- Part 2 of my training at the Dutch Police Academy. Besides riding on pavement and doing my best (and failing) at lots of low speed handling exercises, we also take to cross! Part of the police academy training is riding in the dirt, and well.. I think it's obvious I LOVED it!!

The police instructors are excellent. Great advert for Dutch police and I hope your videos will encourage more female police officers to become motorcycle cops.
Positive comment well said.
In the 1980's I did the police circuit training at the Zandvoort Formula 1 race track. One of the instructors made a bet.. for a crate of beer.. He was able to ride the full circuit standing on the saddle of the police bike. Every 3 weeks :-) he won a crate of beer.
My first female, direct collegue, even in the same team, who got the police motorbike training was around 1985. Many female collegues followed. I have not the impression there is any diffrence, based on sexe in the Dutch police. All functions open to all, for many years already.
I do get your point Dickie, but I am like you (from a different generation) this great remark is about engagement of this young fine brilliant generation...
Having a lot of fun
The instructors were SOOO AMAZING, but girl you were FIERCE. Well done Noraly!
FIERCE! Exactly! And a big Thumbs Up to the Police Academy Instructors too!
❤Loved it, Noraly! Extraordinary handling and fantastic experience 🏍❤. Thank you, Noraly, for sharing! You have a Wonderful gift and how you bring us all together along with you is priceless. The trainers were very good with you & the challenges you accomplished!! Congratulations 👍🏍
Police Instructor: "Do you have any off-road experience?"
Noraly: "Hold my Heineken!!!"
Seriously, to do that was a privilege. These guys are the Top Gun of Dutch Motorcycle training, I would love to spend a day (or more) doing what Noraly did !!!
Depends. I`ve lost them on multiple occasions on the bike. When it`s going really fast they can`t keep up. Was caught once when i stopped because the traffic was just too much.
In the city and streets it would be a different story.
Thank you for sharing and a big shout out to the Dutch Police for making this episode possible!
"You've got some off road experience?" Noraly trying not to laugh...."Yes"
Technically there were always roads? In earlier videos i found it a bit confusing when she talks about offroading. Always looked like perfectly good roads to me, it's just not always paved over.
But i'm not a rider, maybe it's just a term.
Na Ri Though it is a road and unpaved, there are ruts, potholes, loose dirt or gravel, if there is a stream or it’s raining then you’re dealing with mud. And it is easier to control an automobile than a motorcycle in such conditions. And it is possible to lose control of either if you’re driving too fast or too slow.
And you only get better by experience!
@@nari5025 she had oman expirience
@@nari5025 Did you see the river gushing across the mountain road during the storm in South America. I can't remember which country. I just remember being relieved that she was safely on the other side. Yes, it was a road. Huge parts had been washed down the mountain. She was crossing during a major wash. Noraly walks close to the line so many times. We all breathe a deep sigh of relief when she emerges on the other side. A few of us have walked close enough to see the line. But most have never walked as close as she has. Watch all of her videos. There are some single track as well as some times that the roads disappear and she is trying to find a route to civilization.
@@nari5025 Off Road can have values that vary from no paving, to no previous track.
18:30 Training Officer: "You've got some off road experience?" Noraly, "Yah" then that giggle we all enjoy. I have no doubt the officer was quite impressed, as he all but confessed in acknowledging the one exercise Noraly is the only "trainee" he's ever had attempt it. Police officers around the world are great folks....So glad they gave our heroine the chance to do this.
I realy like how every obstacle, every mistake is rather not taken as failure ,- than as a nice oportunity to make a lesson out of it ! Thats a total relaxed way to teach an learn ...Thumps UP to the NL Police Acadamy :-D
It's like that in pretty much every structure in the netherlands. I work at a big bank and the same kind of culture operates there. If I or someone else makes a mistake we go 'okay why/how did this happen? What lessons can we learn from this and how can we turn this negative into a positive?'
Understatement of the year: "you have some off-road experience".
Yh I felt she had 0 experience off rd lol loved the video n now have some more training to do myself
Very good. The instructor was excellent. He was gentle but still challenged you. There aren't many gifted teachers like that.
At least for the bits she edited in - there might be more we did not see............
These motor cops are true professionals in the manner that they interact with the people they serve, or civilians. A stark contrast to the motor cops in another country that I'm thinking of. Very impressed with them indeed. I also have no doubt that they were impressed with your grit, Noraly. Thanks for sharing this very enlightening series of episodes with them.
In Ireland 🇮🇪, they're the same, without the marvellous track, we've got Donameade strand for that.... take your clothes off, on the sandunes, and stay upright.
Totally agree. Just retired as a police officer in England after more than 30 years. I also served in Germany / Holland in the RAF ...... and these guys are more professional and the most similar to UK police than all those others I have experienced. ' Of the people for the people ' .
I was impressed by the fact that the instructors did not appear to give you any slack. They maintained their expectations
high for you. A sure sign that you had earned their respect - no easy task. Congratulations. Happy New Year!
They are great instructors. When your student is learning fast you need to challenge them when they fail, not go slower. You need to keep the fast learner interested. That's what they did with her.
Yes he watched her very closely and evaluated her ability and took her to her next level! He did an excellent job of challenging her and pushing her abilities.
Amazing instructor , no wonder why the Dutch police is one of the best in the world.
I've just spent the last 30mins with a big grin on my face. Thank you.
Yeah
We had an absolute blast as well. 😁🏴🇬🇧
I grew up in Lelystad but live in Australia now for over 20 years, it's so funny to see that every hill is man-made.
I've been riding bikes for 50 years and consider myself a reasonably experienced rider but in these last few weeks you have way surpassed me with you're motorcycle all-round experience and experiences. Brilliant.
What a brilliant instructor you have 👍👍
My favorite comment was "You have off road experience?" and I thought uhhh Yes! The trainer should check out Noraly's earlier seasons and the roads in Asia or South America. Today's training looks difficult but fun. You are a trooper!
He said it in a way which suggests he knows that
I am sure they are all subscribers to her channel. If they were not before - now they are....
As a former cop, knowing how tough the courses at Lelystad are....
I AM PROUD OF YOU! YOU DID VERY WELL.
This little Bike academy movie is the best advertise the Police ever had.... Well done Noraly. Great Episode. Especially the breaking in corners was an eye opener to me! 👌👍
"OOPAH!!" Noraly at the off-road Roller Coaster. So much fun in this episode, and nearly a half-hour, too. Good job!
The end of this episode was the most fun to watch of all the seasons. It looks like you were having fun. The Academy guys seems very nice and friendly. Happy New Year Noraly.
That part was watching a Noraly in her natural habitat 🙂
Superb trainer and brave student! Great filming..thankyou.😊
Dank voor deze video, zoveel herkenning. Zelf in 2007 deze opleiding gedaan. Bij de start had ik net drie weken mijn rijbewijs. Na de eerste week kon ik niet meer normaal zitten door de zadelpijn 😜.
Brilliant video, thanks for all these video's, they're a tonic to watch in these difficult times. A big Thumbs👍👍 up to the Dutch Police too, for allowing you to take part in their training. Happy 2021 to all that read this. Take care everyone.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all Itchy Booters 🥂🍾🎊🧨😉
Exactly. Itchy Booters. Cheers from a transplanted Dane.
Happy New Year to you too ! - and to all the rest of us “Itchy-booters”,! May everyone be well and have a wonderful 2021 !❤️🍾
You are A1 Noraly, all this on bikes you had never ridden. You had fantastic instructors. They are the same genre as the police instructors in UK that do the I.A.M. as observers. First class all of them and the patience of saints "normally."
You just killed ever challenge they put in front of you! "OPPAA" can be heard around the world now. Best Episode so far, loving every bit of this.
Your instructors and everyone else were so welcoming and encouraging.
Great episode and very entertaining .
Some propaganda from the bleu bastards. They are polishing their image after beating up eldery people ore anyone else that stand for freedom. They are all idiots following commands. Today they laugh with you tommorow they bring your kids to a covid camp..2020 show us the true face of the police system
The academy instructor at the cross track knew and saw Noraly was an experienced and accompished rider.
Brilliant teachers. They are so cool and patient. No blame game, just let's look at the issue and solve it. Brilliant!
I did an advanced skills course offered privately by a number of long time police instructors last summer, loved it. These guys would LOVE for have a training facility like that! Awesome!! I'm sure cops around the world would be very jealous!!
Happy New Year 2021 to the Internet 😊
Love from Nepal 💙🇳🇵
You too sir
You are so awesome!! Police acadamy was SUPER!! 👌👏👏.
Nice to see the respect of the police for Noraly. They know, that Noraly is an biking ambassador for the Netherlands.
The instructors are so good!!!!
You only dumped the bikes a few times...I’d call that a success! 😆😆
You did great and I was very nervous for you, so I hope you enjoyed it. You should very proud!
I haven't watched yet, busy day, but today I got my Noraly T Shirt for my 70th Birthday. Pretty good day.
Got my T shirt for my 69th. got my license 3 months ago. What did we Itchy booters do BN (before Noraly)? Silly question but is she the best CZcamsr ever?
@@surferdude7013 right now, for motorcyclists, she's certainly somewhere at the top.
Probably the first time the instructors had someone shouting 'Wey Hey...' etc during their course. Great stuff. Well done Dutch Police...amd you too Noraly, top riding.
You’re not the only one who had a blast! I enjoyed these two last episodes very much Noraly. You were great and also the police with their training.
I might emigrate to the Netherlands and join the Motorcycle-Police just to get a go at this Parcour...very cool!
What an amazing experience you had there. I'm so glad the Dutch Police were so gracious to give you that experience.
I watched both police academy videos, and I've got to say that as an ex instructor (not police), who has also spent quite a bit of time working cycling events with police solos, as a moto scout, I love the way that most police ride. These guys you got to train with are just great, they have the relaxed easy going attitude that comes with real mastery of their specialty. No stress at all, just explain what should happen, how to make it happen, and then why it didn't happen, so you can adjust your riding and get it next time. The chief instructor is really on his game, he has the ease that riders develop when they spend all their working hours on a bike, and he has that rare ability to clearly communicate exactly what is needed to overcome some difficult excercises (braking in a corner is not as easy to teach as he makes it look). The fact that his students pick it up so fast, means he is really good at what he does. I think I will be watching a lot more of your videos, it's nice to see someone who has a great attitude towards riding, and obviously loves it the way you do. You are inspiring me to get out and ride more, and start finding that enjoyment again after nearly 8 years off a bike. I had a bad accident (not bike, or car related) where I had a paralysed right arm that I have fought for years to regain movement and control with. I have enough movement to slowly ride my dirt bike, but haven''t got the front brake, or throttle control yet to feel comfortable back on a big road bike. That will come with time, and also with the encouragement that your clips bring me as I watch you conquering your fear and ramping up your learning curve continuously. Keep it up, and you will become a very competent safe rider.
I noticed the same thing. My license instructor rides like that too and I find it extremely difficult to emulate, probably like you say a lot of training to get relaxed like that an not working unnecessarily with the body.
@@kristofferrydquist8384 I have been back on the road riding now since last November, and I have noticed that my riding fitness is very lacking after so many years off a big road bike. As always, practice, practice, practice, and it is slowly getting easier. I recently bought an old ex police R1200 RT, and it's pretty big and bulky to throw around, but head position, and where you are looking during a corner makes a big difference. I am getting more used to the bike , and am starting to find that it is quite flickable from lane to lane if you stay relaxed, although I am finding it runs out of ground clearance in corners quite easily. I think it must have a pretty long wheelbase, even though it looks balanced because it needs to be leant over a long way to get round corners that don't look too tight. The worst thing is my bum is suffering from lack of toughness on long rides, and will probably take a long time to acclimatize to it. Break out the sheepskin.
You did amazingly well on your police bike training course, well done indeed, brilliant .
You were not the only one to be a little bit overwhelmed with that one. Very well done. Alan.
I am just now catching up with your previous videos and these ones with the motopolice have just been extraordinary. I've never wanted to be a motocop in the Netherlands more than I do right now. Which means nothing since I'm just some guy from the US that's never even been on a bike. But I think those officers were seriously impressed. I've been watching the latest series through Africa, but I think if you ever stop riding around the world, I would watch the "Adventures of Noraly the MotoCop" as well. Think of it...Noraly on a big boxer BMW responding to calls and chasing down bad guys...perfect!
Nothing like it anywhere else, I don't think. Great instructors, make me want to be part of their rider group !
I really enjoyed this 2 part series. Your first instructor, the tall guy with the Hi Viz jacket, he really wanted you to learn as you went instead of just taking you through the excercises. Noraly, you did awesome! Congrats!
Who are the 86 idiots that gave this woman a thumbs down!???
Happy new year Noraly :)
They're just jealous cause the can't ride as well as her. Hurt male ego.
They're all "incels".
This was an amazing opportunity Noraly. I actually went onto the Netherlands Police Twitter account and was going to leave accolades to them for allowing us to experience this but it is all in Dutch so I had no clue lol. This would rarely, if ever, happen in the US.
Watching this in lockdown brought a huge grin to my face. You rode brilliantly and your enthusiasm is contagious....thank you for sharing!
There could be no better way to end this year on your channel, Noraly. This was one of the best, funniest and most exciting episodes ever. I was also impressed by the quality of training of the Dutch Politie and how kind they were to you. Big thumbs up for them too.
I'm very glad that early this year I came across your channel when searching for a good pic of a RE to put on the desktop.
Since this is the last video of 2020 I wish you a happy new year for you, for your family and for your extended family that are now 631000 people all over the world that do like and care about you.
See you on your next video.
correct me if I am wrong but I think you enjoy off road more than on road, what a blast that was, well done you. Happy New year to you ❤
I think I found a new hero. Brave girl! And a great rider.
You handled that well. Well done the Police for giving all of us some good instruction. Thoroughly enjoyed the video
I can almost hear the adrenaline pumping!
Those Police instructors are really superb guys, what a fantastic experience.... and two excellent video's.
I think we can all benefit from time with the police force teachers. It looked like they were very welcoming and I know from experience that they are great riders
That was a great experience!
And you didn't swear once, you're always in good spirits!
People interested in Dutch motorcycle police, I can recommend 'politievlogger Jan-Willem'.
Noraly, I don't know if you're ever going to read this, but you may consider a KNMV course/advanced course. They'll teach on the street and also on this track at Lelystad.
For our foreign visitors, Lelystad is not just a city, there's also this and other tracks, and an airport.
Just when I was thinking "Why not use the stairs?" the instructor said the same thing. 😁 Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best.
Happy new year Noraly, let's hope 2021 is a lot better then 2020.
Wow! Very comprehensive training! You did great!. Those instructors are Superstars!
All the dirtbike stuff looked like a super fun time.
I can see Noraly on Ronin sitting at a stoplight and looking at nearby stairs and getting a big smile.
Happy New Year.
You are absolutely the cutiest Mc-Police ever and You have traveled where none of them would dare to drive, ALONE! It´s nice to see You filling up the time waiting for to continue Your voyage to Alaska with all these nice videos from Holland! Hard not to love You Noraly!
You get crazier every blog ,but I love to see you taking the challenge . Keep it up
The teachings as well as the exercises in these episodes are worth the unpredictable when you get back into the adventures of the world.
Noraly you have the best job in the world... Happy New Year....Ride Safe
I really love seeing your passion of motorcycles and branching out and seeing all the variety of riding that can be done.
These two days were great, especially today. I would love to do these practices. The instructor was great. He gave great instructions and was very patient. You did great. I could see/hear how impressed he was. You may get a phone call if they need a motorcycle cop to fill in one day....😅😜
I'm truly impressed by your confidence and riding skills; some of your very best videos ever. Felt like I was there doing the exercises with you. Thanks and well done.
Love her attitude! She never seems to get frustrated or angry.
That was the most fun episode to watch of any that you have done, no contest ! the laugh out loud moment was when the cross instructor said "you have some off-road experience ?", And laugh out loud I did.
That guy is a great instructor, very laidback and confident. This inspires confidence in the students.
It’s way more productive than the old days of the drill instructor mentality. That’s usually what you get when instructors lack the experience to be an instructor. They just yell at the students and tell them they’re wrong because the lack confidence in their own abilities.
Every rider should practice slow speed manouvres if they do not ride in city traffic every day. Laughing while about to crash always tickles me. Hats off to the Dutch MC cops, job well done. Happy new year!
When the officers were asking about your boots you should have said they are are Itchy Boots 😁. I learned things watching both or your police training videos. Thank you and Happy New Year!
Quote: “So Much Fun - Super Cool!” I smiled throughout the entire video. Good Job!
Those police were awesome.
Until they stop you
SO WHAT???
Those policemen were amazing instructors, they gave you some valuable lessons. The more you ride motocross the better you have become. Well done on riding over that ruddy great big pipe. Mark Jansen was brilliant.
Did you complete the timed course? It's amazing people don't know you trained in Oman waiting for Basanti to arrive. This take it to another level ... learning, improving skills and having fun at the same time ... well done!
Now it's closer to Mondays content! Glad you threw this extra Thursday year end content in!
This is several levels above her training in Oman.
Great video of some intense training. Enjoyed the cross riding, found myself sitting in chair and leaning into turns and feeling the bumps. Wishing Noraly and everyone here a Happy New Year and hopefully getting back to a more normal routine and rides that we all miss.
Impressed with the instructors and the training given. Looks to me that your skills have really improved since India. Everyone should have practice like this on their bikes. Ride safe.
Wow, what an amazing day...JEALOUS that you got to go, but we learned all along with you. Learning everywhere you go, and laughing along the way. Thanks for the bloopers at the end, a great way to end the video. Cause I'd be right there, my videos would probably be just bloopers, and no content to say of!
Thanks Noraly fore this Newyear pressent to all your followes.
Love the things you do fore us.
When the world went crazy and locked down then you went creativ.
And it hawe to be lot of job to get promision to get police academy inwolwed.
Hope 2021 will be a better year fore us all.
With love from Sweden
Am also a Police Rider when still in the Police Service and encountered such difficult training...NORALY, you are such a TRUE RIDER in every sense of the word, STRONG but FIERCE and have an extra ordinary efforts and determination to fulfill what you started. You have the BEST INSTRUCTORS so far. Stay Safe, enjoy your RIDES and HAPPY NEW YEAR...Happy New Year EVERYONE...
Best video yet I think. Your riding was superb, made me feel very inadequate and I have been riding nearly 50 years. Brilliant, well done.
That instructer was very very good.
Not too strict, not too soft, very good at getting his point across, showed a lot of intelligence, experience, empathy and humility.
Probably good to have a few beers with too.
It is great seeing how you are developing into a very good motorcyclist.
Developing? I would say experienced and skilful. She can outride me any day. But your comment was positive, happy New Year
Yes, there are stairs, but we love slipping on the parcour mud 😁 You are awesome Noraly! Nice two episodes 😎🥳 Happy nee year 👋
Yes that was very funny......that's something i would do lil 😄
Good fun watching. And I am reaaly impressed by the police instrructors!
Wow! The Dutch Police Academy instructors are really great! And yes I was a little surprised to see they also train in off-road skills. I know in Texas there have been occasions where the DPS has used dirt bikes to chase down and round up people suspected of participating in illegal outdoor activities, sometimes working together with helicopter spotters. (Dog fights for example are illegal but may still happen, and may be held in remote outdoor locations. People who go to dog fights apparently don't like to talk to the police for some reason. Sometimes for a lot of reasons -- but I digress). Anyway top notch riding and another great video -- thanks from all of us !!
That was what I call an instructor. Someone who helps a person learn.
You never cease to amaze your viewers Noraly!
Wishing you a great and successful 2021.
I am a keen cyclist and because of bad weather I was riding my bike on rollers watching this. I actually rode the off road segments like I was on the tracks. I slowed down on the downhills and boosted the power up hill, used body language to keep the bike upright. All this on a stationary bike! I did not realised I was doing it until well into the video and even then found it hard not to follow the instructions given. Top stuff Noraly!
Awesome video. Great instructors. You were very lucky to be able to join them.
That looked like alot of fun!
Big props aswell to the police academy that they let you do that and film/publish aswell!
Already looking forward to the next episode.
Happy new year everybody!
Remember Noraly : “ Who Dares Wins “ you dared and you won ! Go girl happy new year 2021 🥳 🎉 🎊
One word.... Respect!!!!! Can hear the nervous breathing but still she does it. Very nice!!!
Very cool 😎 and big thumbs up for the Dutch motorbike police 👮♀️ this would never be possible in Switzerland!
