It’s impressive that a normal penguin that didn’t know how to do that correctly in the end adapted himself to literal vacuum with such a tremendous force that even running wasn’t enough to outrun said force, and it even gets stronger overtime

In contrast to Kirby, Dedede is already perfect thus he doesn't need to copy any abilities, so his Inhale obviously will be better in such a thing as range and damage.
True. It turned from a move with limited range and did only a slight amount of Kirby’s health, but now it does a fair chunk of damage and is actually a lot more far reaching and potent than Kirby’s inhale. I guess dedede didn’t stop training after he learned to fly.

I'm sure HAL has a reasonable explanation as to why playable King DeDeDe in Star Allies can't use his inhale.
Maybe it's an honor thing, like he'll only use it against Kirby.

I like how Forgotten Land Dedede sorta chews on Kirby rather than swallow him than spit him out. It seems easier than the older way.

King dedede's rainbow curse description says that dedede's jealously of kirby lead to him learning how to suck up air and fly like kirby (which took him a long time to master) I'm assuming this later lead into him learning how to inhale like this too.
Dedede's jealousy is something that isn't really elaborated on much but is a important part of dedede's rival relationship.
No, he could inhale from the start, he only learnt how to fly in adventure, not dreamland one

as a chad kirby right back at ya beliver we see in it dedede does not know how to inhale, which makes sense as it would come first in the time line, and dedede's jealousy is elaborated in that so everything adds up perfectly.

I love how in Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot he spits you at the screen, like what an unnecessary but cool detail to make the 3D mechanics feel more integrated with the older stuff in the series.

yeah, Dedede has only fought kirby with him in control of his body a couple times, he gets brainwashed a surprising amount of times

In forgotten lands, Forgo Dedede tries to chew on Kirby, showing how brainwashed and possessed this man was. He also tried to break out of the mask’s control!
0:06 In this version there's a glitch if you take damage during the suction moment instead of DEDEDE spiting you out he does a mid pixel animation before his belly bulges out and this instantly kills you making the first Kirby game where he actually eats you, you die in his belly.

I never knew Dedede had an Inhale attack in Star Allies. I mean it shouldn't be surprising but I've never seen him use it.
In early games his inhale doesnt pull you in, it just acts as extended range.
Forgo Lands iteration is probably my favourite. It's very creative and funny!

Can you do history of getting sucked into final boss black hole/inhale attacks? Almost every final boss had one and there hasn't been a compilation of this.

It's actually pretty cool that King Dedede has that King Dedede also has an inhaling move to and he gets fat and then spits him back out at the wall and he gets insta-killed and in Ttriple Deluze he gets thrown at the camera/you, (would be cool if he had the power to copy ability though) and like it's cool when this game has this gimmick or mechanic where like and then some enemies and bosses have that mechanic or a variation of that mechanic too. Also must I must say that the Kirby death theme is actually kinda funny to listen to over again, and that 6:58 that Kirby's Blowout Blast game definitely reminds me of Super Mario 3D Land/World? Also I wouldn't be surprised if King from Deltarune had the same ability too. Haha.

Basically Dedede got posessed by Dark Mater and its controling him, thank to DarkM. , Dedede now can hover and transform his tummy into a mouth with sharp black teeth
(Also is a callback to kirby 2 because that Dedede is also posessed and can the same stuff)
