You mealy adopted the dark. I was born in it, moulded by it, I didn't see the light until I was already a man but then it was nothing to me but blinding!
Bane’s mother was probably named Allie. He was born from her, molded by her.
This is one of the best Banes. He’s not just a strong and idiot dude, but a smart, shifty, fearful and incredibly strong man. I just love it.
I know in other media ( like Batman and Robin) Bane is the definition of an idiot but in this film he is smart
Also Arkham Origins
With a strong motive against batman
Bane is said to be one of Batman's smartest and most dangerous foes. His venom addiction may drive him insane but he certainly was never stupid.
@@srslyimnotaspy101 agreed, and if I’m not mistaken there’s a comic where bane strategically timed different crimes to give Batman no time to rest so when he eventually reached bane , Batman was totally spent. And I don’t remember the specifics as to how but bane in another comic figured out by himself Batman’s identity, something only few Batman villains have done
Notice that : When Bane said '' I didn't see the light i was already a man'' Hinted already that he was not the child who escaped the pit... its amazing how we got caught in the action and suspense of his word and environment that we fail realize this hint in plain sight

"Theatricality and Deception, powerful agents to the uninitiated" this line is deep and took me a while to understand.
What does it mean?
@@hubflower5433 Bane is saying that Batman's tricks are really useful against your average crook or tough guy, because he won't know what's coming. But Bane and Batman were both trained in the League of Shadows, so they can't be fooled so easily. Batman is desperate at this point in the fight so he's trying weak tricks that don't even make Bane flinch.
It's like the equivalent of two trained fighters going at it and one of them offers a weak fake-out punch. The other one wouldn't be fooled by something so basic.

Scarecrow, who broke his Mind.

Two-Face, who broke his Hope.
Bane, who broke his Body.
Talia, who broke his Love.
CatWoman broke his trust.
Joe Chill broke his life
Same. Mom left me at Walmart, broke my trust
Jack Hsu and people will still say Christian Bale’s Batman’s not as good as Michael Keaton.
Legend has it, Rachel Dawes broke his virginity
The soldiers are not worried about Bane, They are worried about Batman
I know right
They knew where that would end. A hard scene to watch.
Maybe some of them have grown up hearing about the legend of Batman or experienced Batman helping Gotham, much like the older cop in an earlier scene. Now, they are stunned silently to see their hero and shining symbol broken by Bane.
@@Quball87exactly. Nolan explains in the movie banes plan is eventually to trap batman down there by using the knowledge of him being Bruce way. He has Catwoman steal it then make a deal with him.
Bane gets him in front of his old and new troops from Gotham who know who Batman and Bruce Wayne are. All the soldiers in banes group know he's Bruce Wayne.
Bane takes him one one on one in front of them to prove a point.
The fight starts off with Batman doing damage to bane who can't feel any of it so he just walks through it
When he's kicked off the catwalk and bane picks him up Batman is throat punch bane who literally isn't feeling it and Batman is starting to freak out. Keep in mind bane keeps punching Batman in the liver by the end Batman is in such pain because his liver nerve is freaking out he can't even stand.

The best thing about the scene is how the gaurds are just standing there with fear and kind of pity for batman in there eyes and not doing a thing because they know that no one can beat bane. Shows how powerful he really is!
2:31 He sounds so vicious
Christopher Nolan really captured the true essence of Bane in this film. Unlike the one from Batman and Robin, this Bane actually has some intelligence behind him, just like how he was in the original comics.
Bane is one of Batman's biggest adversaries (probably right next to the Joker) and this scene perfectly sells that idea.
The Bane from Batman and Robin is like the Rhino from The Amazing Spider-Man 2. A waste of screen time and a betrayal to an otherwise good villain.
Tom Hardy's physical presence in this film is actually terrifying. Man MADE Bane feel powerful, and I don't just mean muscle mass. Dude has a serious shadow behind him the whole movie, and you FEEL that in every scene, but escpecially this one. He is just letting Batman beat on him until he decides, "right, well this has been fun, but I've got things to do, so, later Batty."
Badass.
Probaly one of the best movies ever and the best actors in one movie.

@hardstyle905You're pathetic.
Top 10 scene of all time!!! So many little hints, and the scene itself is absolutely legendary.
Unlike half the superhero films in existence these day, The Dark Knight Rises and the rest of the Dark Knight Trilogy made it possible to show a Batman that didn't need the help of CGI during combat, but simple martial arts skills. I love how this scene showed how weak Bruce had become in the eight years in exile. In his prime, he was a symbol of strength and fear, using the skills he had acquired during his time with the League and showing true strength. But in a fight where the years took their toll on him, and a man who spent his entire life in training and in combat, there can be no victory. Bane was absolutely ruthless, precise with his strikes, and word vomit that would break the spirit of even the greatest warrior. Chistopher Nolan is simply a genius.
