The health and stat changes are inter-patch hotfixes to set the slate clean and start fresh... The bigger numbers are just that, numbers.
It is still in game, however, it does not still give you +70k spell power. It's been brought down to about 2k spell power.

There was actually some other thing where you buffed your stats then logged out and back in again and got the stats added each time doing this. Then at one point you could solo the end game bosses.
The wand was on PTR but not on the actual release of MoP. Not saying that you can't do 1 million 1 shot hits, for example Temple of Kotmogu where you get increased damage by holding the ball but also takes more damage and reduced healing.

I had one of these on a Shadow Priest. World PvP was a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Me and a Destruction Warlock who also had the wand owned Halfhill Market for about an hour until we got tired and left.
Good times.
It was hotfixed a while ago. Someone added an extra digit at the end of the Spellpower bonus by accident.

the wand was hotfixed, but got a 6k spellpower wand yesterday ... its still freaking ridiculous !!!
Would have loved to of seen a disc priest with this wand, now imagine that, atonement smiting with an impenetrable barrier which has an even lower cooldown than the mages one. Adding to that the heal crits from the atonement just add even more shielding.
They would be worse than any raid boss in wow.
this reminds me of that gray sword in wotlk, that you could send to any lvl toon. it was ok for all melle classes but, it was best for warriors cause on a lvl 1 warrior it caused the rend ability to tick for like 100 a tick, which is like more health then any npc has, was really fun making a 19 twink warrior, 5-6 ticks of rend would kill any player in wsg...good times.

Swifty i am not sure if it is the same on that server but if you have them frozen just spam ice lance and it should proc as much as frost bolt on all the hits

More on what happened on my Shadow Priest with this wand and my Warlock friend who had one.
A Paladin and a Rogue with a Discipline Priest healer attacked me up by the inn. I 1-shot the Priest with Mindblast then 1-shot the Rogue with Devouring Plague. The Lock set the Pally on fire and cast Corruption and I gave him Shadow Word Pain. Three DoTs and he died. Ticks were like 150k total. He was dead before he realized he was dying. It was unreal. It went on like that with diff players for an hour.

The problem here is, Im sure it was just a typo of an intended 7 thousand, not 70 thousand. And this is the kinda of thing youd expect from the beta.

you got to think the sp for the wand is what will help tanks in pve level 90 raids
when the MOP patch came out on my lock i was able to crit 270ks on the training dummys, i had to pop all my cds though and used chaos bolt

that's no addon, that's blizzard built-in spell alert. It's basically some sort of built-in Power Auras for some procs. There's no selection though, it's just all predefined or nothing.

During the code, I believe when an item is coded it's not given direct numbers, but used by multipliers on some other calculation. Programmer could of been sleepy.
