one of the two (that I've found so far) videos that are aware of half-cocking the gun to line up the marks on the slide & frame for takedown. The video by cz-usa doesn't even mention it. lol its a nice tip. thumbs up!
i have a cz sp01 shadow after i got it out of the box i de oiled it with rubbing alcohol then lubed the barrel with mil comm grease on outside and oil on inside. then oil and greese on the rails. now i have the best there is on the whole gun
What sights do you have on yours? My stock sights were hard to use and it does seem like it’s shooting low. I’m not opposed to it being user error but I’m just trying to collect info. However, I don’t want to go the fiber optic route.
I just bought mine a few days ago I'm having trouble getting that slide off I tried using the magazine to push that button in but I don't know if its because its brand new but it doesn't work I might have to take it back to the shop and let them know about this but I'm going to try the half cocked trick first if not back to the store.
Steven Finfrock mine was the same way... I assume you got it off by now but mine was tough also. I did use the plastic end of the mag and pushed quite hard and it came out. After a few times of doing that, it gets easier as you go. Don’t be afraid to push hard.
GREAT VIDEO…THANKS….ORDERED MY CZ ACCUS SHADOW LITE AND IT IS DUE TO ARRIVE TOMORROW…THIS HELPED WITH HOW TO BREAK IT DOWN FOR CLEANING…HOW DO YOU LIKE YOUR CZ? I'M HOPING THE GRIP WON'T BE TO BIG FOR MY SMALL HANDS...
I have a question when disassembling. I have the hammer half cocked and take the slide pin out but I have to slightly pull my trigger for the slide to come out. Watching your cleaning video you didn't have to pull the trigger. Why would I have to slightly pull the trigger for the slide to come out? With you CZ75 SP01 yours didn't? Thank you, Keith
I just bought a new CZ 75 SP-01. I haven't fired it yet. When I was doing the initial cleaning, I noticed that there was some of what looked like copper fouling on the feed ramp. The barrel itself was very clean after just a few patches, however, the stuff on the feed ramp (I'm betting it's copper considering the color) didn't come off. Is it normal for there to be some copper on a NIB gun? I'm a little worried but mostly pissed about it. It didn't look like rust either. So, is is it possible that it could just be some copper fouling from the factory or did the seller sell me a used gun? Also, my barrel doesn't have that shiny metal look. It's more black on the outside like the gun itself. The bore still looks like that shiny metal color though. Is that normal?
+sloppyjoe999s Thanks for the quick reply. There does look like to be a fair amount on there though. It not just a little copper color. It looks more like a glob of copper on there. Do I need to clean it off there first, or should I try and firing it first?
+Balthazzarr personally I like to go through and clean and lube a gun after purchase regardless of its new or used. I'd clean and lube to your liking and then go shoot it. If there is a pistol that I wish I could have the joy of shooting for the first time all over again, I'd be the sp-01
+sloppyjoe999s I cleaned and lubed the gun already. Still haven't fired it yet, because there was that, I'm guessing, copper on the feed ramp. The rest of the gun seems perfectly fine to me. It's not exactly spotless, but it's definitely clean, that is except for the copper. It's really got me bummed out. I was hoping to shoot, but now I'm probably going to have to go through a ton of trouble to get it off. It just seems odd that that amount could be retained just from the test firing at the factory.
In all due respect Sloppy Joe, you cut too many corners. For instance, after you hve run a bore snake down the barrel, run a clean cotton patch throught it. Ah Ha. Did you notice how filthy the patch came out? You are far from finished my friend!

2021: "I try to find ammo."
Right on man, cool stuff
nice video bro!
4:55 what are the two metal extrusions called in the middle of the lower barrel? One of these appears orange on mine. Wondering if it’s rust
How did you get your barrel to look like stainless steel?

Does this firearm have cut rifling or polygonal like the IWI Jerico?
Cut rifling.

Probably from factory test firing

+Balthazzarr I'd just shoot it. Go run 100+ rounds and clean after.
what's the brand of clean ammo again ?
He mentioned Sellier & Bellot 115gr
you polish your barrel
👍

my SP01 cycles EVERYTHING from premium loads down to cheap assed bogus loads.
Only difference is accuracy
John Bobrink absolutely. It will feed nearly anything, just a matter of the accuracy of the round and how completely Filthy it makes the gun
+sloppyjoe999s true that....and I love my SP01 best 9mm ever....plastic glock owners beware LOL
I just always use a fuck load of CLP on thr AK and 1911.
dont forget to remove the grips....they will deteriorate if exposed to chemical cleaners and lubes.
Less talking man. That's a cleaning video.
Crappy cleaning job. That gun deserves better.
