I actually took my car to dealer in 2016, because of the piston slap when it was new. The service writer showed me a service bulletin. It stated that at lower temperature it is normal to hear noise and that it is the engines characteristic due to lighter materials used. Had the car for four years does it on every cold start and goes away at normal temp. 🤷🏻‍♂️. I usually warm it up for good 3-4min and don’t beat on it till the temp is over 200

I have a 2018 (lead foot gray) and I have the same situation with the piston slap...I let it warm up for 5min and don’t stomp on it till she’s at operating temp...doesn’t seem tone a problem...also I would like to meet up with you guys sometime...I’m in Ohio
