Wonderful voice and great live performance!
Years later, I’m still like...damn.
it's hard to find good music like this on the radio anymore, it's a song that will never get old, awesome!
Great version! I love this entire ENTIRE album front to back! I have probably listened to it 20 times already and I've only had it a week. This is my fave song (currently) on the album. It's great to see the faces responsible for this amazing music. So thankful that NPR covers new artists like this cos I would not have otherwise known about them.
+Jean-Paul Francoeur they arent new bro, he is the lead singer of the shins, check them out, same guy!!!!
one of the best songs out there right now...
What a fantastic song! The chorus has a BeeGees sound in the high notes and that’s a beautiful thing.
I prefer this performance to the album version.
Sounds like you're in the room with them.
Simply amazing.
Yet again, I'm completely overwhelmed by Broken Bells. From the opening guitar string I'm blown away. Its been a long wait, but well worth it. The lyric "In the lighted corner, sitting on your own, What a lovely day to be lonely" has me in pieces
his voice is amazing live
My favorite song on the "After the Disco" album!
+Cathy Huynh oh god mine too, lovvvvvveeeeee itttttttttttttttttt lulz
Danger Mouse is a visionary.
Danger Mouse I'm your biggest fan!
just shows the ability of these two guys who can take the song and break it down to some core parts and just play it the two of them
even without the bass, it sounds good. these guys rock
Fantastic song and performance 😉
Nice version...That album is amazing.
So excited to see them in March!
always opens my heart
love broken bells
Wicked unplugged jam!
Goodness, the best live version of this song and i've seen a few other videos of theirs already. James sang really well in this version, especially at the chorus when he has to sing much higher ^_^
Absolutely brillant, I honestly thought it was Barry Gibb from the Bee Gees doing the chorus...brillant
No joke! I first heard this song years ago and my first thought was 'Did they discover some unreleased Bee Gees in a basement somewhere?'. Turns out, even better! New band to discover and love
This is awesome bc this song plays at work and we sing it now. So to hear this version is cool bc I was interested what it would sound like on piano
Good effort lads. Heavenly.
Hear this on my favorite Cleveland college radio station WJCU regularly and had to find out the name of the band. Great song and live performance!
Great acoustics, keyboards & vocals- overall very solid
this is a fantastic performance
sick ass jam indeed
Dat voice.
Nice performance! Looking forward to the album and tour - hopefully also in Europe, guys!!
So amazing

Kevin Spaceys a real good singer and guitar player lol
LOL :)
Good song. I like it.
herd this wonderful song at work today wott a GEM
Awesome performance. I enjoyed the explanation of the track at the beginning too. The album version is good, but I think this is even better!
this guys voice reminds me of Barry Gibbs from the Bee Gees! Awesome song by the way!
Great song
mesmerizing
Why can't I find this in stores?!? I am obsessed with this song. I love it.
The Album is coming up on 01.01 ;)
looking forward to the Toronto Ontario concert in the new year
Slowly feel in love
Bee Gee's / Beatles
Mercer kills the vocals, just awesome, Broken Bells new album will be a gem. And I can not wait for U2's new album soon, I really want to hear what Burton's production style will be on U2's sound....
Disco country? o.o very cool
you two together have great musical talent! Don't stop making music. this is a CD I would buy not download for sure
Broken Bells is like when a good MC or rapper finally gets on some good tracks. Like how Danger Mouse made people look at Jay-Z again after Big Pimpin'
I keep thinking about bass lines when that Surfjan fellow plays too. We need more "Detroit" in music these days.
Danger Mouse... does it get any better? One of the best producers around today. With his stuff he did with Gorillaz, Gnarls Barkley, Portugal the Man, Sparklehorse... if you can't appreciate what he does then your taste in music is just awful.
Joshua Murray I love the Black Keys and he worked on Attack and Release too :) Maybe even El Camino I think...
i play bass on my acoustic guitar when listen this

bass really makes a difference
I hope you won't take this wrong, but I love how this song comes from the mouths and hands of two guys who look like the middle school counselor, and staff member stuck watching the kids on in school suspension.
2018 yo...
Great song, I would really like to know the chord progression.
download link?
now we're talking....
but ily

the singer looks like Kevin Spacey

ok I love this song.. but it is 80's or 90's hip-hop beat how? who were you listening to? this does not sound like cop killer or gangsters paradise
Better than the album version - doesn't have the weird C section at the end that loses the feel
I have a bilateral sinner ear infection
