- This used to be an obscure formable nation, formed as either British Malaya or the Dutch East Indies. First you liberate yourself, then you take the 'other half'.
Bitt3rsteel did a video on this quite a while back, and the mechanics he used are no longer available. So I found a new way! Come and see!

Nice video. One thing that annoys me about British Malaya is that they start off with three research slots and a couple of nice techs, while Australia only has two and very little researched. I hope for a SE Asia DLC at some future date (preferably after the nordics).
Yeah I'm doing test runs on Australia now and they are a lot weaker because of the research. But then Malaya just has the default focus tree and that thing is just so strong.

I'd say that after forming, your next stop should be Siam. with it and malaysia, you'd basically have the entire world's rubber supply at your fingertips.

and then go on export focus and have all the civillian factories you'd ever need.
after that, there's a choice to make.
either go after china, or stab japan in the back. or if you're feeling ballsy, you could try to go after the USA before they become too strong.

I am adding this onto my very futuriestic to-do list... I'd try to work something out to take out the Allies and then join China to take out Japan. This is what I would like to try :)

I've been looking into that, because I love that campaign. But it is difficult and tedious to do it like you suggest. The low world tension results in having to 'wait' for years before you can justify wargoals. Best you can do is guarantee loads of nations and take a defensive role. I did a video on that a year ago, its definitely outdated now..... I'll keep this one in mind.

Try some shenanigans with the common-wealth nations? Something like going independent and then conquering all of western world (or just US; game ends pretty much after US caps because industry lol) XD

Is there any other way to do this without a specifically fascist spain? For me sometimes nationalist spain stays non aligned all game.
The fascism part doesn't really matter. I pick them because they have northern ports. They accept my request for military access because we both are at war with republican spain
