It's not that the cops in this movie were crooked, I mean there are crooked ass cops out there. I just think the cops in this movie were badly written. John C. McGinley's character flipflops from being a crooked cop to an honest cop. Very inconsistent.
Coreys bit about how having that one moment of humanity not saving a cursed Soul was deep AF. Real talk.

This movie has ALWAYS been underrated and overlooked. All the actresses delivered and THE MUSIC 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽. Decades later and I’ve YET to see a better dying scene! Before there was ever a Training Day there was Set It Off!!!

Set It Off is one of the greatest american crime action heist movies of all time. The story, performance's, music, action sequences, direction, and cinematography was outstanding and incredible. It also gives a insightful and articulate representation of difficult, hard, and frustrating times in adulthood which establishes the analysis and observation of the main character's desperately looking for a way out. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯

I love that Armando has a poster of Scarface on his wall while Corey has poster of the Golden Girls on his can't go wrong with either of those. What I wanted Stoney to do to her brother was tell him "I slept with a sleezball at a job I haven't even started yet to get an advance on some money so your sorry ass could go to school. And you never made it in? Make him feel like shit cause had her brother told her earlier Stoney wouldn't have slept with gross man she would've told him where to step off. Me personally I'm not sleeping with an employer or anyone for that matter to help get my sibling into school I'll take out loans before I'll sink that low. They either get into school or they don't they can just get a job & earn their way into college. Also you guys should review Grease & Grease 2, Under The Cherry Moon, Purple Rain, Dirty Dancing, Blade, Blade 2 (Blade 3 sucks don't waste your time on it) & how about some classic monster movies?
Yes!! Scarface is amazing but he couldn’t handle The Girls. Lol. Her brother was so selfish, it was heartbreaking. He didn’t deserve to get deaded but he should have been made to feel like trash. 😂

Totally agree. WW was great and 1984 seemed like they gave too much time to Chris Pine and not enough for Kristen Wiig. I’m not a huge fan of the DC movies. They seem to be a day late and a dollar short, especially next to the MCU.
@@KisstheReviews Yeah they could've waited & gave JL the same amount of build up they did with the Avengers if they wanted to introduce Darkseid as the big bad. But they were stupid & rushed it because they wanted to be on the same par as Marvel. You're right they gave too much attention to Chris Pine & should've focused more on Barbara or as some have said they could've brought her in on a 3rd WW movie. My idea is that they could've showed us Barbara in Africa looking for the lost Amazonian tribe but while she's there Barbara's also studying the wildlife we see her focusing her attention on her favorite animal the cheetah. The power, speed, grace, being the apex predator as she calls it she gets a call from the museum where she applied for a job & they want her to report to work asap she shows up days later & that's where she meets Diana for the first time. You may not agree with me on recasting of Cheetah not that there's anything wrong with Kristin Wigg she deserved this role since that disaster with Fembusters but I was thinking Amber Heard minus her issue with Depp that she should've played Cheetah they can make her look nerdy until she makes a wish on the stone then we slowly see her lose her shyness, awkwardness, becoming more confident. Her looks start to slowly change until she's morphed into the beautiful confident, powerful & sexy woman that she always wanted to be (We know Amber is hot in real life) but the stone has a price & we see Barbara's looks doesn't stop she keeps changing, changing until she becomes unrecognizable. She starts becoming more animal & less human Barbara transforms into the apex predator that she's always wanted to be but at the cost of her humanity & it's up to WW to try to bring her back. Since they cast Kristin they could've gone this route with her but they gave her nothing to do & nothing to work with they went into Cheetah too quickly.
Totally agree with all of that and your Cheetah angle works so well and has a more comic book feel to it than the actual movie had. Amber Heard would’ve been great in that role. Similar to her performance in The Stand.
Yo, I know y'all are ragging on John C. McGinley's character but don't forget about the black female cop that was so adamant about catching the girls. There's a whole black-on-black hate subtext there.

My two faves of yours are , Set it Off and Dead Presidents, then the others you did. McGinley's Character was in this Movie. i can't even enjoy this Movie like i want to Because im so Pissed OFF at the Beginning at How They Treated Frankie after The Bank Robbery. Then at the End of The Movie I'm 10 × as Pissed Because I NEEDED JOHN C McGINLEY & The Female Detective Played By the Amazing ELLA JOYCE DEAD AT THE END OF THIS MOVIE!!!! & It didn't happen. i don't think I've ever Hated 2 characters more in any movie as Much as i Hated John c McGinley & Ella Joyce in Set it off. They REALLY touched a Nerve with me. I hate them more then The guys Who killed Ricky on Boyz in the Hood😂
