It's a great tune that has rock ballad flavors. It also features the song in both french and english. Is it a knockout? No, but it is quite ok. See my first time react now!

  • @lenstgelais7376

He’s exactly the same live the man can sing for sure one of the most beautiful love song ever in French ❤

  • @stephanievantielen5615

I got to know this song thanks to my mother. Great song! Roch Voisine has some other good songs like I' ll always be there !

  • @scottyh8494

He has a great voice and their is quality with it.

This was the combination of a good looking guy, a nice song that was very different from ANYTHING else at the time, and a "mood" at that time (also nice lyrics and nice voice). It came at the right moment and was hugely successful at the time (HUGELY SUCCESSFUL). But it was kind of a one-hit wonder. He never hit it that big again (it would have been hard to do). From an American POV, it's not a special song. There are many songs like that in Country music. But in French, it was an unusual song and it really caught people's attention.

  • @richardmtl

Huge hit in Quebec back in the 90s

  • @yanl.6131

did you know that in the songs you sing you have French from France and like rock voisine it's Canadian French. the Quebecois. the 2 accents are completely different.

  • @eliseprevost2233

Firts cruch of my life I was 9 , unforgettable, SO many beautiful songs : Avant de partir, la berceuse du petit diable, Darlin', Tant pis, ne viens pas, Pourtant, Je te serais fidèle, Avec tes yeux pretty face, La promesse

  • @legitor513

Very good analysis Dereck, like one of the reviewers say, it was something new in France. Huge hit here. Thank you very much Dereck, i wish you love and peace❤

  • @ambrenuance462

  • @DenisBeletSwitzerland

Roch is from New-Brunswick, not Quebec. He writes first all his songs in English. Mega hit in France (There was a Rochmania)

  • @SequentialCircuitProphet5

A banger hit in Canada Quebec state and many francophone countries 😊

  • @crazyskaa

His name Roch but it pronounced rock. My mom favorite singer 35 years ago

  • @EXCTASY69

So a very popular song in quebec. Everyone now this song

  • @calean51

Its just a nice little love ballad that used to be a massive hit in France. Not that extraordinary. Just sweet. That's all... Honestly I wasnt a fan of him. AT ALL. Even today. However, it reminds me of my teenage years, so yeah... Comme on dit chez nous: "souvenirs souvenirs" 😮‍💨🥺🤧
