Everyone should have a pond, even if just a small one. They are so relaxing. Maybe we'd all be nicer if we did!

Beautiful ponds!! Any suggestions on aquatic plants besides tropicals to get some interest and bio mass outside of the summer season? either winter or spring time?

I'm buying a piece of land in Texas that has a natural mud bottom. I'm going to try these techniques. I want to make it deeper, clean it up, improve the water quality etc. to hopefully get some interesting things living there, like turtles, bluegill or trout. Something different than the over done koi and gold fish. Boring! I would like to attract wild water fowl like ducks or geese to stop by on flights. Is there a way to do that?
