I am obsessed with her. Her music is ridiculous in all of the best ways that music can be ridiculous. This particular live performance is a farkin' masterpiece, and I love that you recognized that off the bat.
Me too Holly Gerber !!! In love with everything she performs. She is my favorite female vocalist. I just heard and saw her videos a little over a year ago. She sounds awesome live. I prefer listening to her live on everything💜

@@Skullcracken as much as my late hubby and i listened to all genre of music including broadcasting a new age internet radio station ect. i never heard of her till a year ago when she has writing, singing, performing everywhere, and with new everything that she was not on the mainstream radio or tv.
my favorite male vocalist is Brent Smith from Shinedown and i didn’t listen to them till after my hubby was gone. Shinedown was hid fav band

@@annagarcia6856 glad you liked it. What a voice! I live in Australia and my wife and I had tickets to see her in April . Unfortunately Covid hit and her tour was postponed. Is now tentatively rescheduled for April 2021. Fingers crossed!
Her mother was/is an opera singer and I think LP took voice classes; none of this should distract from her natural rare talent.

Thank you sooo much for doing this Jay. I'm so happy you loved LP and that you realised straight away she's a girl. Born Laura Pergolizzi in Long Island New York, she now goes by the name LP. A singer/songwriter, she emerged around the early 2000's and has since released 5 albums. LP can play guitar, ukelele and harmonica. Her mother was an opera singer that's why she can hit those amazing high notes, she's also a compulsive whistler. LP has written music for other artists such as Celine Dion, Cher, Rhianna, Leona lewis, Christina Aguilera and the Back Street Boys. She's at her best performing live, some of her songs are Dreamer, Suspicion, Switchblade, Forever For Now, Muddy Waters, Recovery and the list goes on and on! Goes to show we still have great artists in 2020, LOVE YOU LP!
I could be completely wrong, but it looked like he realized she was a girl, AFTER that 2nd whistle. Maybe cuz girls whistle differently than boys. Anyway, that was my 1st time hearing her & even knowing anything about her. I THINK SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!!

I read that LP is gender-neutral and doesn’t like being called she/her but also doesn’t enforce it. Thanks for all the info here! I didn’t know about all of those artists!

That was my reaction the first time I heard her sing this song. It was a commercial here on CZcams that introduced me to her. She is awesome. I read awhile back that she was trained to sing opera.

I've been hooked on her for about a year now. Listen to Muddy Waters next. It's the same live sound session as this song. Also, Someday, Other People, No Witness, Recovery... there's just far too many to list. Also check out her girlfriend Lauren Ruth Ward her song Did I Offend You in the Sofar session is amazing. She's much more raw and not as polished as LP but no less phenomenal

This was a big hit in Europe 2 maybe 3 years ago, we were on holiday in Rhodes and this was playing everywhere, bars, clubs supermarkets, I couldn't believe it as I thought she wasn't well known 👍🏴

I stumbled onto this video a couple of years ago and went straight through the looking glass and down the rabbit hole that is LP fandom. This was from her session at Harvard and Stone ( along with Strange and Muddy Waters ). For comparison watch the official video of Lost On You. LP is such an awesome singer. I first heard her as her track “I to the Wild” was used in a US commercial about four years ago. I’ve been a big fan of hers ever since. She can also rock a whistle like no one I’ve heard before.
Saw her for the first time on Craig Ferguson. Was blown away. Craig introduced me to a couple bands and besides LP, Amos lee is my fave. I would love to see something from him on your channel.
