@@TheUltimateRare The game was originally gonna be made by Bandai Namco. But Nintendo was apparently not satisfied with their work and scrapped the game and started back from scratch with Retro Studio, the original developers of the Prime's trilogy.
Ironic that Prime 4 was one of the very first switch games announced, but will end up being one of the last switch games released. Still so hyped though, I’ve been waiting so long. Love the title too. Duke may be forever, Doom may be eternal, and Halo may be infinite, but Metroid Prime goes Beyond.
I played Metroid Prime 3 in 2007 as a kid and became eager for a fourth one to release. Flash foreward 10 years later and I am in my early 20's watching Nitendo's E3 announcement of Metroid Prime 4 being in development.
The game was delayed and the project was restarted, and after 7 years of only having the confirmation that it was in development, a trailer and release year comes up.
I'll be 30 when playing this, I was 12 when I played corruption, but this game goes beyond.

I'm still shocked we have Zola and Zora in the same scene! As an OG fan from the original, that's really cool.
In my head-canon, the Zora are fish people with gills, who evolved lungs, and Zola are amphibian people with lungs, who evolved gills. The mistranslation or misspelling with the drastic design differences always just seemed easier to explain away by saying that they're just different things.
It's the Second time they've been in the same game, actually. They were both in the Oracle Games. I have a bit of a crackpot theory that this game is semi inspired by the missing 3rd Oracle game, which was to be focused on Wisdom.
NEW ZELDA GAME! What a great direct!
I feel like Echoes of Wisdom will set a new trend for The Legend of Zelda series. Pretty much there would be a pattern of each new game having either Link or Zelda as the Protagonist before eventually having them be the deuteragonist, Dual Protagonists, of the same game.
Also, it looks like EoW is using the map from "A Link to the Past" due to how there's a lake to the south east of Hyrule Castle. But that's just my observation.
I don’t think so this is a one off thing this looks great but let’s see how it sells. I wouldn’t see them giving us the choice for future games doesn’t really make sense imo.
It seems to me like, since the 3D-Zeldas seem to focus more on the action-aspect, they're now pushing the 2D-Zeldas more into a puzzle-solving direction.

Depending on how much it sells, Zelda finally getting the MC role is EPIC. I really wanted to have her saving her own kingdom and not having Link over and over carrying the torch. Not even in Age of Calamity she had that much leadership.

Biggest highlights for me were Dragon Quest I II and III HD Remakes, Romancing Saga 2 Remake, Fantasian, Zelda, Marvel vs Capcom Collection and Metroid Prime 4.

That would be impossible. creating Echoes uses the Triangles floating behind Tri. I saw 4 over her head, and enemies take 2. so you can only spawn 2 at once

Hey Dee, I'm back again with a realization I had about the BoTW/ToTK and how a quest in Wind Waker is more important than we had believed. And the reason why I'm leaving the comment here is due to how this is the most recent video here on your channel. Also, I hope you do a comment video stream at some point.
Anyway, the quest I'm referring to is the one where Link has to water eight withered trees which the Koroks had planted on different islands that resides in the Great Sea. Since the forest of the game's Great Deku Tree would expand as the withered trees would grow to a massive size after being revitalize, causing those small islands to grow and eventually become one landmass. A Landmass which would have a massive cavern that's filled with water underneath it. With the water eventually vanish after enough time, creating the Depths which we explore in ToTk.
Also, the Roots of the trees planted during the quest would become gigantic after they were revitalized. Which would explain the giant roots which can be found within the Depths. Plus the Ruins deep underground Hyrule castle could have been the ruins of the Hyrule Castle we see in Wind Waker.
I instantly clicked on this notification as soon as I saw it! Bless you irish lad and get excited with the rest of us for 2D Minecraft Zelda, Mario and Luigi brotherly love and Metroid Prime 4. Your reactions never disappoint!

As strange as it may sound, I am BEYONR hyped for Investigations Collection. Ace Attorney Investigations 2: Prosecutor’s Gambit alone is a top 10 video game for me, and is easily a top 3 story for me. And that includes every media of fictional stories.

If you go back to the beginning of tears of the kingdom, and you get the recall ability. Rauru tells you that “what you saw was a mystery, and that perhaps it was a sort of an echo - one that reflects her sheer will”. This makes sense as to why it’s called echos of wisdom.
My god, I hope they somehow make Zelda 4 Swords Adventure work with multiple Switches in the future. It's one of the hardest console games to set up as it requires individual game boy Advances that connect to the Gamecube with link cables, but when it all comes together, it's the best multiplayer experience I had.
Your excitement for games is awesome. I've watched a few people react and most are really grumpy. If I can live stream next time I'll watch you first.

@TheUltimateRare they changed studios midway through. I don't think it had anything with "cold feet" but it sounded like pretty big personal issues. Makes it look like the botw/totk development issues were normal.
And we had to wait 10 years until we even got the announcement in the first place. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was released back in 2007.

In the announcement for this direct they said all games were for the second half of 24. The fiscal year goes till March, so the games with a 2025 release date are all winter or spring releases

Notice how Prime 4 never said it was for Nintendo Switch tho. The entire clip lacks the switch logo, while most of the other (big Nintendo Franchises) had it.
Might be an indicator that Prime 4 could be a Launch Title for the Switch Successor.

Judging by how Nintendo does things with Metroid, I predict Prime 4 will release next year's October or November. Meaning there's still plenty of time to release Prime 2 and 3 remastered between that time. I also expect Prime 2 remastered to release this october since it's the perfect spooky month game, Prime 3 perhaps next spring. I'm super stoked, Prime 2 in HD is gonna be INSANE.
The new legend of zelda game looks wildly incredibly good but they had the best opportunity to call it THE LEGEND OF LINK. And prime 4 is a must play aswell as the STRAY game

I hope this is a trial run for a full triple A title with Zelda as the protagonist. Frankly it’s embarassing it’s taken so long for the titular character of a franchise to not be playable in said franchise. As they say, a premise like that affordd them the opportunity to do something really unique and interesting with Zelda gameplay. They’ve taken Link’s game mechanics every which way now with the same loose swordplay and item mechanics. With TOTK being as crazy as it is, reinvention is more necessary than iteration at this point.
Probably the most subdued reaction to the Marvel vs Capcom collection I've seen. I guess DeeBeeGeek isn't a huge fan so doesn't realize how incredibly important it is for these games to be re-released.

I can't imagine how it must feel to be a dev on Metroid Prime 4 and have to look at the game for 8 to 12 hours a day to the point of being sick of it, and meanwhile the rest of the world has not seen ANY of it and wants nothing more than to do so. It's gotta be a bittersweet feeling.
This was a good direct. Then Investigations 2 localization occurred, and it became the best one in years.
The Metroid Prime 4 took many years make. Well with Prime 4 they had to redevelop it so the wait is something.

@@NamekianG The new console is likely for next year and sure MP4 was always a Switch game, but Switch 2 must have been in the making for a few years. Metroid Prime has always been a great way to show off visuals like Remastered did again. Now for Switch this trailer looks similar and there's probably more going on, but at the same time I wonder how this long awaited game will feel on the next console. I just hope it'll offer a noticeable performance upgrade but also that the gameplay won't feel too dated with Switch limitation and development difficulties.
