  • In this video I get the front forks removed, cleaned, and installed new seals and put in new oil.
The process took me more more than a day; but that's because of the cleaning of the forks. A simple rubbing with Brasso was enough to remove the rust from the upper tube, but it took hours of sanding with 350 grit and 450 sandpaper to remove the oxidization, rust, and discoloration from the lower tube.
The actual dismantling and rebuilding of the forks was quite easy. And man, do they look nice now that they are finished.

Just watched your entire series for this so far, and I've really enjoyed all of it, I like the way you work and the fact that you leave in your mistakes too so that others can learn from them.
I've actually just bought a 94 Vulcan 750 as a project that's been sat in a shed since 97, same colour as yours and everything, so your videos have been a really helpful tool for me, thank you.
I've also just had some air box intake boots shipped over to me in the UK from Wisconsin, who knows, they might even be yours as I know you were hoping to do the ear shave! I also hope this means that you have some more content for this series coming soon.
Thanks again, and keep up the good work!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you like the videos. I still have my intake boots. So, sorry, the ones you got are not mine.
