I have some mountain plants or flowers in my garden to see. I have tried more than 10 kinds of wild plants to eat. But now I take 4 or 5 kinds to eat which are tasty enough. Thanks.

Just wondering. What is your favorite plant family to eat? For example: Mint family, (like peppermint, nettle, oregano, monarda, melisa, thyme); Mustard family, apiaceae family (like celery, carrots, dill, and parsley families) or even rose family (rose hips, peach, pear, apple, cherry, many stone fruits)
Which families of plants are most common in Japan?
(I'm from the U.S.A. so I have no idea)
Also, do the Japanese use any plant based medicines and if so, what are some of those?

I used to go with my uncle in upstate NY to get these same plants. Our family comes from Sicily in Italy and we called these "gardoona" or "cardone", the locals that saw us taking them referred to them as "skunk cabbage". My mother used to do it the same as your wife, boiling and the peeling the strings off, and then she would batter then in eggs and pan sear them.

We seem to need many native English speakers for students. We have been adoring America even if we were defeated by America once in our history. We love Hollywood movies very much and they have made us very familiar to America. We have many American TV performers here. I believe you will be pretty comfortable here. Japanese culture will be unique and interesting for you. You don't need to have any anxieties to come and stay here. Thanks.
