Mondulkiri Elephants - Mondulkiri Elephant & Wildlife Sanctuary by L.E.A.F Cambodia

The Mondulkiri Elephant & Wildlife Sanctuary is a developing ethical and sustainable eco-tourism project situated in Sen Monorom, Mondulkiri in the Kingdom of Cambodia. The project is a joint initiative between the Bunong hill tribe, locals and L.E.A.F, a local non-profit organization that works towards wildlife conservation through ethical elephant tours and community-based eco-tourism projects.
The Mondulkiri Elephant & Wildlife Sanctuary currently sponsors the release and care of six (6) ex-working Cambodian elephants that are negotiated to free them from logging work, commercial tourist rides and heavy farm work. The elephants at the sanctuary are given the opportunity to have a safe and peaceful home and the chance to socialize and roam around the jungles with other elephants - allowing these gentle giants live freely in their natural habitat.
