This is seriously one of the best percussion solos on any instrument in my opinion, can't believe I haven't heard of it. And such a wonderful performance, monster player and dynamics this guy has.

Excellent performance / choice of timbres and ambience ( not too dry which is always terrible for percussion !)

The overtones are different than tower bells, which have a prominent minor 3rd (and a 4th is audible in very large ones). These plates would blend better with orchestral instruments, whose overtones have a major 3rd.
