Thank You Mike sorry it to me so long to respond. Yea I have solved my water in hulll problem . The seats are a lot better then stock . But after a few hours the start to get hard. I have been looking for a better set that the price not crazy.
Thanks for this. I have the same problem with my Quest Angler 10. I use to pick the boat up from the back and drain it at the front "push plugs". But after modifications i can no longer do that. This will work perfect.
Thank you so much for this!!! I hate that this boat gets water and I would stand it up against the house to drain it. I have a trolling motor on the front and a Honda BF2.3 on the back. Mine fills up I think because of the water coming through the seams on the front when I am trolling.
Your welcome .I have the 55 pound trolling for the front and just bought a 2021 tohutsu 6hp for it. Just added nav light and switch .we have enjoyed the little boat.
The Pelican Bass Raider 10e also has a problem with large amounts of water entering the pontoons. The only possible site of ingress I can think of is the seam where the deck and hull join. I applied Flex Seal to the upper part of the seam...no luck. The boat had so much water in the pontoons that it was difficult to tow. I would remove a rod holder and use a drill powered pump; unbelievable how much water pumped out. Next step: a threaded drain plug at the rear of each pontoon. BTW, I also have unimpressed by Pelican's after sale support. On the positive side, the boat is a good buy. Also, the BR 10e does have drain holes near the top of each pontoon bow; you could get a hernia trying to lift the stern high enough to actually drain it!
Yea I under stand that took for every to get my paper work to reg boat yea I tried the lift to drain water out lol it sucked install the drain plugs and all so a bilge pump.
I had same issue however i cut access from top and found that the line to fill live well tank was broken. I plugged that line and decided to install bilige pump on both sides running bilige line out thru top and strap bracketing outlet line running bilige connection lines to switch and battery power. Took some work but was pretty nice install great little project. Now live well can be storage instead of live well which wasn't a sacrifice since i lure fish 99% of time.
Yea I was going to do that and add a bilige pump .but I just could not cut a big hole in the top of the boat lol. Maybe after a year or two I will. Not sure oh d you check out my other videos on the pelican be sure to check them out . Thanks for watching.
@@chadpipkin840 shoot Chad i didnt video how i cut but i can send you pictures brother. Man ill tell you what running wires was a pain in the butt man. Got it done i need to get starboard or white cutting boards and screw them to cover the holes i cut on top back for bilige pumps. Send me you email bro ill send you pics.
Btw you did way better job on switch panel then i did but thats project and fun part. Wish pelican would have done better drain plug more like the one you used .
Have you thought about sealing up the stapled seam? Did a little digging on these and most people say water in the hull mostly comes from the seam under the rubber stripping on the side . But good video, I will be doing this plug soon.
Yea I look at doing that i pull off the strip there were so many staples i just decided to put a pulg in . Dont mind the water getting in just as long as it jot a lot . Just make it easy to drain.
I use the plug by holding from the bottom of the boat around a inch from the bottom . I then uses a step drill bit on the hole drill a little test fit till u had a tight fit then i sealed and forced in plug and install screws.
Thanks so much man I just did it with my pops over the weekend purchased a 2019 and it felt really heavy sure enough it has water in the hull I appreciate you!
@@Islandmanfishing Congrats on the Install . Hope you have as much fun in the boat as I have been having .I seem to keep adding to my little boat. Thanks for watching if your not a subscriber please do to keep up with mods on boat.
Don’t want to hijack your thread, but I want to ask the group if anyone has experienced a failure of the battery compartment as I did. The box started to delaminate exposing the inner and outer hulls so was no longer water tight. Pelican replaced boat under warranty and I now remove the battery before transporting. A real pain.
Yes there was one in the front of my boat I just did was to stand it in the nose every time it got water in hull . Just made it easy to drain with the rear plug.
I have the same boat and it does have a drain up under the bow. Of course you have to stand it on its nose to drain it. I too had water in the hull... it's getting in through one or both of the two drains on the back. They aren't sealed very well and weren't installed very tight. You might just be creating another point for water to enter the boat. I would suggest anyone else put the same drain hole/plug in the back above the water line. My Pelican Intruder 12 has a drain along the side up under the gunnel.
I just continued watching the video... You didn't fix the leak!... you just made another hole in the boat. You need to unscrew the main drain plug and seal in on the outside with a rubber gasket and/or silicone. I'm going to add a hatch above the left one so I can access it to remove it and seal it.... video to come soon on my channel.
Thank you for this video. Bought mine end of last year. Got water in hull cause didn't have it covered good enough. Like those comfy seats u put in it

Gotta ask what size drain plugs do you use?
Btw you did way better job on switch panel then i did but thats project and fun part. Wish pelican would have done better drain plug more like the one you used .
Chad, what size plug fits in the front, live well and the rear? Pelican out of Canada is pathetic about parts..

do you need to plug the two other drains in the back before you go in the water?
One the live well fill by the plug I install . and the other one come with a plug to keep water out of the hull and to drain were your feet are .
where do i get the drill bit for making hole in the stern.
Hey James I got the drill bit from harbor freight it a step bit . Take your time and test fit as you drill to get a tight fit. Good drilling.👍👍
How far did you measure to drill the hole for new plug
I use the plug by holding from the bottom of the boat around a inch from the bottom . I then uses a step drill bit on the hole drill a little test fit till u had a tight fit then i sealed and forced in plug and install screws.

How's it held up after some time in the water?
Held up good have not had any problems with it .Just pick up a 2021 6hp 4 stroke outboard for it for this season .
I have a update video of the new motor comming and inside light install.
Does your boat have a plug at the bow of the boat?
Yes I just install one at the rear be cause I didnt want to stand it on the nose every time it got water in the hull.
The boat 155 pounds dry with water it starts to getting heavy.
The drain at the top of the view requires you to stand it on its nose, that ridiculous. I have been contemplating this too.
Can someone send me a picture of the rear drain plug for the boat and the livewell for the pelican predator 103?
I can send a pic of the one I used .if you send me your info.
You have to wonder how those screws will hold up on that thin plastic without having a bulkhead
Yea that would be a test of time but hoping with the screws and silicone it should stay for a while .

No problem . Ask away I never had a problem with the battery box.
mine has a drain in the front to drain the hull
Yea mine has the same just got tired of risking odd trailer and standing on the nose and waiting for it to drain . Now it nice and easy to sesin.
I found a drain plug at the bow. Right under the deck

@@Manuel_Z_Kayaks I did seal that drain plug I just didn’t video it . I seal that plug the day I bought the boat .
