- Super excited to get my hands on these HK416A5s. The adjustable gas block serving as the hop up adjuster is super convenient although this does make the hop up on the 416 more proprietary.

Some notes:
In Europe, the HK416A5 does come with a NPAS, the Asia version will not.

I almost bought this M4 but I choose the mpx as I want an MP5 in ergo of M4. LOL. This unit is solid. VFC is doing a good job on their current models/units.
The MPX is great too. Yeah, VFC has definitely stepped up and become one of the best brands!

What are your recommendations for mags? This is gonna be my first GBBR. Exciting! However, there aren't many fields here in New Mexico. I don't know when I'll be able to properly use it in a game

I did! The stanag are very tight so they need extra force to go in the gun properly.
So wich V3's come with a steel bolt and wich come with zinc-alloy? I really like the looks of the MK18 V3 but i do want the steel bolt like in the BCM... Thanks in advance!

I would like to ask, what do you like more and why? This or the steel bolted HK416D V3?
I'm looking to acquire this as my first Airsoft GBBR and I'm mainly looking on durability and that "real steel" feel, as I would most likely only use this rifle for training and leisure purposes. Is it viable unmodified or un-upgraded? Do any parts break overtime? etc. Awaiting your response, thank you!
@@JC360XL Hey JC, thanks! Just to be clear, the HK416D V3 also comes with a zinc bolt out of the box, all of the 416s variants do. You can get the Z-Parts steel bolt for it if you really want, which I did for mine. As far what’s better, the A5 just has ambi controls and an easier hop up adjustment, via the adjustable gas block. While the D as the classic look of the delta 416. For training, both are perfect. VFC V3 ARs are pretty much one of if not the best for training, no upgrade is needed, stock parts are also very durable. I love all of mine, I think I had 7 by now.

Hi, do you think this gun can take a non-durable version of repro EOTech 558 like the ones for AEG? Im afraid that the recoil will destroy the device.
The one I am using on my 416 is a cheap 50$ version, it has been on all my gas blowback replicas for 2 years. But I cannot guarantee for you that your situation will be the same, if you buy a cheap eotech, the quality control could be hit or miss!

Very nice review. I was watching your video abour importing gbb replicas in the US. I am planning to do the same with this HK416a5 gbb to Texas. Did you have to do the same ( orange tape, etc) with the HK416? Any recommendations?

Yes, in order for it to pass importation, it will need orange tip, orange tape, etc.

Nice review. What was your gaz PSI ? Npas set to 50%?
Thanks, i was using green gas at 70F, so around 115 psi depending on temperature. No npas.
@@Airsoft_Chay is it the asian version? other V3 version has an NPAS. I meant what was the PSI on the gaz bottle you used ? Generally the gaz bottle pressure is indicated for 20°C so roughtly 70°F.
Besides green gaz is generally around 130 PSI for 20°C / 68 °F or 145 PSI ( Nuprol 2.0 prenium green gaz).
I'm shocked you are able to get 1.6J out of the box with no NPAS and only with 130 PSI.
EDIT:
I've watched a version review V3 and he got 1.5/1.6J with a red gaz (175 PSI) and it was at 18°C / 64 °F, but idk what his NPAS setting was.

I just saw that you removed the gas blocker that would explain why you need less gaz pressure to get more power

For the psi, I use propane which is basically green gas with psi ranging from 110-200.
Does the bolt lock back consistently after last shots?

Luck I guess lol. I never had a bolt lock fail for no reason on a VFC, I had 13 VFCs so far.

The HK416A5 has ambidextrous mag and bolt release, and adjustable gas block that serves as your hop up adjuster. While the HK416D doesn’t have any ambidextrous controls other than the selector and the hop up is the usual guide hop that requires an allen key to adjust. Furthermore, they look slightly different.
If we order from proactsore. Do we get the V3 with an NPAS ?
V3s do not come with npas, at least 4 of mine didn’t.
@@Airsoft_Chay because there is several option depending of the countries. I can assure you that in Europe, there is an NPAS, at least in French store and in Germany

Planning to get a VFC Mk18 V3 but I assume this 416 and other VFCs like BCM use the V3 system which gives better reliability and more recoil. Might also consider getting a VFC 416 despite my distaste with the irl HK416s 😂
VFC MK18 V3 are pretty much the same as any other VFC V3 AR!
@Airsoft_Chay yep and I've been looking at different retailers in my country selling this particular VFC since our customs doesn't like civilians ordering online and shipping it here, they'll confiscate it.

@@jeenkoster no problem with a second hand V2, they will work great! If the valve knocker does go, you can always upgrade it with the ESD valve knocker.
@@jeenkosterif i may chime in here i recently got a V2 and trust me you can easily turn it into a V3 internally, i lucked out and got a triggerbox with hammer and all so was super easy to do, only bit that was a little expensive was the steel bcg but other than that nobody really knows it was a V2 people actually think i got the VFC MK18 V3 buuut this little impostor is really an M4A1 RIS V2

Yes, you can add a longer inner barrel to it!

@@ccbullriding no worries, you can add a longer inner barrel by removing the hop chamber and disassembling it, from there the inner barrel can be removed and a longer one can be added.

I have a v2, it jams when i have 2-3 rounds left. Hard to finish a mag… i never take it out for a game yet

The Umarex HK416 A5. I have the European version from powair6 and can adjust the NPAS. It was tricky to find a Video on CZcams on it but you can adjust it. Maybe you got the older Version. There is a 2022/2023 version of the HK@@Airsoft_Chay
