What’s the movie about?

This trilogy will never get old. I mean it feels like you’re actually IN the comic. And also you can really appreciate and understand how powerful Spiderman is as a superhero! The fights scenes are iconic honestly. No super technological suit, just his powers.

Exactly! I loved the raw feeling the first trilogy gives, even if the plot is contrived and not as properly written as the ones in the new trilogy. It will forever be the best trilogy for me.

I've recently rewatched the whole trilogy after probably 10 years or so and man... these films aged like fine wine. I was actually shocked how great they are.
Yeah i was rewatching it and it feels like I was just watching it for the first time! It’s still fun! never ever felt the same feeling since Tobey left in my childhood compare to the other spiderman that we have now. Raimi films just got my heart and the films itself just set the bar too high! I just couldn’t replaced Tobey..
And imagine Tobey maguire spiderman 4 with the new cgi and great visuals tech that we have today! Sadly it was just every childhood dream to ever that happen..

These movies are still the king for how well they showed Peter’s agility and unyielding fighting style. Peter is a brawler up close and personal, quick and determined, still has yet to be surpassed by the other movies

Andrews spidey is textbook agility and speed, whether it's through him climbing his webbing when he's swinging, dodging Electro between the conductive pillars, or literally crawling around the lizard like a spider. Tobeys speed while fighting always felt inconsistent, especially compared to the newer Spider-Man. They did an amazing job of making the punches and hits FEEL heavy however so I definitely agree there. Also, personal opinion, but I just felt there were wayyyy too many moments in the raimi trilogy fight scenes where spidey could've been talking, being sarcastic and quippy, instead it's just grunting and the sFX of punches and hits. Like, he's fighting a man he SAW was made out of SAND for the first time and all he can say is "I'm the sheriff around these parts" and "uh oh"?? Part of Spider-Man is constantly keeping his quips going throughout fights, as it messes with the villains head. These movies massively failed in that aspect.

@@Link-pr9id I hear ya, raimi Spiderman definitely could of been a bit more quippy I liked Andrew’s Spidy being agile and using webs a lot I just wished he had the brawler side as well. Would of made it perfect. After seeing no way home (minor spoilers)
MCU’s Peter finally got to add the brawling side to his fighting and now I think he is on his way to being a perfect combo of Tobey and Andrew

All these years and I JUST noticed that at 1:34 Ock saw that other train behind Peter and used a tentacle to pull Pete out as far as possible to maximize the chances of Spidey getting wrecked by that oncoming train. He looks at it a second time right before he retreats to the top of the train he’s fighting Pete on.
I love when Tobey's Spiderman is fighting the bad guy, he always scream like he is afraid, scared, terrified it just shows how much human he is. I just noticed with Garlfield's and Holland's Spiderman its the other way around especially with Garlfield cocky spiderman.
I think a mix of Andrew and tobey would be perfect. Still grunts and screams, but cracks a few more jokes as Spider-Man should. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is a mess tho

Tobey Mcguires peter will always be my favorite, not as showy and cocky, he always dives head first into real danger without a second thought or hesitation. I like Holland and Garfield but they really emphasized his youth (which i get is the point) inexperience and cockiness. Tobey McGuire as peter always felt more invested, serious, strong and selfless, that guy is unquestionably a hero. making the reveal on the train in spiderman 2 all the more resounding "he's just a kid"
When he and Harry work together to save Mary Jane in Spider-Man 3... I feel that is an honorable mention

I love Tobey's deep, soulful Spiderman. His sweet, tortured portrayal. His vulnerability, kindness, sacrifice, and deep love for those close to him. He embodies a true superhero. Tobey was also a very strong, muscular Spiderman but also so graceful in the way he moved, swung with his webs, and landed. Danny Elfman gave him a proper hero musical theme to enhance all of this as well. This trilogy is not just nostalgia. Tobey's Spiderman is the best and Sam Raimi had a wonderful creative vision that helped see the trilogy through to its conclusion. Bravo.

All of the spiderman actors are good in their own ways. Though I prefer tobey, tom does a great job doing the whole kid being spiderman thing well as Tobey wasn't able to do that sadly. I'm not really a huge tom fan but even I have to say that. Tobey however captures the human side of peter parker perfectly! A kid from queens does a selfish action and has the ultimate karma comeback. Tobey is the best Peter Parker and older spiderman but tom fits that more young side to me and Andrew... Well I don't personally like him that much but he has the sarcastic tone to him and assholeish side of peter and Spidey but he overuses it in my opinion

This is the truest, and coolest, Spider-Man ever. I love Sam Raimi's trilogy, for me it's a masterpiece! The Garfield dilogy are good movies, but not the level of this trilogy.... And the current spider holand, it's kindergarten, with cheesy graphics, disgusting acting, plot, cast and everything else.
lets be honest, the whole movie except the dancing black suit scenes were all the best moments
sam really went and showed the way he fights and might dodge but not always and his spidey sense is always more lawfull like in the train fight , takes a while cause he has other exterior factors to dodge like the other train

well this trilogy definitely is the best. It shows how powerful Peter is without technology. It's super funny and without making the charater ridiculous. The fight scenes aren't boring or tiring but super realiastic. And i love the fact that he has real webs. His suit is the most pretty, but the best thing about this movies is that Tobey is the mc.

the spider-man 2 train fight will forever be me personal favorite moment in all of marvel. Such an awesome 1 on 1 that ends with both of the characters coming out in defeat, but also victory.
