    ABOUT THE MARIMBA MALLETS
This Marimba Mallets are the result of a 15 year long development and optimization process together with leading soloists of our time. Among them the ARD International Music Competition, TROMP Percussion Competition Eindhoven, Universal Marimba Competition Belgium, Southern California Marimba Competition and Concours de Genève.

    THE SYSTEM
    Solo 1 and Solo 2
The Solo 1 and 2 series have plastic cores with a brilliant sound character rich in contrasts. Depending on the chosen grade of hardness, a warm sound colour may be produced simultaneously.
The difference between Solo 1 and Solo 2:
Solo 1 has less wool around the core and is tightly wound. This produces an intense, evenly articulated sound. The mallet sound is voluminous but still direct.
Solo 2 has more wool around the core and is loosely wound. This makes a legato effect possible with a soft stroke, while the brilliant and precise sound character is maintained with a harder stroke.
    _______
    Solo 3 and Solo 4
The Solo 3 and 4 model series have a softer rubber core. Therefore the sound character of the marimba mallets is warmer in comparison to Solo 1 and 2.
The difference between Solo 3 and Solo 4:
Solo 3 has less wool around the core and is more tightly wound. The mallet sounds voluminous and soft in every dynamic, but still articulate.
Solo 4 has more wool around the core and is loosely wound. This makes an amazing legato effect possible with a soft stroke. When struck with more momentum, the sound becomes more direct, but still remains warm in every dynamic.

    DEGREES OF HARDNESS
All model series are available in four degrees of hardness, which are indicated by colours: Yellow (hard sound), Red (concise sound), Blue (soft sound), Green (very soft sound).
