BEETHOVEN Piano Trio No. 1 in E-flat major (Op. 1, No. 1) Score

- "Ludwig van Beethoven's Opus 1 is a set of three piano trios (written for piano, violin, and cello), first performed in 1795 in the house of Prince Lichnowsky, to whom they are dedicated. The trios were published in 1795.
Despite the Op. 1 designation, these trios were not Beethoven's first published compositions; this distinction belongs rather to his Dressler Variations for keyboard (WoO 63). Clearly he recognized these compositions as the earliest ones he had produced that were substantial enough (and marketable enough) to fill out a first major publication to introduce his style of writing to the musical public."

I would say with opus 2, don't you think so?
@@TempodiPiano He had already composed many pieces before Op. 1 and Op. 2.
Duuuuu da da da da da dam
(Using translator) Haydn was present when Beethoven presented this work. The first two trios (more conservative) liked the public and Haydn himself, but the third of them (the most avant-garde), caused confusion among the public. Haydn recommended that Beethoven delay its publication as the public was not prepared for something so advanced.

First piece of the greatest composer
pc 2 was earlier, though it was revised later on
first piece worthy of publication in his view

@@PM_ME_MESSIAEN_PICS wow i had no idea that pc 2 was written almost a decade before publication and before he had anything published! Such a cool fact
Thank you so very much for taking the time to do this! This is done with care, and done so well!!! I'd be remiss if I didn't have a wish list: Beethoven's Piano Sonatas and Violin Sonatas. Again thank you!!!
Thank you for uploading. Really enjoying it.

it's so amazing, there's no way anyone can NOT like this. thank you so much for making this video! :)

A work of art.
que maravilla la tecnologia combinada con las ideas creadas de los que la usan con tanto acierto.Eso de poner la partitura en cada obra musical es original.Felicidades.
24:58 and 25:05 (reverse) HAS to be the melodies where Liszt got his Hungrian Rhapsody no 2 from!
Holy shit.
but that figure occurs also in several Mozart's piano concertos (e. g. no15 kv 450 (I think so)) and very often through the music of the late 18th century.
Came from Igorrr , so good
@not you A pretty expiremental band, the song they're referring to is called Tout Petit Moineau, you should listen to the whole thing, it's a masterpiece

I love seeing greatness and skill in any vocation. This is amazing, especially considering it was so early in his career!

What a lovely peice! A true masterpiece!
If this by-the-rules composition of early Beethoven is a masterpiece for you what are then other more mature works of him or others?
Would you react the same way if this would've made by Guy Lastname?
Probably not.

kinda has a point tho, beethoven was great but i think some people just think he's good cause he's popular
but yeah people should be allowed to enjoy what they want without being pushed around for it

The dislikers are visually and aurally impaired.
Dislikers maybe can be those who know how to criticize and do not train their ears according to the popularity of the composer.

what edition of the score is this?

Igorrr 👍
It's the first piece beethoven wrote and it's already hard!!
The first of Beethoven that was given an opusnumber and was officially published in printing and inscribed in the publishers catalogue of works on sale in Vienna. The complete set of 3 trios was available through an inscriptionlist for the people who wanted to have the scores. A list which included all great aristocratic families of that time (1795) in Vienna...😉👍😙
johan verbruggen But not the first that he ever wrote :)
@@YIM203 Of course not: that are the 9 Dressler-variations Wo063 and three sonatas for fortepiano called the "Kurfürstensonaten" Wo047, from the year 1783 in Bonn...😉👍😊

Yes haha! Beethoven truly paved a bridge between the Classical and Romantic eras of music.

Igorrr - Tout Petit Moineau
This makes me feel like I can achieve nothing in comparison with Beethoven because I'm already 20 years old and I wasn't able to compose anything as good as this, not even close.
Well you still have time, Beethoven was 24 when he published this.
Chopin died at age 39. People, today, normally live up to the 70's. With internet and stuff, you can aquire easy knowledge. Don't lose hope, if you really dedicate yourself into music, you can create wonderful things.
Friend, it may seem hopeless, but never lose sight. You can do it
Does it make you sad you'll never play basketball a good as Michael Jordan? Run as fast as Usain Bolt? Be as smart as Albert Einstein? Play violin like Paganini?
Comparing yourself to the best people in the world spanning hundreds of years is a recipe for failure. Just do what you can do and be happy with what you've created, regardless of how it stands up to one of the greatest composers of all of history.
@@markusbrownicus01 Yeah, but because I want to be a composer that is what happens.
Here for an original formation of instruments czcams.com/video/BQG6NPFpNyA/video.html
Same theme as Mozart’s 3rd movement from his d minor concerto.
They look similar on the page but I wouldn't say they are the same theme. It's an arpeggio that starts on the fourth eighth of the measure; that's it. Mozart's theme is in a minor mode, cut time, legato, following just silence, followed by a series of chords. This is in a major mode, common time, staccato, following a chord, followed by silence.
