Karen-I met you and Roger last week in this Goodwill while we were on vacation in Lancaster. We volunteer at our church's thrift shop in Oak Grove Va. You were so friendly and kind. I am up to 70 listings this week on our ebay account for the store. All of the inventory comes to me at the shop! Thank you for your many inspiring ideas on how to increase sales!

The instruments are American Girl. I think the guitar is retired and can bring a nice amount.
I'm not selling much anymore, but I know American Girl accessories and furniture sell very well...not huge money, but decent profits. I was looking around in GW the other day and picked up an AG doll bed (Angelina Ballerina blue with a little mouse on each of the 4 posters.) It was in very good shape and generally sells for $35-$40 plus shipping.

I think the Pickard salt and pepper shakers were fine. The salt shaker holes are usually bigger than pepper holes!
Hi, I wonder if those vintage taper candles would have been ok if the buyer was willing to use a heat gun or hair dryer to straighten them. I would have cut them down to the characters and lit them to look like they had been lit and burned to that point. They would have been a cute vintage Christmas item to decorate with.
To make the Squishmallow smaller to ship Roger could use those bags you suck the air out of with the vacuum!😊

That card of sure someone can pound a nail into ceramic without it breaking….my guess is the one with the larger holes is for the pepper - I’ve seen s&p sets before where one has larger holes for the pepper.

Back in the late 1970s I had a hippie neighbor who made macrame curtains for her apartment and she had a pair of hangings just like the ones you show in this video....she put round glass in the bottom of each and hung them from the ceiling on either side of her sofa as end tables. Great find!
You looked at the small Corelle plates with the little hearts before you saw the bowls and dinner plates..... you didn't go back and get them. You walked right by them while you were talking about the different resellers you see in the stores. I was yelling at the TV 😂 love you Karen

Macramae plant hangers should do very well with the Boho style and Mid century style. Not many people know how to construct those.

Regarding the large black ships painting - this is factory art, commonly made in Indonesia, Thailand or Bali. The workers make the same painting over and over again via step-by-step techniques, then sign it with a random Western name to give it cred 😆 They were very common for many decades, I think probably the 50s through the 80s, so they have vintage value now. ❤🔥
I live in Harrisburg and shop at the old factory antiques all the time. I looked for your booth and found it. it’s very nice. I didn’t buy anything that day, but I will keep looking.😊

Around the 29 minute mark, you showed a stein. It’s Wade Ireland. Very distinct colouration and design. It’s lovely porcelain that, depending on the item, can resell for decent money. Looks like that stein sells between 20-25, depending on the design.

Maybe if people are going into others carts, it’s time GW set up a holding area for their customers . They could charge a small refundable fee to hold it somewhere . When the customer comes back to retrieve it , they get their deposit back .

Great find on the raku pot. I recognize the artist signature. From a studio in California..mid 90s. Sold for almost $200. It's a find

You're not crazy - since of the old Dollar Tree stuff was actually pretty good quality. I've picked up a couple items over time - things you'd never guess ever came from there - like some pottery made in Portugal and some from Mexico.... DT is 35 years old - so some is truly vintage!
Yes! I have Halloween decorations from the early 90's from Dollar Tree really cute stuff.
I haven't been in one in many years though.
The irish mug is Wade. It's quite recognisable, so once you see a few pieces, you'll notice it from miles away. Some pieces are worth a lot and some not so much. Probably a good idea to look each piece up to check.
The litte jar with lid could be used for bacon grease, great size!

In our family, we have birthdays for girls on the 11th, 13th, 18th, and my daughter will turn 18 on the 28th and I will have a birthday on the 29th! Yes, I agree! My husband is the chairman of the board at our county Landfill. They are constantly projecting for the future to create & open up new "cells" for all of the waste being hauled there. And we live in a small 46.5k populated county. Just imagine the larger populated cities/counties landfills & how much waste is taken there! So, yeah, when Karen talks about saving things from going to the Landfill, she is absolutely 💯 correct! Folks should *never* criticize resellers, just like you stated, an important cog in the economy AND waste management! Because as we all see when Karen & Roger pickup big items (like the red car!)...it is not going to our landfills. And that's a big win!!

Sell Corelle Karen, you will be that much closer to getting your beach house. That's what I did. If things sell that is the goal. Having to love everything you sell is a luxury in the resale market.
Us old folks in our 70's are still very active. I can't imagine being old & sittin' in a rocking chair complaining about everything
@@glendasully I am in my 70's, retired, just before I turned 60, and I am not sitting in a rocking chair complaining. I am very happy that I don't need to keep running full speed to make a pay check. I totally love living & relaxing by the seaside, enjoying the outdoors, my garden and my family.
My mom is 80 and runs like no other. I am 55 and she out runs me everyday of the week lol. I am disabled with a crooked spine and I take care of my BF of 15 years whom has had several strokes. So I do not get out much but when I do I want to hit up all the thrift stores!

I absolutely LOVE the large pot you found on the cart they vrought out. It is gorgeous! If i had found it, I wound have hugged it on the way to pay for it immediately, thinking that it isn't really mine until it was safely in my car. So beautiful.
Bowl! Another one of my weaknesses 😫. So many to choose from. Glass bowls, pottery bowl something for every occasion. I have more bowls than occasions to use them. 🤷♀️

That knotting at the top of the macrame hangers is definitely vintage because I haven't seen that done for years. Most people nowadays don't seem to bother with it.
