In this video, we look at the OLDEST PLAYTEST CARD called "Five Magic's" Plains. This card is hand drawn, from Richard Garfield. There were a total of 3 plains and a Giant acquired from Richard's Father. There maybe more, but that is what is known for now.

That Plains is sus af
Did you watch the video?
nice awesome bunch of playtest MTG cards.
I love that the first mtg card was a lowly basic Plains. Neat piece of history, I suppose it's not a coincidence they are asking roughly the same price as an alpha lotus. Even w/ the uniqueness of this item I would w/o hesitation take the lotus.
I know you guys know what you're talking about when it comes to this stuff, but it'll probably take a confirmation from Richard Garfield himself that this is legit to make a sale.
A confirmation from Richard would be helpful, but Joel is also very credible, and has a pretty good track record for selling stuff.
Joel is one of the Alpha playtesters, who helped Richard create the game. Joel started in 1992 with Magic Gamma playtesting.
I agree here. Joel is well known for MTG but Richard COA and video would make this ultra legit.
I would not buy a line drawn by Michelangelo...nor a 1 minute sketche by anyone else.
I legitimately can't tell if this is a joke or a real thing lol
The real deal
@@BlackLotuses Joel Mick (og playtester) has much more authority than psa, bgs & cgc combined.
@@tolarian_archivist what's his website or email? I have a card that needs authentication
It's a real playtest card, hand drawn by Richard Garfield, and has great provenance.
However, it doesn't resemble the 1982 Five Magics playtest cards that Richard himself has shown in other videos.
Its size matches the 1992 Magic playtest cards, while the Five Magics playtest cards were larger, and the Five Magics lands were considerably larger.
Abbreviating the white mana color with the letter W didn't happen until Magic Gamma in 1992.
This card doesn't exactly match other playtest sets. It might be something Richard created between Beta and Gamma, when he was switching from colored dots to letters for the mana symbols. Or maybe Richard just needed another basic land during Gamma and decided to hand draw one at the spur of the moment instead of trying to trade with the other playtesters.
@@TavisKingsChannel I'm only a casual observer type of fan of magic but this is interesting stuff I never heard of before. I'm gonna have to google it because I'd be curious to see more weird early cards
Nobody is giving you that money for that kids drawing
It was created by Richard garfield
@@vintagemagic According to who?!? It's not even verified authentic
It was created by Richard Garfield.
@@TavisKingsChannel There is zero proof of that being the case
@@mephisto40 You're absolutely wrong.
Just because you haven't seen the proof, doesn't mean that the proof doesn't exist.
Sus lmao. Give me a break
Withoud identification shown on video this is most likely a scam dont care who u r
