It will be tomorrow, have it uploading through the night so I'll get it up early morning! Usually get them up days before but I totally forgot ☹️
Appreciate the love y'all showing some of the black classics,my mama used to love Set It Off. Respect.🙏🏾
It’s a great movie.
Your mom had good taste, we enjoyed Set It Off a lot 😁

I was JUST thinking that...i was like dang they on a roll with the black classics and the reactions are actually genuine and good

Isn’t it crazy that 2 white brothers watching black movie classics are a hit and we love it? ❤️🥰👍🏾
Just a thought, wonder if they ever had or have a Black gf or bf... whatever their preference are..

As if Cleo dying wasn’t sad... that song that plays .. makes it excruciating.
Omg yes
You said it
It's such a beautifully sad song.
Up against the wind by Lori Perry
Yes! Ugh as a black woman when I watched this movie I cried so hard. There was so much sexism, racism and misogyny underlined in this movie and I feel like it touched on so many great subjects for being a 90s movie. God, I loved this movie
Honey, Imma white woman and I felt the same way! 💯❤
Of course the centering, what-about-me comment from Karen… I mean Little… 🙄
Of course you poor, poor suppressed queen...
@lebrown3301 she just said she agreed stfu
"I love Cleo"

Every single time. It's like X. You know what's gonna happen but still watch.

Right I know they're not gonna like that
Me Too i love Cleo
She the one got them all killed!Greedy! And throwing cd's out the car, fingerprints all over them!@@xxxentbrandonredhoodrobins7606
That scene where her brother was killed is showing the injustices that black people are still going through. You got cops telling you to get your license & then shooting you saying you reaching for something. The brother was tryna communicate to them about the bottle but it was so loud that he couldn’t. That scene always pisses me off because it’s real life
I agree
Yes. Reminds me of Philando Castille who was killed by a cop that ASKED him to get his license out. Did it with his fiance and daughter in the car too. So sad.
until this day in 2022 Steve Death make me upset how many African American people die from police brutality
Cleo's death scene is ICONIC for the black classics. I'm glad yall enjoyed it
She went out like a champ
@@jubilantsleep i absolutely agree 💯
TeeTee’s death traumatized me as a kid. She didn’t deserve that. Also Stoney’s brother smh

SET IT OFF is a classic and it should never get a remake or a reboot
Nah we need a remake lol
Some with the others like boyz in the hood and four brothers.
They did a play, it was actually pretty good Kyla Pratt was in it and she did great - probably the only person I would put forward for a sequel but not a remake.
@@kaygeez1542 Classics don't imo. Haha
It's already a low-key remake of Thelma and Louise. That's certainly not a bad thing. Jus' sayin tho

Stonie has a horrible ending. No parents, brother, friends, the man she loves and she can never go home again. I’ve seen this movie probably 50 times and I break down every single time.
she has to start new
we all gotta start somewhere
Yea she’s an outlaw . I know that doesn’t feel good & she knew it was a bad idea from the get-go
@@FlyyGirl1000 true
she has *deal with this*
it's sad she never have a chance to see her friends funeral...
Queen latifah shaking while lighting up that cigarette before sacrificing herself always the thing that stuck out to me about this movie along with tt dying
Yeah, Queen Latifah's death and Vivica Fox's death hit me the most.
@@erauprcwa yeah Vivixa was my girl. She had that beauty, smarts, strength and so much heart, if they got away with it she would’ve flipped it and been living that life never broke again,
@@realSimoneCherie The Oscar moment is the look in the eyes of Jada at Cleo. She made it real as if they were really childhood friends, and knew her enough to know she was fixing to die for her. No matter what Cleo said about meeting up with her later. Jada knew she wasn't gonna see her again. She knew her friend. The realist part of the movie! I cry every time on this part. Both women should've got an Oscar for that part by itself. And so should have Kimberly Elise. She played that scary friend that didn't really belong ,but tagged around with them. My take is she was the scary, bullied girl they have always protected her since a kid. Oh she played that character to a T!! Oscar for her too!
@@elisageorge1798 Damn right about that Cleo/Stoney moment...their sisterhood struck me hard as hell as an adult and has since become my main takeaway with this movie.
@@elisageorge1798 🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯🎯
I like at the end how the cop just lets Stoney get away knowing her parents, brother, and now friends are dead it’s like he was thinking she’s been through enough...
Not Friends They’re Her SISTERS
@@assassinsvalhalla2341 Yessss...this movie is about sisterhood and I felt every bit of it. That connection hit my so hard as an adult.
He owed her a break for killing her innocent brother.
It's also one of the biggest points of the story.. Regardless of how one goes about getting out, it will always require luck to escape terrible situations.
Rip to guy that played Luther he was sadly murdered in Atlanta.
A great actor
😢😢😢😢 R.I.P
Ikr i think it was a robbery smh
WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED? THAT'S CRAZY AS HELL I DIDN'T KNOW THAT.
Natalie Desselle Reid, the young lady from BAPS that was cutting Stevie's hair in this movie passed away recently as well. RIP to both, gone way too soon.
What.? When, I live in Atlanta...
Where she said " what's the procedure!!" Just like how he said to her in the beginning. Just chills
Chris: HE'S ABOUT TO GET FRAMED!!!
ME: He's about to get more than framed.

I love how genuinely concerned these two are about Tee Tee’s son ending up in the system.❤️

The song in the background when Cleo dies...
Gets me Everytime 😭😭😭😭😭😭
same for me😞
I've been tearing up for about 20+ years behind that part
And when her boys that sold her the guns see on tv her being in pursuit and said ain't no way they getting out of this, helicopters all in the ai ,The hurt look in DrDre face as if he really been knowing Cleo since younger and fixing to watch her die😭
I love that song .
I always figured that Luther was watching the girls, either as a micromanager or as a sleaze, and that is how he knew where to find the money.
Damn that's exactly how he knew!
@@misstexas651 No! Lol why would they hide it there knowing he would clean the vents. They were Janitorial also.
@@marcusrougeau5347 They were already doing dumb shit like Cleo not wearing gloves and throwing out the CDs and those terrible masks.
@@s-wo8781 Not as dumb as hiding all the money were luther cleans the vents. Nobody cleans vents that's why they put it there.
@@marcusrougeau5347 But you could see that shit walking by. All you had to do was walk near it and see it. They didn't even push that shit far in.
"Poetic Justice" is a good too to watch....
Yesssssss great suggestion
i think it's kind of slow.
but it does have Good Dialogue
That movie is so overrated
@@prissyfelicity 😐
Yes love Poetic Justice, they've been doing the classics and I appreciate they are but I want them to see a more positive black movie
When you said “what’s gonna happen to Cleo?” I let a big sigh because you can’t even imagine how messed her journey is gonna be throughout the movie😩😩 this movie is so traumatic
I think once TT died individually they knew it was over for them, so they decided to sacrifice themselves for their friend. Cleo did the blaze of glory to buy time for Stormi and Frankie. And Frankie ran and did the speech not only for herself but to buy time for the bus to pull off so Stomi could escape.
I love this movie so much because it’s realistic. There isn’t a clear hero or villain. The “bad girls” are doing this because they were unjustly placed in a position that puts them down because of their race, sexuality, and gender. The “good cops” are driven by racial prejudice and fear and when they realize the wrong they’ve done it’s too late to turn back the clock.
Her name Stoney in the movie
I think Frankie did the speech for herself really, it came full circle to what was said in the beginning when she got fired
Four Brothers Or Higher Learning ...... Next Please !
Higher Learning is deep!! Great choice!!
Four brothers 😣👌🏾
Higher learning
So glad y’all listen to us This is my shit I been asking for this. Thank you
Next above the rim
“What have you dooone”? That makes me cry every time!!!!
Thanks for this one! This movie is a classic!
The cop did all he could at the end sure. But listen to the words Frankie says. “What’s the fucking procedure when you have a gun to your head?” Those are the same words he said to her in the beginning when she was traumatized from a bank robbery and helped get her fired. That’s what sent her down this path. She’s letting him know she’s human and that he’s part of the reason she’s here.
It’s kinda sad that Frankie knew that she might die and there’s no way out, to get out of the situation she was in. So at the end she would rather die, then spend the rest of her life in prison.
please do “FOUR BROTHERS” next
Hell yea that's that movie I still watch that movie ever once in awhile
Yesssss
Oh, that IS a good one
AMAZING REACTION FELLAS! JUICE WITH TUPAC MAYBE?
👌
I second this completely
Juice would be wild.
Maybe they should do a comedy next. They did training day and now set it off. They should react to something funny like Friday.
I have that one. One of my hood favs. Great movie.
Vivica A. Fox made this film right after "Independence Day" (year 1996). She was great in both roles.
I'm waiting for someone to react to Soul Food, I think they would love that one too
Also Dead Presidents! Amazing Movie one of my faves of all time !
Great movie and soundtrack
Set it off is a classic...never gets old I'm still crying after seeing it 100 times
i love this movie. the lesson that this movie teaches is that no matter the situation you're in, if you do something bad those actions and consequences will come back to get you in the end. It's either you end up in prison or you end up dead
I love how I grew up on this movie(and the actresses) and in one viewing these guys felt the same way I have for 25 yrs, this movie is a classic. I cry every time never fails and laugh! 🙏🏾
If you need a break from the sadness check out The Wood!
One of my favourites
I vouch for The Wood.
Yesss we appreciate y’all for actually listening to us 😭😭💪🏾
This is the second video I’ve seen of you guys. The first was color purple. I love the emotional reactions of you guys to some BLACK REQUIRED CLASSICS!!!!!!! Great stuff guys! Keep it up!
Queen Latifah OWNED!!! this film. "Cleo" was the best in the group. She was a tough, brave woman and her death was devastating.
I can't tell you how underrated this movie is. It's a gem of a movie...and Queen Latifah in that death scene.....😭😭😭. It hits hard. She was amazing.
The sad thing is that the one that got away is the only one that didn't want to do it anyway. She wanted some happiness in her life, and sadly had to give up the one thing she was happy about...love. It makes it bittersweet. You're glad she lived, but she'll never have the life she really wanted because she'll have to stay off the radar.
Went out like a gangsta.
