    You dont treat your Legend like this. This is unacceptable. As a barca supporter all my life i must say we are fun of humiliating our legends and heros who have given so much for the club. We must learn also to manage the weaknesses of our own whether players or managers. Barcelona lacks this particular aspect in many ways. Look at how Ronaldinho left the club, Etoo, Messi, just to name a few and now Xavi. The gratitude we show at the end is to humiliate and disrespect them as much as we can. Barcelona has that embedded in our history. We dont know how to honor legends, I don't mean that it has not been done at all but we must learn to manage the weakness and other crazy aspects of our players and managers. Do we think it is sacking Xavi that will solve the problem at Barca. A man who came in the midst of financial issues, cant sign players but managed to use a few players and academy kids and gave us the league title and super cup and the way to tell him thank you is to do such a thing. This is not a xavi issue now, we are spoiling the image of this club. Visca Barca

      And Koeman was treated even worse than Xavi. After Messi left, Koeman didn't even have a striker, was given no money to spend, his wingers were injured, he didn't have Kounde or Christensen, and he was given no grace despite paying his own release clause to come here and being the first to line up for a deferment. As well as one of the reasons why Messi suddenly decided that he wanted to stay.

    Xavi absolutely deserved to be fired. This team was getting worse under him, no trophies and clearly wasn’t mentally tough to be a Barca coach.
    Also, it also wasn’t right how Barca treated players like Victor Roque.
    The players even complained that training is weak under him.

  • @user-kw7sq6hq4n
    @user-kw7sq6hq4n Před 23 dny +1

    Just to add my 2 cents..for me Laporta wanted Xavi to stay earlier this month because Xavi gave his word to him in that 'sushi ' meeting that he will get the best out of this team as he did after announcing that he was leaving. Only for Xavi to turn around and say the opposite in public, now tell me how did the players feel after being publicly shamed by their coach who basically said he has no faith in this team whilst he knows the team's financial position well..Laporta made monumental sacrifices to get Kounde (50m) Lewandowski (40m) and Raphinha(50m) all of which are Xavi's signings and now turn around and say he doesn't trust them to challenge madrid next season. This current atmosphere was created by xavi himself with his own words..now how do we expect the same squad that the current coach doubts now to perform for him next season..Remember Laporta's first term is up in two years so he needs atleast some amount of success to show for it in order to run for a second term..now your appointee( Xavi) comes out and basically shits on your efforts under these difficult financial circumstances..imagine what that man(Laporta) has to endure when he has to address the club's Annual General meeting or investors of the club...something had to give after those comments its either one or the other..unfortunately it's Xavi in this case..just think about the whole picture and not one isolated statement..the new Camp nou is progressing because of Laporta and his board , a project that was conceptualized in the early 2000s which which previous administrators ignored when we actually had the money to do but chose not to instead left the club in ruins...so I think Laporta thought of a lot of things before making this decision..Xavi was good to stay for next season but unraveled everything himself...coaches must be professional enough to know that what they say in public represents the team..I don't believe any board member ever came out publicly and said our beloved Barca was broke even though they know it..still they keep the faith that Barca will recover from this mess eventually...so after all the effort that is being put in to back the coach under these difficult times and still the coach publicly shames the team..just think about it from a broader perspective ...
    Xavi himself said these players are good and then turn around and say he doest trust them for next season

    @ON-jo3vj Před 23 dny

    This is one of the worst decisions made by the Barca board in recent history and it will only lead to 2 things: Chaos and confusion
    Barcelona has always had 1 certain style in terms of playing football, well thats probably gone now. In itself thats not really a problem, because Flick's style of play might be better than expected.
    The issue is, that Flick will only stay 1-2 years and then what? If you bring in Pep as the next coach, just as an example (which some people apperently still believe in), Pep will probably play the same Barca style as he did 10 years ago and kinda the same style, he is using at Man City.
    So the current players will have to adapt Flick's style of play and then 1-2 years later, probably back to the current style of play.
    Also Flick will probably have some ideas in terms of players he wants for the next season. What will become of those players, when he leaves?
    Thats the confusion part.
    The chaotic part is.....I dont really know what people think, Flick is gonna bring to this club? I wonder which scenario is most likely: Barca beating Real Madrid next season or Barca finishing 2nd again like this season, which Xavi probably would have done next season as well.
    Does this mean Barca is gonna win the CL with Flick?
    Does this mean Flick will want Lewandowski to play, who will be 37 yo and earn a lot more money? How exactly is that benefiting Barca?
    Or maybe Flick will let Vitor Roque play ahead of Lewandowski? lol
    Flick had 1 awesome season with a very experienced Bayern-team, which won the bundesliga, the Pokal and the CL in a year with COVID. Thats it.
    He didnt have any succes with the Nationalteam nor did he make any progress.
    And then I havent really talked about the money part in general......
    All that being said: Xavi isnt the best option for Barca, he has his flaws and sometimes acts very unprofessional as a coach.
    But its probably still better to have some kind of stability with a coach for 1 more year, who has been in the club for several years and a guy, who doesnt even speaks the language yet.

    Thank goodness it's done and i can finally enjoy watching barca again,i respect xavi for taking on the job especially considering the state the club was in but he clearly wasn't cut out for the job and change had to happen imo,under xavi i can recall maybe 3 or 4 games out of his 2 years in charge where the team actually played like and performed like fc barcelona and which i was proud and enjoyed watching them which says it all really,the 3-1 spanish supercup victory over real madrid in dubai or qatar and the victories over atletico madrid thats pretty much it tbh.

    • @andrewdrummond4339
      @andrewdrummond4339 Před 23 dny

      Not at all happy with laporta the way it all was handled for sure and xavi definitely shouldn't have accepted to come back but i fully understand him doing so out of his love for the club,what i don't understand is people criticising laporta for being a big cry baby over what xavi said lol let's look at the facts first people yes everyone and their granny already know that barca are currently broke but as the manager of the club do you really have to come out publicly and gern about it even before the new season begins ?

    • @andrewdrummond4339
      @andrewdrummond4339 Před 23 dny

    • @andrewdrummond4339
      @andrewdrummond4339 Před 23 dny

      What kind of message is xavi saying this going to send ? simple answer not a very good one and just think what all the fc barcelona players,board members and fans would be thinking hearing their own manager writing next season off before it begins ?

    • @andrewdrummond4339
      @andrewdrummond4339 Před 23 dny

      So imo laporta was absolutely correct to be upset at xavis comments and make the change like i said i just didn't like or appreciate the way he done it with xavi but xavi definitely didn't help himself either imo.

    • @andrewdrummond4339
      @andrewdrummond4339 Před 23 dny

      What makes xavis comments even worse imo is that laporta,the board,the sporting sector performed miracles bringing in high quality players xavi wanted like Lewandowski,kounde,raphina,cancelo,christensen,gundogan,martinez especially considering the financial problems fc barcelona have xavi should be thankful not critical tbh

  • @hernanolmosvelazquez4303

    Xavi was never ready but he came because the club needed him. He was not the man for next season. BUT. He didn’t deserve this. He said he was leaving and they begged him to stay just to sack him. One of the clauses they gave him on staying was improving his media relations and they’re sacking him for improving his media relations 🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️
    There was also reports that several players complained directly to board about the training not being intense enough. Certain players in that locker room backstabbed him too.
    He should’ve just been allowed to leave and we could’ve moved forward. Another club legend disrespected by Laporta. I hope he sealed his own fate at the elections and doesn’t win.

    • @hernanolmosvelazquez4303
      @hernanolmosvelazquez4303 Před 23 dny

      On Flick not giving you confidence….. it was reported that he gave Deco and Laporta a report on his plans, his staff, etc including reports on Barcelona’s games and what they could’ve done better and what he noticed.
      Those reports on the games highlighted things that should’ve happened but didn’t because Xavi didnt do it. It also highlighted players fitness not looking good which goes along with reports of players complaining about training being too easy.
      Flick was able to highlight these things from the outside. He knows what he’s doing.

As a president he should make bold decisions, legend or not, yes it could've been done differently but I think it was necessary. Next season is important for the team and investments made & also for Laporta' re-election so it's make or break.

    Best news we could have gotten. Trust me. You nostalgia merchants who are crying now, will hopefully realize, with some reflection, that Xavi isn't a good coach at the moment. And all of you are sad because you loved him when he played. I think Xavi is the greatest midfielder of all time. But my love for this club has clearly shown me that he wasn't going to wun us anything with his tactics. Ya ya. We won the league last year. But that was down to Real having an aweful season. And individual brilliance on the pitch. Is Flick the answer? I don't know. But any sane person can admit he had better pedigree coaching than Xavi does. I think this is the right move. Visca Barcelona!
