- I have a big project that I am going to do today. It wouldn't feel quite so big in a house, but in a camper....it feels overwhelming.

hahahahahahahaha, oh my, i about fell off my gaming chair with laughter when ARt said, Howdy nieghbor" and put his sweater on...
Yeah thought he was about to change his shoes or something. Lol
I actually laughed out loud when Art made the Howdy Neighbor comment, and I don't do that often...Thanks Art
I started singing won't you please, won't you please, please won't you be my neighbor. Lol
I'm really happy the title didn't mean snakes! Probably my favorite of your videos. Wilder's face when his mom tells him he's "amazing", Art's fun joke, the children helping and Bri even sang our favorite kid song. Thanks for making my day.
Talking to Wilder is having a conversation with someone who is between a mature young adult and a wise old man. He is precious.
Gosh after watching the snake 🐍 video before this one I was almost in tears with the sweet ending of this one. My heart melted when Wilder gave the most adorable smile amazing his mama by picking up all those strawberry trimmings. It seems all the kids are doing more as well. 🍓
"you washed your hands real good, right, right?" "Yep" he answered as he swipes his nose. 😂😂😂 Kids: they are a barrel of laughs.
Bri, you and Art and all the kiddos have life going on!! You all are an inspiration. The kindness and good manners shown by all is sadly missing from our modern world. Thank you for sharing. Looking forward to the next video.
Bri, you are such a precious mamma. The world needs more mom’s like you! Many, many blessings to y’all!❤️❤️🍓🍓
Good on ya Bri! Very successful canning, in a camper while teaching 5 kids! You should be very proud. That little one was so very aptly named Wilder, so fiercely independent at his young age!
That was so beautiful to hear Art ask if Bri would like him to take the kids. Makes my heart full.
One of his best features is his ability to always say yes when I would like some space or to go somewhere kid free. One of his other best features is that he is such a good father that they always have more fun with him than me.
I can remember my dad teaching me to wash off the lawn mower, wash the filter, etc after each use. Thanks for the memory Grace.
Howdy Neighbor, Art, you have the best sense of humor!!😂 Your Family still amazes me . You show love in everything you do ! My favorite channel ever !!!👍
Lol!❤When Justice cut up half the strawberry then popped the other half in his mouth 😂💕🍓Y'all got it done! 😎
You all work so hard for your homestead, Art and Bri you are such a good team and your children are such a. blessing to you both. God Bless You All :) Ps. Well done with the jam you did brilliantly and it looks so delicious.
I added you guys to my motivational people playlist you guys inspired me as CZcamsrs
Memories are being made with your kids helping you do the canning! They will never forget it!
Bri, your jam is beautiful....a tablefull of jewels. Wilder is so sweet, helping all he can and then still doesn't want help picking up the spilled berry ends. His smile when you told him he was amazing would melt your heart. All of the children are such a big help and I am so glad you have the time to work in some one on one with Grace. I know that makes her feel special...or maybe more grown up is the proper word. The barn looks great "Mr. Rogers" and helpers. Y'all have a Blessed day.
Hooray!! Great job on tackling that canning.
I’m always just so encouraged by your patience, Bri.
That video made me so happy. Kids that are eating onions out of the garden raw, and rhubarb raw, reminds me of when I was a child, We didn't go in for a snack we just went to the garden grabbed a tomato, or something else, and ate it. These are beautiful memories that you are making, they will serve you well in your golden years. They certainly help me, especially when I'm feeling down.
Thanks,
Jimmy
Isn't it fantastic when we surprise ourselves by doing something we are not sure we will be able to do ?? I think so....the jam was a hit !!!!
A beautiful day on the homestead with a beautiful family. You bring such joy watching you all work and love together. And Wilder makes my day. Such a sweet smart child!! All of your children are so sweet and smart!!
Both of you parents make such a great team, parenting your children! The patience, encouragement and involvement you have for the children is honestly unique and heartwarming.
Hats off to both of you and your family!
you guys were jammin today, lol. have a good day !!
Woodchips and Construction Crew.
To all my favorite homesteaders The Fit Farmer, Art and Bri, The Hollar Homestead and
Sow the land. I would love to see you all work together again. I have an Idea that would help all of you. All of you need woodchips. The fit farmer has loads of wood and stumps sitting on his property that need to see the business end of a Stump Grinder and large wood chipper. Too much for one person. The Hollar Homestead needs to finish that house especially with a new baby coming along it looks like they are feeling overwhelmed. Sow the land is a great builder and Art and Bri are hardworking folks. All of you are in need of wood chips too. I would love for you to get together like you do for processing hogs and chickens. Share the bounty of the fit farmers huge stockpile of scrap wood and help the Hollar homestead finish that house.
Cheers
Huge fan of what you are doing!!!
David.
Love the look on Wilder's face when Bri says, "You're amazing!" Way to go Mama! Amazing Crew on the Homestead!👏👏👏
When we were kids, my siblings and cousins would sneak into the nearby farmers rhubarb field and eat to our hearts content. It was so sour but we loved it! We d go home with split lips from the high levels of acid. We d always get in trouble!!! Also my grandmother would go there and buy bunches of it. Cook it down with sugar then pour over vanilla ice cream for us. She d also give us a raw stalk and a tiny bit of sugar to dip the rhubarb into. So many memories! Still love it to this day. I have a large standing of it here in my garden. My son has also grown up loving it. Pies, crisps, crumbles, cooked with sugar as a topping - yummy!!!
I love how gentle you all are with each other. We have tried hard to do the same in our family. Team work makes the dream work. Great job jam mama : ) see you next time
My 2nd daughter and her daughter just moved in to my tiny trailer with the eldest and I. This very morning as the kitchen was being scrubbed and moved around I was wondering how I was gonna manage in this tiny space..Thank You for sharing your experience Bri. If you can do it with a bunch of Littles, then I can with one, 2 adults and our petting zoo underfoot.
Harmony and Happiness from 🇨🇦
🖖☮🌱🌱🌱
As long as you put your mind to it anything is possible, it will be hard at first until everyone adjust to the tiny environment. I did it in a one story 3 bedroom house with 4 adults and 6 kids of various ages for 2 years
art, a regular mr rogers. made me laugh .... with delight. that was cute.
Good job everyone - lots taken care of today that will make things better in the days ahead. You all were so sweet to each other - makes my heart smile...hugs
You guys do you so well with Grace. She’s such a “first born” or “big sister” and you can tell she loves to step up. I love that y’all foster that without taking advantage of it. I know a lot of big sisters with several siblings who don’t like all the responsibilities that are handed to them. Grace steps up and you let her flourish, but it shows that it’s all rooted in her own desires and isn’t forced. I love watching your family do what y’all do. You rock.
I bought 5 gallons of strawberries from a local farm today for $13 a gallon. It was a lot of work putting them up, but so worth it!! Enjoy that Mama & Grace time. She is growing up quickly and will leave the nest before you are ready for it to happen.
Great Jam Momma. Love you let the Children help. They will remember, appreciate the jam more and tell people they helped. Can't wait to see chicks. Barn looked good when lunch came. Sure got even better after lunch. Kids really enjoyed the Jam as you and Art did 😊 God Bless and Peace Be With You All ☮️🙏❣️
When we were little, our mummies would give us a stick of rhubarb and a bit of sugar in a small paper cone. We would dip the rhubarb in the sugar and eat it! Lovely!
Squirrels dug up my strawberry bed this morning. Here in the city of Ottawa my son and I have filled our yard with raised beds and filling them with goodness. All the best to you and yours.
Sweet in SO many ways!
When we first got married, we didn't have an oven in our first place (until later), but we happen to buy a sail boat and it did have a small bake oven on it. So, I baked a riot on our sail boat almost every weekend--sort of like your canning in an RV!
Great one Art! I thought of Mr Rogers as you were taking off your coat and then you said it! Perfect 👌
Hey Bro I found a new way to remove the strawberry stems,. Take a drinking straw and push up from the bottom of the strawberry and it cores the strawberry and removes the stem
Nap time was my Moms salvation. We five children were a whirlwind during her busy day. I did the same with my children and it was the quiet time of the the to recharge or get things done.
I love Anne of Green Gables!!!!! So fun to see you letting the kids help.
I am always comfortable to hit the thumbs up before I view your videos. Coming here is a guaranteed blessing , giggle, or I come away having learned something. More often than not I get more than one ! God bless you all.
I love farm kids. Bri you are such an amazing mama. The kids seem to have grown so much in the last few months. Time sure flies when they are little.
I got the vinegar strategy from you from last time, thank you!
I am so glad to see I'm not the only one that doesn't have a pressure preserver.
When we lived in Southern California there were strawberry fields everywhere and you could stop right at the fields and buy huge flats of strawberries for a really great deal. We moved to Texas 18 years ago and there’s none of that here. I can only find them in the grocery stores at the normal price. I used to buy the big flats of them and put them through the blender and make Popsicles for the kids adding some pineapple juice or canned peaches. I miss being able to buy those big flats of strawberries. I don’t even know if they have them in California anymore I’ll have to ask one of our relatives! Those fields are probably covered with houses now! You accomplished a lot in a small space!
Getting that barn done must’ve felt really good to and how exciting to get new chickens tomorrow! Thanks for another fun video and sharing your day on the Homestead!😁
Your little one is so cutie reminds me when my great grandson Colt war that age always helping all your kids are cute
Good for you. Don't let the size of the camper put you off...maybe you can try to do it in the barn so get the out door kitchen going so get the kids help with the set up. Just think it through before trying to set it up ...it looks like you can get power there if not, maybe a propane burner and a table for an outdoor kitchen under cover.
I am planning a small, frugal outdoor canning kitchen for the late summer.
I have to recommend an awesome book series! Hank the Cowdog! Soooooo funny!!!! My older children were 9 and 6 when our third and last child was born...so quite an age difference and all of them loved loved loved Hank the Cow dog! We also happened to have had a labradoodle named Hank when we discovered this wonderful series!!!
I loved little Wild man’s grin when you said “your amaaazing”💕
🤗🤗🤗. Art aka Mr Rogers donning his sweater and jam making mamma Bri truly turned a rainy day into so many memories for all the family. Little dirty hands and snot covered faces of kids tasting the rewards of all that work in such a tiny place.....those are precious memories forever. Barefoot and rain soaked they even helped clean the barn while going to the garden to snack on whatever they find. Couldn’t ask for a sweeter life. Even finding a special place to eat lunch too. All in a days work or day of play BUT days that will be shared with their own families one day in the future. Yep I’d say you shared one heck of a special day with us as the world still struggles to find an end to this virus. Would be nice if everyone could have a day like you’ve shared. Wouldn’t this place called earth be so much happier. So thank you for this wonderful video and a peek into your world and the many joys that fills it too. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was just smiling throughout this video. Yall just brought me joy. Enjoy that jam and clean barn and beautiful pasteurs.
I made refrigerator jam once 2years ago, we buy fresh locally grown strawberries, I can get an entire flat for $10. it came out really good. I put what jam I wasn’t going to use right away in the freezer, in air tight containers. that lasted my husband and I quite a long while, no pectin needed. 👍👍 I never canned before and couldn’t afford all the supplies so thats why I used this method. I was feeling all little house on the prairie that day, lol.
I do the same with local concord grapes and hot pepper jelly. So simple to do it this way.
You guys should build an outdoor kitchen. That way you would have a lot more room and it would keep the heat out of your camper in the summer. You could still use it for canning and such when you get your house done. With your big family and going thru this house redo I think an outdoor kitchen would be awesome. Wilder is such a farm boy and so independent. It just makes my heart sing. You pasture grass is doing well. Cow don't like the long stringy stuff........they like the new regrowth. Bri you can do anything. You are an amazing woman and mother........good job.
I so LOVE watching your videos. they just make my day. all my kids are in their 40's and my grandkids range in ages 11 to 25 . I LOVE watching Wilder be so independent. He is a cutie. and the rest of your kids are just a delight to watch them grow.
Bri conquered 💪💃💃💃 smart idea in the size of the jars for the strawberry jam 🍓looks yummo 😋 That Wilder is quite the character 🥰 “I do self” annnnddd did a good job picking them up! Most toddlers now days, would have got overwhelmed & pitched a fit crying 😂😂😂 He’s one tenacious little boy 🙃
Canes of rubarb dip them in sugar, that was what we did for candy when we were young :)
🎶 I love you in the morning and in the afternoon. I love you in the evening and underneath the moon 🎶🎵🎵
My mother always made strawberry and rhubarb jam every June. That was from the 1950s through the 1980s. When I lived there, we would always go strawberry picking every year at a local farm. She grew the rhubarb in her garden. Mom also made other jams and marmalades. Jam was her favorite thing to can. She would can beans and such from the garden, but it was her jams we all loved. As for me, I have never tried making jam. I know. Sad.
Bravo for making jam in the trailer! Not the easiest of jobs!
My goodness your children have grown!!!! Happy canning❤️
Until I was six years old, Mom, Dad and seven kids lived in a tiny house with two bedrooms. After they finished the new house with five bedrooms, two and one half bathrooms, Mom told me she sat on the stairs of the little house weeping cause she knew it would never be the same.
To make my strawberries go further I use two thirds strawberry to either one third redcurrant or one third rhubarb. I cook and sieve the currants to remove the pips before adding. Cook the rhubarb and blend with stick blender to hide the little Strings then add to the jam.
That “Howdy, neighbor” caught me off guard and actually made me laugh out loud! 😁. “JamMama” might just stick as a new nickname for Bri! ❤️ Strawberry Jam sounds so yummy. The barn views are amazing. For some reason I love that chair by the barn door. The garden looks good, too. Your whole family is an inspiration! ❤️ What another great day on the homestead! 😊
Your little boy is precious, you have remarkable kids 👍👍👍🌸♥️🌸👍👍👍
I’ve got to say it again, you guys are amazing parents! Also, you work together so well to accomplish a lot. Bravo!
Canning in the camper and with children.....that is impressive Briana. 👍🏼
Roots and refuge did a video on getting carrots to germinate by covering the seeds with a wood board till they germinate.
Bri you are so blessed with helpful children.
It just came to me why I look forward so much to your videos .
It's the fact that the children are involved, playing their part and that it feels so sweet and natural .The baby has amazing vocabulary and is endearing .Grace is wonderful ,I haven't picked up all the children's names yet Brighton? With the big strawberry from the garden ? It gives me great enjoyment to watch your family work and grow together .Bless you all
Hi! Our kids names are Grace, Joyful, Justice, Brighton, Wilder. Thanks for the sweet comment .
I love how youz appreciate the little things which are the best things in life.
I've been wondering why so many use a knife to remove the strawberry tops, seams like there is a lot of waste. We use small teaspoon to scoop of the stem and green part, there is a minimum to no amount of waste (and even small kids that you don't trust with a knife can help!).
I think just pushing a plastic straw through will do the trick...
Loved this video, Bri my hat goes off to you for making the Jam in the camper, I don’t think I could do it. Art loved seeing you smile & loving your fam
The barn-cleaning time-lapse was some good cornography...
Howdy, neighbor (I live in S.C)! I was running some errands today and meant to pick up some strawberries today at one of the U-pick stands. With all the rain we've had, the plants are loaded with berries. Glad you were able to get some at a better price. The jam looked delicious and beautiful. I just love y'alls videos, they are the best.
Art& Bri ,I have health issues my hubby has issues from agent orange, we can't have huge garden like yours but you guys have inspired us to container grow..My sweet hubby helps we have 10 tomatoes
1 yellow squash 2 cucumber 1 potato
So excited for our container garden.
The kids were so cute today, the oldest young man was so cute he cut a strawberry and popped it right into his mouth lol boy after my own heart.
No rain in sight here. The weather is looking picture perfect for the next week or so.
Usually when yat get rain it comes up the coast to us. But not this time. It's very welcome after such a gross spring
Great job Bri. You can adapt to anything 👍💥
JO JO IN VT 💕😄
"...Howdy Neighbor" ---HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Your little guy has such a sweet smile.
Bri, thank you for reminding me of my childhood. Mum making blackcurrant jam (my brother and I would help pick them). Also, before I became diabetic, we would eat raw, skinned rhubarb with the aid of a cup of sugar.Well done to Wilder for picking strawberries; and well done Grace for mowing to grass.
Grace is a big help to you, that is great. Jam looks good my favorite strawberry. God Bless your family.
Easy way to do strawberries is push the straw through the bottom to the top comes out good
I have canned for years in my house I give you kudos for doing it in a RV
Great job Bri. Great job with the barn Art. Very productive day despite the rain. Good to see your children working with you
What an amazing adventure. The jam process was fun to watch and was that a nod to "Mr. Rogers" with the good morning neighbor after putting on your sweater. Have a great day and thank you for posting.
Loved the 'Mr. Rogers' cameo!
Hi..... Art and Bri nice to see you all, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👕🐔🐓🐥🐕🐖🐈🌱🐐🐄🎥👍👍👍
I love your family, you and Art are such sweet parents.
Well done Bri. I never doubted you Bri I knew you could do it. Lovely family video.
Watching you, I feel such nostalgia for the way I was raised. Beautiful family!
my mother raised rhubarb. and she made the most wonderful and beautiful homemade rhubarb pies. i can still see and taste them. she learned the recipe from her mom that she brought with her when she moved to the u.s. from canada. and she made the best pie crust too.
i meant grew rhubarb. duh...
What a precious angel. "First try." Then a thumbs up!❤
I can't say this enough I love your Family.
that llittle Wilder is something else, smart as a tact and listens well
I was able to buy two gallons near me. If they have more, I can bring you some on Friday. My husband and I are going to Asheville on Friday.
How kind! I can get gallons of non organic but not of organic.
You both show me daily what love is and commitment to each other. How awesome.
I've been singing Skid a ma rink a dink a dink to my two boys for 45 years! I learned it in church choir when I was 5 years old!
my homemade jelly would mold before I could get it eaten. so I learned to put it in the FREEZER.... no mold and so good and cold
arrange the things according to the rooms your stuff would go in for easy access later
You could stretch the strawberries with rhubarb... Strawberry rhubarb jam is one of the wonders of the world!
Such a dear life family, lovely children ❣️❣️
