In the late 1980’s, I found a fellow who had 2 Furys (1957 & 1958) in a barn. The cars had been sitting for many years and were covered in ash from Mt. St Helen’s eruption. He sold me the ‘58 and I drove it 60 miles home. The ‘58s engine had originally had a 350 golden commando which had been swapped for a newer 383 but had the dual carbs with the oval air filters. It had a gold anodized grill and inserts and had been painted black. Such a cool car.
The 1957 Fury had the 318 with duel carbs and the owner kept that one. I drove that car for a few years and it was awesome. Unfortunately, I had to sell the ‘58 when I moved from Washington to California. As I recal, I sold the car for around $1500. Wish I had kept it…..
Great work you all. And
Thank you
Ice-Man is hilarious 😂
I’d love to see him make a tribute build to the prototype A925 Hemi
Mopar fan here and love the subject matter for sure. The juvenile content does get a bit tedious though....
I was wondering why the cover story picture was an engine painted in Oldsmobile gold. It was GM MOTORS color. I didn't know the movie car Christine's engine was painted a GM color. Mike, you lucky dog! You got a Belvedere package deal?!
Now that's funny!
OK Mark; come on with The NEW MOVIE "Christine"!
1958 350 b engine one year only so rare motor indeed- then became 361 engine
