- Added this car to my watch list and ran the app to see if it had been through the auction before but what is this? What's going on with this car.

August 2023. There was a fire at co part Rochford. I would imagine it was there at the time !
Car was listed for sale at copart Rochford
Copart rochford caught fire
This car was heat/smoke damaged (rear bumper clearly melted)
All lots active at Rochford were removed (due to fire/smoke damage)
It’s now been re listed

@@Love500 would have been nice to see what it went for but you probably couldn’t tell until you got it home if it was stinking of smoke inside. The fire there was quite bad
@@Tombo1904 Remember some of the cars are actually owned and auctioned by Copart, hence reason many of the pictures are taken carefully to hide or minimise the damage. Unless it went for peanuts I would steer well clear of that one 😂
As Simon Rose has pointed out there was a huge fire at Copart just prior to the sale of that car… I wonder if the customer returned it…or it never left the yard.
We’ll never know unless both listings have said run and drive and Copart fried the ecu with a jump pack and buyer taken this long to reject it. If can’t see current bid at beginning of vid who knows. Saw listing earlier in week but wasn’t great amount from memory. So few people weren’t falling for it.
Looks like it was further damaged in the fire ,maybe taken this long for Coparts own insurance to pay out for the fire damaged stock as some will inevitably been total loss
Definitely something fishy going on there. The weird damage to windscreen would concern me, looks as if bonnet had been pushed back and broke glass but bonnet looks undamaged. Maybe someone replaced bonnet to hide damage to bulkhead. Who knows, but bonnet looked a slightly different shade to rest of car. Unless it went really cheap I would have avoided that one 👍

Estimated value £9100....someone was smoking crack when they valued that one 🤣🤣 It's been exposed to a fair bit of heat, back light is all blistered and is that bird poo on paint or is it all damaged from ash and hot debris landing on it. Not worth the hassle unless it's mega cheap, especially as it seems to be impossible to sell cars at moment...unless it's just me ☹
@@SalvageMasterEssex it could be ash I suppose difficult to tell. I’m surprised they haven’t got more cars like this.

Wasn't there a fire at one of the Copart depots a while ago? I wonder whether it was collateral damage.
Paul things happen for a reason mate, think you dodged a bullet there…I’d say the bonnet had definitely been swapped to make it look like damage…
I would have had a punt at the right price. Doesn't seem to have come back so far.
@@Love500 if cheap enough I suppose it’s worth a punt…it looks like the passenger side chassis leg had moved as well..I’m sure half the time they remove the front bumper to make the damage look less and can’t see what/where the impact was.
