    I wish I'd watched this 11 years ago when I did the clutch for the first time. And then again last week when I did it for the second time.

    I’ve got a DMF I was going to throw away but if they are no longer available new I think I’ll save it & have it resurfaced. Good video 👍🏻

    were did the other oil leakage came from?

    Thanks for you video!

    Awesome! I'm surprised that the DMFs are not available. These should the same 6 speed gearboxes as for the JTD versiosns on 156, 147 and GTs, right?

    hello thank you for the video I did all that but now it looks like the clutch is not disengaged enough it is really missing a little so that the first and reverse gear goes perfectly when the engine is at idle I re-purge about ten many times without improving the result ...

    • @_RicksGarage

      Have you fitted a new clutch slave cylinder? If not then maybe try that

      Check the gear linkages is the first thing I'd be doing, might be a completely external issue.

    What’s the risk not using that black plastic on the release bearing. Pretty much reassembled my car, not tested but I definitely didn’t use that black plastic. Do you think I need to take it all apart again?

    • @_RicksGarage
      @_RicksGarage  Před 3 lety +1

      No don’t take it apart again. The ring in the centre of the clutch plate is tapered, therefore, in theory, the release bearing should still engage without too much force.... It will just take a little more persuasion. You may have to tap the clutch fork arm with hammer to engage it. Obviously without whacking it and risking damaging something

    • @_RicksGarage

      Nope. No pilot on the V6. Totally different to the TS and JTS

      @@_RicksGarage Interesting. I've learned something new. I've never worked on the V6 version. One less part to worry about I guess. I'm going to look at that gearbox cleaning again to see what's on the end of that input shaft.

    • @dasdasdsdasdasdasd363
      @dasdasdsdasdasdasd363 Před 3 lety

      Oh right. There is no machined surface at the end of the spline. Maybe that steel part with the oring on holds it all steady.
