In the 80s I visited Grubbas matches in his club TTC Grenzau near to where I live. This were the best and most entertaining matches I have ever seen in my life. I never saw him losing 🙂

@@tomtrana3449 Yeah! Really enjoyed watching them live as a kid. And they literally won every cup possible in europe 🙂. Georg Böhm is still playing a pretty high level in a german league.
There were several clips here of Grubba playing against Appelgren, who IMO is the most entertaining player of the 80s.
When I was 13 playing on a county level, I would model my back hand loop on Gruber. In all honesty all we had were a few pictures from library books. Nevertheless, it’s amazing how a young kid can learn so much from still pictures. Needless to say my backhand loop would shock under 18 county players too. Bygone days.

2. Truls isn't as entertaining. Always too cocky, and Grubba was overall - a better player, Moregard still has a long way to go to catch the legend.
