This is my demonstration of my Yamaha PSR SX700 Arranger Keyboard. I will be using voices and styles to play "Give Thanks with a Grateful Heart" as if I am part of a one-man-band. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
How to play an arranger keyboard. In this video I do a demonstration of how to play like a one-man band with an arranger keyboard, in this case, a Yamaha PSR SX700.

@@skywardphoenix9015 I will try. My plan is to show how I usually build up to a song by choosing voices and styles and saving them in registration so I can recall them anytime I need them. It sure is an amazing instrument and once you get yours you will truly enjoy playing on it. I started out just using the piano sound and later on just learned how to play with styles and accompaniments.
And by the your singing is amazing ....I am a Christian who plays keyboard at church

Hi Bill! Unfortunately, I don't have one. I was trying to do what you are asking for way back then when I first got this keyboard, but I can't seem to find one. I ended up just listening to all the voices in this keyboard and tried my best to match it on my own.

What are you doing with the left hand? I see you are playing C and G with alternative patterns and it recognises the keys. What is your LH set to on the PSR?
Thanks! It is at 3:05 I have accompaniment turned on. When I turn it on and press the keys, the keyboard sort of plays an arpeggio preset.

Thank you for your kind words! I am not sure what you mean by vocal harmonies, but the SX700 does not have that feature. The higher spec SX900 does have the vocal harmonizer effects that you can use when you have a microphone connected to that keyboard.

When you are playing along with rhythm section turned on, you have to play to the beat.

Hi sir, would like to know how to set the beat 3/4 with this model?
Hi Stephen! I never was able to figure out how to set the beat at 3/4. It's either you choose a specific Style that is at 3/4 beat (I can't remember which ones are) or use the "Reset" button to reset/rewind the playback of the Style. At least, that was what I did when the song I am playing is at 3/4 beats: I hit the "Reset" button to get back to the first measure. Sorry if I was not able to give you a definite answer, but that was what I use to do when a song calls for 3/4 beats.

The registration button has to be pressed twice to load. is there any other solution
Oh dear! That never happens to my unit. I only need to press the registration button once. You may have to check the manual if there's something mentioned about it in the troubleshooting chapter as your unit might be defective.

Oh, you might need to try set the tempo at the onset before saving the style. Good luck and I hope it works out for you!
Is 7 /8 beat is available in this keyboard please give me the style name....
As far as I know, there is none. I've seen in the internet that it can be created using Style Creator, but I rarely use 7/8 beat, so I have no answer.
There are some 7/8 styles for playing Oriental styles in Oriental music packs, but for that kind of music the Yamaha PSR A5000 is more suitable.
Almost the same as the SX900(not the much cheaper SX700) but was made for playing Oriental music.
Anyway, you can check the packs of styles a Yamaha keyboard owner can download for free on the Yamaha MusicSoft website and listen to the styles because although sometimes they are showed as 4/4 on the keyboard, they are actually other kinds of rhythms.
(There are Brazilian, Mexican, Cuban Greek, Indian, Chinese etc packs of styles).
Of course if you know how to create styles (it is not that easy) you can create whatever compound rhythm you want on the keyboard, as Danboarding already have said.

You can choose a different sound from the voices buttons.
Thanks for your cool video. Perhaps the free web application AI Fingered Tutor could be helpful to your audience. It shows all possible ways how to play chords using Yamaha AI Fingered mode. This is especially useful if somebody wants to learn how to play more advanced chords like e.g. C 6/9 oder A13 or slash chords.

I like your enthusiasm for arranger keyboards. However, instead of using a single registration button for each song, you should be using the entire bank for a single song. Check out the following tutorial:

That person allows you to download his arrangements.
A single registration button can only be use for the beginning of a song. An entire arrangement requires many registration buttons, one for each orchestral part of the song.
Hi Phillip! Thanks for the link! In this example, I only used one registration, but yes, I do have songs with arrangements that uses many more registration buttons. I just happened to choose this example for its simplicity. I did had a chance to try out a KORG Pa700. I rented one but was not able to make a video of my time with it. Sounds great, but has a totally different workflow that I am not used to as I was more used to the interface of the Yamaha.

Hi there! What do you need to know? Upon start up, the PSRSX-700 should be good to go as it defaults to the Grand Piano sound.

Hello, my brother in Christ! Yes, you can still learn how to play the piano, for God's glory! You can start simple; just use the piano sound of your Yamaha for now. It is important to learn the chords progressions of a song first before you dive into the rhythms and effects that the Yamaha can do. My suggestion is to choose one song to learn first. Then once you become familiar with the chords you can learn another song, and another, and another, and soon you will realize you can play many songs without thinking of what chords to play. Then the rest will follow. It takes time and you will not be able to utilize much of the Yamaha's features at first, but what is important is the basic piano sound. I actually have another CZcams Channel dedicated to praise and worship. Please feel free to visit as I have some tutorials there on how to play praise and worship songs the easy way.
