  • These commercials aired on WSBK in December of 1994
    1. "Gargoyles" Commercial Bumper
    2. Promo for "Aladdin" (Partial)
    3. Promo for "Beverly Hills, 90210"
    4. 13 Dead End Drive
    5. Christmas Crunch
    6. Electronic Talking Battleship
    7. Eggo Cinnamon Toast Waffles
    8. Super Talk Barbie
    9. Willie Go Boom
    10. Grape Escape
    11. Cocoa Puffs
    12. "Gargoyles" Commercial Bumper
    13. Promo for "Beverly Hills, 90210"
    14. TV Spot for "The Jungle Book" (I have a memory of seeing this with my mom and sister after going Christmas shopping. It must have been during this sneak preview, as I definitely saw this before Christmas)
    15. McDonald's (With Tonka Truck and Cabbage Patch Happy Meal toys)
    16. Eggo Waffles
    17. Parachute Spider-Man and Daily Bugle Playset (I had a few of these figures, but I just used my Ghostbusters firehouse playset to display them)
    18. Total Armor Batman, Jetpack Joker, Phantasm and Crime Stalker vehicle (Interesting that they were still advertising figures from "Mask Of The Phantasm", which came out in late '93. I guess this was around the time it was released on VHS. The Phantasm action figure actually had a removable mask/cloak and blatantly spoiled who it was in the movie)
    19. Fruity Pebbles (Another classic)
    20. Cheerios
    21. Papa Gino's Munch Bunch Meals
    22. Pop Tarts Crunch Cereal (With Marla Sokoloff, who was a bit player on Full House and a lot of other sitcoms back then)
    23. McDonald's (With Power Rangers Power Coins)
    24. Pop Tarts Crunch Cereal
    25. Nerf Ballzooka (BALLS)
    26. Tiger Mortal Kombat Handheld Game (The only blood in this version is the blood that will come out of your eyes while playing it)
    27. Tiger X-Men Handheld Game (I have to say, they did a good job with the art on these things)
    28. Honey Nut Cheerios

That Honey Nut Cheerios ad ran during the holidays for years... Taught me how to use the word "suffice" as a kid.

    7:40
Barney: Hey Fred, how can we celebrate Christmas if Jesus isn’t born yet?
Fred: Just eat your f***ing cereal.

man these commercials really take me back to my childhood. They just don't make commercials like this anymore.

That Fruity Pebbles commercial is one of the longest lasting commercials to air on television. I think the last time I saw it was sometime in the early 2010s. Other long running commercials would include that "Cadbury Easter Bunny tryouts" CM, and the "How Many Licks Does it Take to Get to The Center of a Tootsie-Pop?" CM, both I STILL see airing on TV as of recent. I don't think there are any other commercials that have lasted as long as those three.

The Hershey's Kisses Christmas ad from 1989 still regularly plays on TV this time of year. I'm not actually sure if the Fruity Pebbles ad still airs anymore.

Don't forget that dang Hershey's Kisses ad that's like 30 years old now always on around this time. I know it's Christmas when they do that one again.

Okay, 13 Dead End Drive might quite possibly be the scariest commercial I've ever seen. For my money, it's even scarier than Ring Around the Nosey! XD

    "Willie Go Boom"
I can't believe Board James hasn't touched this one yet.

      "Yet"
James said he was pretty much done with Board James, but we all know he'll bring the character back once he figures out a good story for his return.

1994 was one of my favorite years as a kid and these commercials bring back wonderful memories :)
I had that Tiger Mortal Kombat handheld haha!
Gargoyles was and IS my favorite cartoon that aired on Disney (I even have the series on DVD, the VHS that featured a video board game, the video game on SEGA Genesis, and the board game!)
The Fruity Pebbles commercial zapped my brain back to when this always aired around Christmas and got me a bit teary-eyed :/

  • @jayjaybee
    @jayjaybee Před 5 lety +2

I really wanted 13 Dead End Drive--asked my mom for Christmas....didn't get it.
I remember really liking Pop-Tarts cereal.
Like a lot of people, I get nostalgic this time of year, and 1994 was a memorable time for me. Thanks again for posting your vids.

Aladdin goes to Beverly Hills 90210 in the most *hilarious* 90s mashup you'll ever see!
Pop Tarts Crunch, heck of a short lived cereal there. I didn't see the "Grunge" version since it was out in 1994!
That Fruity Pebbles ad was the only time Barney got the cereal all year so it was always nice to see!

Aladdin-no matter how hard Will Smith tries in the upcoming live-action adaptation,he can't out-do Robin Williams's Genie
13 Dead End Drive-Final Destination:The Board Game lol
Total Armor Batman-they should bring Phantasm into the current DC continuity

  • @yusakug

Heck, I wish they were still making Mask of the Phantasm merchandise. It's my personal favorite Batman film, yes even more so than The Dark Knight. I even went to see it twice at the theater during its very brief theatrical run during Christmas of 1993.

I ran into Marla Sokoloff a few years ago when I was working in Beverly Hills. I thought I knew her because she looked so familiar and then I realized she was this actor that was in everything in the 90s.
