I was lucky enough to see Percy Sledge sing this when I was 18 in Augusta,Ga. and everybody knows Percy Made this a huge song. I think Percy Sledge would be proud as heck with this.
Johnnie, this song is such a BANGER !!! Percy Sledge sang this 1st in 1966 and then Austin didn't just sing this he *SANG* this. I'll suggest again, "EVERYBODY WALKIN" THIS LAND" Home Free recorded this in response to 2020's civil unrest....you'll be impressed !!! Thank you for your reaction. Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.
Home Free, featuring Lee Greenwood "God Bless the USA" is a must. And the "Butts Remix"....both are GREAT!

I think you would really love Home Free's song "People" Ft. Jeffrey East. It is perfectly in sync with your philosophy - maybe even more than "Everybody Walking This Land."
Jeffery is a musician in his own right and a good guitarists. this one is one of the few songs where Home Free uses (or lets their feature use) instruments.
If you really want a good look at what they can do, they were on a season of a competition called the sing off. One of the Boyz 2 Men members was a judge on the show and he was clearly a huge fan of them. If you want to check it out here is a link to their intro and first performance

My goodness Johnnie! This is the third video I've watched of you and I wish I had your voice inside my head. Right now, I'm feeling so inspired to write that book I've always wanted to write! (Don't get me wrong, your reactions are awesome as well 😁) The world needs more Johnnie's and the way that happens is to pay it forward. To let the Johnnie in you inspire others... Just starting with the people in your own home. Please, never stop doing what you're doing! Ever heard of the 100 monkey effect? It took only one monkey to wash her sweet potato until ALL the monkeys on that island started washing their sweet potatoes. Then, mysteriously and miraculously the monkeys on the other islands started washing theirs too... Without ever having known what was happening on the first island. Johnnie, it is a pleasure to watch you react. A few other Home Free songs to consider are Ring of Fire, Travelin' Soldier, and their Sea Shanty Medley. The music that they make with no instruments, and just their voices has been done by others, but they are among the best. Check out their collaboration with Lee Greenwood and the Singing Seargents of the Airforce on God Bless the USA.

You must hear Home Free singing "How Great Thou Art“. It is everything!!! My sweet Moma fought hard, but in her last days, Home Free "How Great Thou Art" was the one thing that calmed, and comforted her. She passed in 2020, so we weren't able to celebrate her life with her loved ones, because of covid. We played Home Free's "How Great Thou Art" at her burial. It's phenomenal, and will always hold a special place in my heart!!!

For a gospel flavor, there's How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace and My Church; for country, there's Man of Constant Sorrow, Folsom Prison Blues and Take Me Home Country Roads; for more nostalgia, there's American Pie (featuring Don McLean, the original artist 50 years after it was released) and Crazy; for patriotic there's God Bless the USA and for humor, there's Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget and their Butts Remix. They are such an awesome accapella group. Another group is Pentatonix. You should listen to them also. Both of these groups won seasons of the show The Sing Off.
This was done during quarantine! Austin is going to lead and the rest of the group is at home. They just send their tapes in and the producer puts them where he needs them! Oh, and every member of the group is just as good as he is!

You have a very good attitude! I wish more would try harder to have one! The lead on this one (they take turns) is Austin. He is a high tenor, from Georgia. He has classical training, and can switch from "country" to classical. Not easy to do. The bass is Tim, from Texas. But I think he lives in Nashville now. The tenor is Rob, beard/teddy bear) who has a great voice, and is from Minnesota. The baritone (usually wears baseball cap/short beard) is Adam, but everyone calls him "Chance (his last name, since there are two Adam's). He is from Alabama. And the beatboxer is Adam, from Minnesota, and one of the original founders of HF, with his brother (who is now doing solo stuff). Two-time beat champion. They are ALL very talented, and they don't just cover one "type" of music, but many. I've watched them for years!

You seem to be a Christian (me too) so How Great Thou Art (wow!) and Amazing Grace (great) and Go Tell it on the Mountain. Several Christmas ones, but maybe you aren't ready for those just after the holidays are over! If you do though, Oh Holy Night and Mary Did You Know!
