When The Bat man basically tells you "You're my hero."
I love that so much
Almost brought me to tears update: crying
And not alfred
This is a highly under rated comment , it deserves more likes 👍🏼
Sure it's not "Batman"?
Batman revealing his identity to Gordon always gives me goosebumps
Same this entire sequence up until the bomb goes off because the music is so good
Does me too. Makes me emotional.
yep it was like a dad and son moment. "i cant tell you who i am dad, but you were allways supporting me"
Its the same way he revealed himself to Rachel. With words
Bruce Wayne? 🤔
Batman telling Gordon how much that gesture meant to him as a kid is easily the most emotional moment in the trilogy.
Come on, Alfred leaving Bruce is sadder...
Gordon is the actual hero of the story
@@shmuelsynett3709And Alfred crying over his grave :(
@MrFancyFresh yeah that one killed me
I love Nolan endings.
For those who want him alive, he uses autopilot.
For those who want him dead, it's just Alfred's imagination at the cafe.
I'm of the mindset, like Kevin Smith once said, that scene at the cafe should have just been the shot of Alfred!
To be fair everything implies he is alive, all his goods were given to Alfred and gothan city, all but his mother necklace that disappeared from the records, as well as the scene where Fox discovers that Bruce fixed the auto pilot patch
BUt he is alive tho, if u watch the scene with fox
Batman died, Bruce lived
The subtleties at the end were messages to each character that he survived. The bat signal being repaired showed Gordon Batman lives, the mysterious note to Blake and access to the bat cave, the autopilot patch to the bat wing for Lucius, the pearled necklace to Selena, and for Alfred, his fantasy coming true. Each of those were subtle but obvious messages from Bruce saying “I’m alive”
“‘A hero can be anyone, even someone doing something as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy’s shoulders, to let him know the world hadn’t ended.”
Yep best line and true
usher luck from college humor
usher luck I forgot that Jim Gordon knows that Bruce is Batman
@Yaroslav L Apparently all 50 boys also had coats around their shoulders? That and Bruce being the only one of them with the resources to be Batman.
What a mouthful. That line definitely needed a trim.
It wasn't "no autopilot", it was "no, autopilot". Genius.

I was emotional during that. Imagine thinking your world is going to end in a minute and see Batman coming out with that bomb. Complete meltdown
0:48 the way Gordon’s scarf flaps in the wind, even for a moment, really drives home just how much of a hero he was for that young boy.

Underrated comment
his voice sounded way better in batman begins
1:37 "No, that's Batman!"
Gives me goosebumps everytime
Ok so those who are confused about Bruce’s “death” he’s not. Each scene of of each character at the end was a unique message from Bruce saying “I’m alive”. Lucius’ auto pilot was fixed, when fixed he asked who made the patch, only to get a reply, “Bruce Wayne”. Selena tho you don’t see it is the pearl necklace, as Bruce’s gift to Selena after the incedent. Officer Blake or Robin gets a note from a “anonymous person” thus leading to the bat cave. For Gordon he sees the bat signal being repaired telling him Bruce lived and that Batman will live on in some form. As for Alfred, his fantasy comes true when he goes to Italy and sees Bruce sitting down with Selena, showing that he “made it” as quoted from Alfred earlier in the movie. If you want to count his death as head canon go ahead but it won’t refute the immense evidence that he is alive
Yup that's right batman die,but Bruce not
how did he survive tho?
@@lolwhat19 He ejected from the Batwing at some point, maybe over a building or when it was over the ocean, and let the autopilot carry the bomb the rest of the way.

Because Batman was born when Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed, in this scene Batman dies but Bruce Wayne lives, it's brilliant.
No other Batman movie series did Gordon/Batman as well as Nolan's. It's as true to the comics as it gets. Every time Bale and Oldman are on screen together, it just clicks. I love the reveal. Gordon has to feel proud that his simple act of kindness might have been the difference between Bruce becoming Batman or the Joker. I wasn't the biggest fan of DKR, but it definitely had its moments. I don't think any Batman trilogy can ever top Nolan's.
This is how Batman would go out realistically, nameless, self sacrificing to the end, but his personal code unbroken.
