
For the first point, take this simple analogy. If there are maths books that teach you how to excel in maths, there can be many authors to pick from, there can be books published in different years as well. Some books maybe OLD , some maybe NEWER. Until the book you're reading is correct, there's no need for the book to be published in first-edtion to be considered "relevant". Same is with Sikhism, may came late (just 600 yrs, while islam is more than 1500 yrs old) but Sikhism follows truth as well.
Secondly, Sikhism is not a subset of Islam. Both are different religions with different set of core values. Sikhs go with a strict rule of not cutting their hairs, while it is optional for Muslims. Muslims avoid pork, sikhs dont. Muslims do fasting, sikhs dont. Dispite that, Islamism and Sikhism have similar idea of God (The one true creator)

This is not "dawah". The Sikh is showing more dawah than ali himself. Dawah is when you show a good represntation and example of Islam, not shout over people, argue with them in public, and demean them in order to make your point across. This will surely deterr non muslims from converting, and perhaps build their hatred towards us by the way in which we come cross. The prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) did not give dawah like this and nor should you.

My religion SIKHISM doesn't divide humanity into believers and non believers! My religion doesn't say that if you don't accept guru nanak as the messenger of God , you will be tortured in hell. My religion doesn't label anyone as infidel but accepts everyone as part of the one. My religion doesn't forcefully converts anybody, if you are a hindu it tells you to be a better hindu , if it you are a muslim , it tells you to be a bette MUSLIM.
No 5 times praying and fake external rituals of woodoo , or facing in a certain direction will help you get closer to God. It's only devotion from within which is accepted by God, everything else is just rituals to pump your own ego.

Actually I have studied THEISM quite a bit. I wrote a comparison/contrast paper in college which was highly regarded amongst the professors and I was told to take the body of work and turn it into a book. Also, my above post was about my personal experience amongst Sikhs. My secondary stated opinion would have been given to ANYONE who constantly interjected during a debate about ANY subject. Talking over someone and interrupting shows immaturity, disrespect and overshadows any facts or debateable points during a discussion. It doesnt matter how many facts, opinions or theories someone can recite because the only impression given is negative and brash and that is what will be remembered.

True Story from India:
A sikh family reverted to Islam and moved to my neighborhood. Family consisted of Father, Son and his wife with 3 daughters.
As soon as their Sikh family learned of their new faith, first they were disowned from blood relations. Reverted family did not flinched.
Second, reverted family's property was usurped by the sikh family. Again the reverted family stood firm.

I watched this a second time - and think I spoke to soon, the Guy in green seems more friendly, personable, not pressured, the guy in red sounds like speedy gonzalez, like you can almost feel this "If I don't agree with this guy, he will explode" vibe... LOL
YEah - I disagree - Dude in Green seemed like a JOLLY GREEN GIANT PEACE KEEPER - And Jagraj always was peaceful... in fact, if I saw video of him heated, I'd have to remind myself he is human - I think listening to JagRaj in on par with some of the most spirit led teachers I've encountered in Christianity - He really was quite something, I adopted Sikhi after seeing him, studying, then watching him more, prayer, etc... I am a Sikhi who believes the Gurus and unlike the Sikhi, I also put a lot of stock in other holy scriptures... Many say "You can't do that" - then I say - well - TRUTH + TRUTH = TRUTH. I can find truth and folly in both the bible and the Quoran, but the truths are also there, it takes research to navigate effectively, and many think they have it, when they have only some laced with lies and traditions formed by the adversary.
Yeah... It's now near the video end, and the Guy in Green Is Great, the Guy is Red is knowledgable, pleasant, a little POT might help him bring him down a notch. Same happens with Christians when the spirit is leading them as well LOL - I've heard many an old-school preacher say "When a person finds God, they love it, but they want to lock them in a room for six months with the bible and other resources, before letting them loose on the public" - I found this to rings true.... But Hindus are still being strangled with this knowledge that religion does not teach to have enmity among each other. Mohammad Iqbal, who wrote "Religion does not teach hatred among each other", "Saare Jahan Se Achcha Hindostan Hamara", started the demand for Pakistan in the Allahabad Conference of the Muslim League in 1930.
