Mindfulness practice is the only way to catch thoughts before actions ( dropping the ball in Sister’s analysis) and if receiver then Thru’ Vipassana you will be pinged if hurtful words or actions thrown at you just observe with tolerance see the hurt rose as pinged and the pain persisted then realized the giver was doing thru’ their emotional lenses and radiate compassion and now see the pain declined.
You just observed the impermanence of nature !
You reach out and do something Good to the giver of your hurt , with dropping your ego! Even a kind word or if at all, stay in silence and radiate compassion or blessings if no further hurt is wanted.
