This is a partner taunt that can only be initiated by the Soldier, however every class is able to interact and have their neck snapped.

well heavy as the fattest/largest mercinary would likely have difficulty snapping his oversized neck
so something that would kill scout would probably just be like scratching an itch for him

@@waywander9618 Don't tell me that, I can't even play it. There is no way to get near enemies without them noticing you. They always see you coming or turn around.
And everytime I could have backstabbed someone, the game decided to deny me that 3 times in a row before the f2p Heavy turned around and mowed me down into gibs.

Recently I've been feeling good and didn't let the stupid deaths get to me and tried to learn from my mistakes, and whaddaya know, i got decent at playing the class, even got some trickstabs here and there, even one on Saxton, am very proud x)
So, there's hope, but you may need a change of mindset and some effort
The fact that this taunt can be equipped by other classes so you can just walk up to a Soldier and ask them to break your fucking neck is its own level of comedy

Soldier canonically being able to un-snap necks just makes this 10x better
He can, he’s just so good at it, it just slots right back into place with little to no issues. Basically advanced chiropractics at that point.
It looks like after getting his neck snapped, Pyro gets out the vision and is like "wait that the fuck? Where did the rainbows go?"
Engineer honestly looked so nervous 😂 and afterwards his reaction was kinda like "I'm too old for this"
This taunt really feels like a lot of care and creativity went into this! Not only does this rock extremely hard; it simply just soldier so much.

Heavy just letting him do it, then snapping his neck back into place and giving Soldier a thumbs-up, made me wheeze.
Is the heavy neck guy, and that his neck
Soldier performing his unusual chiroprathic methods to improve the teammates' health, and also killing his enemies, would be the best lore-related taunt to be inserted on the game.

Spy: Well this was a disappointment.
I do love that Soldier, Heavy, and Spy are the only ones to actually pull their neck back rather than have their body elastically swing to the side to go along with their necks. It shows the toughness of their characters well.
And Soldier's ability to "NECK FIX" a broken neck.
Somehow, I feel like the Spy's is actually to emphasize his relative fragility compared to everyone else. Most of the mercs, being red-blooded head-to-head combat-loving freaks who can take a slug or two and keep on swinging, are like rubber. Soldier and Heavy, the brick walls, solidly crack to show their sturdiness. Spy's the backstabbing coward who dies as soon as he has someone's attention. He cracks to show he's made of glass, and also because we like to see painful things happening to someone who won't flog us to death in a frying pan duel like a Mann.

Not only that, but if this is performed on Saxon Hale, Soldier isn't strong enough of a man to even budge Hale's neck.
And when Hale performs this taunt on anyone, he instantly snaps their neck with just his left hand.

It makes sense too, because Soldier can canonically essentially revive people whose necks he snaps by literally unsnapping them

Taunts like these remind you that all the mercs realistically would all be very good friends from how long they've been mercenaries together.
Medic’s is so insane it’s perfect because he’s will genuinely be fascinated, and also how with spy he says ‘kill me’ then ‘this was a disappointment’ and soldier just being excited and just re-snapping his neck is so on point

I like the idea of adding a little more mystery to Pyro by his neck not actually "snapping" but him making like an owl and just being able to turn his head completely, like it's something whatever's under the suit can do but just doesn't for some reason until soldier forcefully does it to it.
And in case pyro's a human, then you could just say that only the mask spun
Pyro's head doesn't 360 degree turn, his entire body turns with the snap like everyone else (except Soldier, Heavy, and Spy, whose heads actually do snap before they fix it)
I think it would be funnier if Pyro's mask started spinning, and he stops it.

Scout hitting the ground and not coming back up would be obvious. But I feel like you could just make demo collapse entirely before the snap happens for a nice joke.

I like how surprisingly wholesome this is! In particular, I like how Engineer spins, and how Medic takes off his glasses and (due to his height difference with Soldier), has to stoop down and offer his head. Amazing work!

It has kinda sense when you realize they aren't just crazy but can even resist bullets, explosions and even more pain than any other human, so, breaking your neck would be just another bit of damage for them

When I clicked on this video, I wonder if this would be a voluntary taunt-kill. But the fact that the receivers always survive and take it as such a casual thing makes it so funny. Great taunt!

@@francreeps4509 sorry but that's normal for animations to go back to their last weapon hold animation without the weapon since the weapon is hidden and isn't immediately given back after the spawn since that will look weird
@@CassidyCamerons143 I noticed there's also a bug with some taunts, mostly while I was doing taunts like the Flippin Awesome as Medic, that whichever weapon I currently had equipped on me was still in his hand while taunting, so there'd be a broken Medigun in his hand while putting his hands out for the flip initiating animation of the taunt.
what if his pair of glasses are the weapons, I mean he lost his medical license so at some point in his career he used a shard of broken glass from his lens as a scalpel

This may be the fist ever partner taunt that isn't all class, looks like a taunt kill but isn't, and fits in with the lore extremely well.
I love how spys first instinct is not to correct is now broken neck but to dust off his suit- there'd so much character here it must become an ig taunt

Grear idea for the taunt
Great lore accurate taunt, I wish more would follow that. It’s beautifully animated except for one thing, scout doesn’t stand up, he sort of floats upward
Nah, Scout's rising animation is pretty solid and in-line with him as a character. He's scrawny, but has serious core strength for his size in order to facilitate all the running around. He pushes off with his hands a bit, but does all the actual work with the muscle groups that he's actually trained (by being really fast). Note how he pulls one foot way back to be directly under his center of mass before he actually starts standing up; being able to lever yourself up using mostly your lower half like he does here is actually fairly realistic for someone with his particular body type.
You know, for as realistic as something can be when it involves standing back up as if nothing happened after willingly getting your neck snapped.
