- A two-person theft crew allegedly stole items from Citi Trends on Nettleton Avenue in Jonesboro (Craighead County). Cpl. T. Fitzgerald (C-21) intercepts the suspect vehicle and stops it on Interstate 555 at Marked Tree (Poinsett County). Trp. T. Hitchcock (C-34) backs C-21 on the stop. The primary agency's officer assigned to the theft call, Ofc. J. Haggans (Jonesboro PD), responds to C-21's traffic stop and transports one of the suspects back to Jonesboro.

"Narrative - Haggans, Jonathan - 1/2/2024 4:48:26 PM (Initial)
On 1/2/24 at approx. 12:27, I was dispatched to 2809 E Nettleton AVEJonesboro, AR 72401 in reference to
a theft. Upon arrival, I made contact with Complainant (Johnson, Crystal). Complainant (Johnson, Crystal) stated
Suspect #1 (Taylor, Lindoria A) and Suspect #2 (White, Jennifer Ann) left in the listed vehicle with stolen items from
the business".
So a car full of stolen merchandise from two different retailers, a confession of one suspect that the stuff in the car was stolen from Walmart and city trends and they are going to walk, and one has a warrant! How is this even acceptable? It just gives the next guy the heads up that nothing will happen if you get caught!! A court date that will lead to another warrant because neither will appear!
And you know she probably went back to her girlfriends, and said
Girl let me tell you I was pulled over by a trooper, and was handcuffed, and almost took to jail. That's a reliever 🤣🤣🤣💀😢
That's some baloney. Both should have spent some time in jail. Even if the driver didn't walk out of the store with merchandise, she drove the getaway car off, knowing that her compadre stole that stuff. If she's a law-abiding stand-up citizen, she should have gone to the nearest checker and reported that the lady riding in her car just walked out with a HUGE amount of unpaid (STOLEN) clothes. Driver is Innocent---NOT. Then the driver is perturbed because she has to go testify in court about her friend stealing? She's worried about getting in trouble with her criminal community because she IMMEDIATELY snitched on her passenger. Oh, yeah, driver....if you want to claim your innocence, then you have to testify in court, not in the back of State Trooper's vehicle. It's the right thing to do, driver. I hope the DA that prosecutes the shoplifter, gets the recording from the State Trooper because I wouldn't be surprised if you change your story to where you're still claiming innocence but you're not really telling on your passenger. Of course, that is if the DA even prosecutes. They'll probably drop all b the charges because they got the stolen merchandise back. Our justice system either pleas the charges to much lesser charge, drops the charges, or recommends probation (again for those criminals with previous shoplifting charges), so basically a slap on the wrist. And retail prices all across America keep going up for those Americans who PAY for their merchandise/food so the stores can recoup the millions in lost revenue that they let these people steal with no real repercussions. Our society keeps telling these criminals it's okay to steal by not charging them to the full extent of the law. Thanks a lot! Those law abiding, paying customers living on fixed retirement income are hurt by letting the criminals get away with stealing. Many, many of the stores are as guilty of rewarding the criminals as the DA's across America are. Many of the retail stores won't press charges. They just trespass the shoplifters, whether they get their merchandise back or not. Their still afraid the woke liberals will come after them on social media. Dollar Tree, Target, Family Dollar, Macys, and most Walgreens as well as many other retailers are guilty of telling criminals, by their refusal to prosecute, that "it's okay to come on back and try your luck shoplifting on another day" and "spread the word that we allow shoplifting". What a joke our justice system has become and the lack of good moral fiber our retail stores uphold. I refuse to shop in any of these retail stores that don't support their paying customers but instead reward their shoplifting customers by not prosecuting.

What these two did "while-"SHOPPING" is only a smaller percentage of our "inflation "~"depression" woes. Not being political, but there is substantial more to what has and is happening in America. Remember, we have far more manufacturing companies that remain outside of our states in other countries, and when shipping is not happening and even the last 2 years we have not been getting parts for vehicles, FOOD, medical products et al, until China does ship them, truckers get them to our stores and warehouses, we are seeing the prices rise up to and over 300%. So nailing these two for felony stealing will help, unless the states drop so many charges---so justice still may not serve and prices will still go beyond even 20% and up. PLAN, PREP AND PRAY! (if you choose!) I salute you NST AND ASP for your videos and stopping the surge in crime, even if we do know it will get worse.

Good work ASP. This example is why costs are so expensive. Yes, we all know the suspects are guilty of theft beyond any reasonable doubt. The fact that the retailers are slow to act or do nothing is why you and I pay the high prices.

I can't imagine how frustrated the police have to be with the DA's catch and release program for criminals. Between that and the store's unwillingness to prosecute I'd get pretty fristrated as a cop.

I still don’t understand how they let the one go, with all the stolen merchandise. Makes zero sense to me. You have a confession on camera. The 15 minute rule doesn’t apply here. Under Criminal Procedure 4.1, he can arrest both of them and bring them in for questioning, he doesn’t even need probable cause, he has a confession

This sounds like they have inside help, now when the store shutdown from lack of sales because of theft then they want to protest saying the business is racist.

The innocent one might be telling the truth if it was one store, the theft happened in several stores so she transported the one who supposedly stole the items, she should have said we’re not doing this in my car and that would be the end of it. Now the brothers involved because his car was used. Boosting is when they steal things that people said they would buy , for cheaper prices.
