Tomska admitted that he has suicidal thoughts and that these thoughts affect his skits, which is why a good chunk of ASDF has people wanting to die. The Muffin Song was his attempt to directly express how he feels through his work. Like most Shmoyoho songs, it mixes up lyrics from his past videos with the main goal of just rhyming, but there is a story being told.

The Muffin Song is actually about Tomska, dealing with depression and suicidal thoughts while forcing himself to continue creating ASDF Movies, despite the sense of humour being rather outdated - Watching his friends and fellow creators move on with their lives while he felt stuck making ASDF Movies - Letting go felt right, but he couldn't afford to let go of his life's work. That's why there's a suicide warning at the start of the video. The Muffin character is.. More like a self insert, of sorts, I guess. It's actually a very sad song, and if you go back and look through Tomska's ASDF content, a lot of his jokes began to revolve more and more around the concept of death as his mental health deteriorated.. poor Tomska. I hope he's doing better nowadays.
This is a very accurate summarization, and from videos on his (TomSka's) second channel it looks as if he's doing quite a bit better than a couple years ago when Muffin Time came out.

Somehow, when I was in 10th grade, I manage to convince one of my teachers to play "Beep Beep I'm a Sheep" during an "End of term/year Party", and they continue to play it even after I graduated highschool (one of my younger siblings were in the teachers class and told me that the teacher was still using the song the song)
I also say "convince" but it was just a suggestion to the teacher
Well, it's better than when someone convinced the teachers at my middle school to play "Don't trust a h0e" at my middle school graduation. At least Beep Beep I'm a Sheep is just weird.

The Muffin song is about TomSka Journey, that's why you can see him with his friends and then working alone, I think it's about his depression.
On the other hand, the train kid is supposed to represent a friend on his named Edd who died from cancer, he loved trains
Ok so.. Tomska is in all of these music videos.. And you can see as he ages.. in the last one is his most current form. And talking about his actual depression. The muffin being a representation of the desire to entertain and to appear joyful while having depression.
i'm thinking the 'Do the Flop' song might have been inspired by the fact that after asdfmovie came out, 'do the flop' became a bit of a trend that actually did result in quite a few injuries, and the creators have said they were really worried about the unforseen consequences of the original 'do the flop' joke
I'm pretty sure that the Muffin song was actually about TomSka's depression and how it was affecting his work. There's a really good video about it by Bright Side Euan that I recommend you watch on your own time.

@Mandango traps aren't Trans people though, they are feminine looking dudes or masculine looking males. Trans people are ones who identify as the opposite gender that they originally were. I never assumed anything in that regard because TRAPS were their original gender and never wanted to change in the first place. If a person looks like a woman and was ALWAYS A MAN, that's a trap. Same thing in reverse for women.
Edit: secondly, idgaf about the rep of Trans people have in the anime community because as a black person, we've been here longer, but have less rep. I honestly don't care for it at this point

The muffin song does have an explanation, Tom talks about it in his second channel video "The Muffin That Saved My Life"
I would honestly recommend watching some other TomSka things, his skits are hilarious and make slightly more sense than asdfmovie

Okay, so here's an explanation of the muffin song.
Thomas (or TomSka as we know him as) worked on asdf movie for years with some friends. Over time some of his friends left the project and he was all alone. He felt like he was working on something that just repeats itself and doesn't give him joy. He started to feel depressed and didn't want to continue the series. That's why the song is filled with references to other videos, it shows all the work he's done in the past and how it affects him. It ends with his creations begging him to continue asdf movie and make more episodes, to appease the audience and make us all happy, because our support makes him happy. The whole thing about the muffin being the center of the song was just to add silliness to the video so it didn't seem out of place with the whole series. Of course the amazing vocals were there because Shmoyoho helped make the song.

Getting to a point where it felt like obligation over what he actually wanted to do and then resolving to make it into smth he can be proud of again.

Ahm... there's a lot of context needed for the muffin song. The context being that Tom was depressed and I believe even s*icidal, that's why there were so many death and s*icide jokes in all of the asdf movies, and the stress of the popularity of the asdf movie wasn't making it better, but this song was kind of a reconciliation, saying that basically 'fuck it, it's already on the internet, why not continue' ("cartoons live forever"). Feel free to correct me on this though, it's been a while and I don't remember the specifics anymore.
Imagine you a hero fighting the train guy and you tied up and the last thing you hear is “I. Like. Trains.”
Fun Fact: Sam Lavagnino (who voiced Rolly in Puppy Dog Pals) did the voice for the Muffin.
