#65400 Klein Impact Pass Through 15-Piece Deep Socket Set: amzn.to/3W75AnV

#32500HD Klein Multi-Bit Screwdriver / Nut Driver, Impact Rated 11-in-1: amzn.to/3QbGyQV
Great sets and boxes, I like the pass through sockets and ratchet. The nice part is that all of them are impact rated. 👍👍👍👍
The more you show the Kline systems the more I like them. I've never been a fan of those plastic cases but those actually look robust. Thanks Doc
I have the 1/4 pass through. Pretty stout. I wouldn’t throw them on the ground but it has survived a couple of couple feet drops
man, i'm really loving how far my tools have come in the past 10-20 yrs. this kit is awesome, i know my next kit out
These are awesome, I just need them to make a metric set of the same lineup and it would be the perfect addition to my small kit i keep in my car.
Yeah until they make metric (which would handle most non-American cars and motorcycles) then I have to stay on the sidelines for these. Otherwise they look great, I just have no use for them.
I love Klein, they're killing it with these new systems! I bought the 3/8 pass through socket set and the 11 in 1 ratcheting screwdriver. Totally lightened up my tool kit and replaced my nut drivers, socket set, and screw drivers.
Tool makers have always introduced innovations, but is it possible to consider this a Golden Age of tool manufacturing? Might be an interesting conversation.
Yikes! The way you were just throwing them willy nilly all over instead of back into their carefully considered place really made me want a set so I could put them back properly, lol…
Klein has always been a professional grade tool manufacturer and this is an example of smart invocations that are well worth the money. I’m sure they’re not cheap. Not for the handyman.
I feel like Klein was sitting on a lot of new and innovative tools till they exited Home Depot. I’m talking a year or two of built up innovative products.
Home Depot DOESNT carry klein anymore?
@@rogerbrandt6678 very very, limited selection now.
@@rogerbrandt6678yes they do they just have what’s left of past inventory
@@rogerbrandt6678Lowe’s is now the place to shop for Klein tools. Home Depot has very little to choose from. Got into a conversation with a guy working for Home Depot in the electrical section about it. He wasn’t happy about the situation. Said Klein tools was one of their biggest sales.
@@rogerbrandt6678only the old stuff anything new either amazon or Lowes
I’ve been buying more and more Klein tools lately. Really love them. These boxes and the monster pass through hole are really nice!
That’s wild how handy just a few boxes can be, love it!
most definitely will be picking up the pass through set! Hopefully they release a metric set too. Thanks for the review
Hey Doc. Love your vids.. Keep’em coming. Thank you!
Got the 11-in-1 Ratchetting Driver, and small ModBOX set because of your reviews. Thanks!
GearWrench has some nice little sets as well. I bought a set of 1/4" screwdriver + T handle, Metric/Imperial sockets going up to 13mm and 1/2" as well as 24 driver bits, has the bit driver that fits both handles, a long and short extension for the sockets and a flex-shaft all for ~$25 back around 2008-ish. I've never had a single set of tools that I could do so much work under the hood of a car with. we have a pair of old mid 80's Mercedes and I pull that set out every time! i can pull off the whole valve assembly to adjust valve timings(and airbox to get to it). didn't get a lot of use early on when i bought it but it looked like a nice set lol now it's the "go to" out of the 2 large toolboxes we have packed with generations of wrenches and sockets! unless we need to do wheel and brake work!
I especially like that you have Klein tool strategically placed in your video. If I were Klein I would absolutely compensate you for your hard work.
Great review. Thanks for showcasing
Nice! One of my favorite channels! 👊
Everything Klein makes is top notch materials, top notch design, due to a top notch engineering and quality delivery model that has been their focus from the beginning. The stuff just has to work.
Perfect timing! Glad I caught this video! Our neighborhood yard sale is this coming Saturday. Think I just may sell my 30-year old Craftsman socket set and buy this.
Subscribed. Went to Lowes last weekend saw these, now need to justify yet another set of tools. These could be perfect for my travel trailer kit.
I really like these Impressive Impact Rated Klein kits!
Well done, Sir!
Great tools!Thank you!
At first I really didn't like the idea of a proprietary ratchet connection but as soon as I saw the passthrough my position changed. Now you don't need to have a whole other set of deep sockets, just use the extension, or get a longer one if needed.
looks like a well thought out tool set
Klein tools are also about 20% cheaper than comparable Milwaukee packout stuff. Great tools, well thought out, at reasonable prices. I've been using Klein at my outdoor job for years now and they just work.
Just ordered all four you have in the video!!!
I have had a set similar to this. Craftsman. And I have used the hell out of these things. Time for.an upgrade
Those look like they are very handy. Even just to throw in a tool bag or bucket.
These tools are great.
Gearwrench had the first pass through ratchets and sockets that I know of. I inherited them from my dad.
well thanks.. there went my dang paycheck this week.. hope you're happy.. but seriously, these are pretty sweet.
I love these things! They look insanely good. What do I do though-buy a whole new set of tools just because they’re better than my old ones, and then stop using my old, perfectly good tools?!?!
Yes.
I use the Klein screw driver set as well as the handheld Carbon monoxide meter. They work great!
They need a handle, thanks for showing them. They are cool, one day I’ll buy some.
Hey that Dewalt yellow box looks just like mine! OPEN & LOCK written on it. haha
OK these look very nice
Those are nice! I'd be buying those if I didn't already have all the sockets and drivers I need. I have klein screwdrivers and some nut driver sets. Great quality.
Thirty years ago I bought some pass through socket kit don’t remember the brand but was either German or US made . It was of high quality but never used very much as the low profile of the tool made my knuckles connect with the work much of the time . My wish list would include s handle to be a locking flex design . Sadly someone borrowed it years ago and I cant remember who .
As much as i might prefer SAE for the availability of cheap, strong hardware, most of my cars use metric stuff. I hope klein comes out with a metric kit soon
Klein always steals I’ve had those bolt thru ratchets an sockets for 10 years
...still waiting for the metric versions! As for SAE....just one 13-piece set in my Lowe's. Nothing else. Empty shelf.
Yeah lowes never fails to disappoint
As a ASE master technician for home use I love craftsman tools, great value when their on sale. as a professional Snap on and a mix of other tools. A roll around cart and small tool, box is great for home use and convenience, you can get a good cheap cart at Harbor freight tool store.
Nice Box
I’m buying those
the mod box, set ups for fishing, would be sick lol
I like that. The Milwaukee bit driver kit is kind of cumbersome. The bits are too contained. Like hard to get out. With Klein. I like the clear tops, I like the spring loaded latch. I wonder if they will come out with empty containers that allow the consumer to customize their own kit? Like those who are well invested in another brand who don’t want to buy another set can just swap the boxes around.
Clever, very clever! Those boxes are so well-designed Klein should offer _generic boxes_ for storing items other than tools-nuts, bolts and washers for instance.
Can I use the big sockets for automotive use? As in an impact wrench?
My question is how good is the low pro ratchet?
Need this in metric
Would like a 10 - 12 flip socket and a 14 - 17
I bought the pass thru set in the old blow mold case so mad. Not to mention lowes removed themselves from Canada and we have no klein retailer who carries mod box in stores. Only custom order through online tool retailers
How do you like the Thanos/Festool systainers?
Some of these do not show up on Amazon when I looked. The links do not access all of the items. Your Lowe's must have a wonderful inventory because the one's where I shop do not have all of these items.
I have an original set of Made in USA Armstrong Eliminator pass-through sockets.... These Kleins look like a exact copy other than the 1/4 drive adapter.
Got pass through cresent brand set.
What’s the part number for the ratcheting wrench you should in the Lowe’s store. There’s no place I can find them
This is amazing... If they made and aviation 12 point system they would rule.. I would buy it if it was catered to Aircraft maintenance. If Klein wants to reach out to me it would be great and I can make them a ton of money.... 100 of thousand aviation mechanics out there.
What's up Doc ?
I bought the 64 piece micro set off Amazon, and the 1/4" to 3.5mm adapter would not stick to the magnet in the 1/4" shaft. All the other bit would though. I was hesitant to order a replacement due to concerns of getting another of the same defective batch, but I sent it back and got another with the same problem. So heads up to everyone. I'm not sure what to do, contact Amazon or Kline directly..........
What for is 9mm? I got it always with set of tools and have never use it while working on European cars and motorbikes. Not once. Same with 6.5mm
The pass-thru socket/ratchet. I bought the Craftsmen years ago (like 10 +). Did the patent run out or Klein purchase the rights to sell these. It looks identical.
Curious if the pass through sockets would be compatible the the new milwaukee pass through ratchet?
That's a great question 🤔 Thank you for posting it.
0:32 Im interested in that 2 piece ratcheting quadwrench set
Nice tools & nice review ...Thx
Would be nice to see the 3/8" socket set (#65400) have a metric option or include a 3/8" pass through ratchet in the SAE/Metric socket set (#65239). Otherwise you're buying duplicate size (although not identical) SAE sockets in 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 11/16, 3/4 and part of the appeal of these is having a very compact package. It also doesn't appear that Klein sells the 3/8" pass through socket separately to add to the #65239 kit. Kind of silly the SAE/Metric set comes with the adaptor for a pass through ratchet, but doesn't include the actual ratchet - you must also purchase another whole kit with duplicate sizes to get that.
I tried the crescent pass through wrench many moons ago. It worked pretty well. The only downside is that it didn’t even last that long. The gears in the wrench were worn out and broke. Hopefully the Klein option is better made
Klein is like craftsman life time warranty
I need to find me a vendor with these. My loal Lowes went out of business a few years ago.
Just buy it on the internet and have it shipped to house.
These look pretty awesome, but when working on a car, space is usually a major problem and these look like they take up a lot of space to try to loosen a bolt or nut in a cramped space. That would be my only concern with them.
Birthday gift
It's nice, but I'm looking for a metric set and they don't have any.
For when a metric system ones for europe?
Hope those boxes are impact rated...looks like they wouldn't survive a drop on the ground.
Shame that these and the Milwaukee insider rachet are doing the same idea but in different ways when cross compatibility would have been awesome.
Looks like Sata, Gearwrench and Craftsman have the same pass through drive.
NOne are in San Francisco Bay Area Lowe’s. It’s frustrating.
It's called Amazon
Thanks brother for the info just pissesme off Klien hyped Lowe’s was their new distributor trying to stay away from that balled billionaire who treats his employees like shit…but
This video is about to cause some damage to my paycheck 😂
Look at all those parts for the use of a socket wrench. Do yourself a favor and get a set of Husky sockets.
Lowes stock price going up now...guarantee it
It’s been a month since you posted this comment. Today is June 8 the stock price for Lowe’s is $216.67 a month ago May 8 it was $232.07….do your self a favor and don’t invest stick to CZcams comments. 😂
this looks awesome...a lil pricey i was still gonna get if they was made in usa....but theyre made in taiwan...so im gonna wait on price to come down...i still appreciate that theyre made in taiwan instead of china...if it was china i def wouldnt get...my tools dont have to be made in usa but ive made the decision to not support china...i rlly do appreciate its made in taiwan and not china...but i wouldve bought today if it was made in usa
What country are they made in?
Most Klein tools I own are made in the US. Not sure about these but most likely US.
taiwan...i was gonna get if made in usa...but i do appreciate that its taiwan and not china
Klein, if you read these comments (I don’t believe they do, but in the off chance…)
PLEASE sell empties. I need empty boxes of these (small, small long, medium). Please I can cut foam to form factor and place it inside and make use of these boxes for other tools I have. They are PERFECT for organizing people with ADHD. You’ve struck on a gold mine accidentally…
Also, empties could make a great Bento box for food.
LoL….. sigh……. Oh boy………. [Shaking my head..]
Wrench sets??? What's the model numbers on those bad boys!?!?!?
Great design by Klein on the Mod Box. DeWalt boxes are so hit and miss. I like the Tough System 2.0, and the more recent T-Stak, but everything else is usually junk and they’re completely incompatible with other DeWalt systems. Milwaukee or Festool though… 🤤🤤🤤
There's better pass through sets in the same price bracket for sure.
They want to build there lockable cases first.
Not sure of the value or use of "pass-through" sockets. Someone please inform me.
All Thread is probably the most common use, at least for me it is. Also, never bottom out a socket when tightening a nut on a long bolt.
Since you can flip them around for the other size, you're also getting 2 deep sockets only requiring the storage space/weight of one socket.
I hope they did a better job on the KNECT style than Craftsman did those are lousy ! Like the Klein boxes though!!
I'm sure Home Depot was insisting on some proprietary inclusion on their tools, to keep their contract going.
Klein figured we're not going to give you more than just paid space in your store. We're not partners like that.
I've always like the concept of the pass through systems but storage options have always been very poorly suited for mobile use. It look's like Klein has a good thing going, now add metric to it.
I still don’t see the value here. At the end you’re still left with “ratchet + socket” …the boxes do look nice though. Seems like Klein is reinventing the wheel here (wheel being a 1/4 or 3/8 anvil) to get people to buy into a proprietary ecosystem
If you can't figure out how to open the toolbox you don't need tools, my dad always said you got to be smarter than the tool
I like Klein, but the warranty sucks.
Plastic cases suck. First time you tap them when they’re cold they break. I guess if you live in a warm climate and you’re very gentle with them, maybe they’ll be OK but I don’t.
Pass thru sockets are not new. They have been in use in aviation for years, building airplanes.
He is saying this kit in their new storage box system is new. He never claimed that they just invented the pass through sockets. They’ve been around for decades.
@1:54: Water molecules are smaller than air molecules (N2, O2). Air-tight doesn't necessarily mean water-tight.
It’s actually the opposite. Water molecules are larger than air molecules. Your cars tires can drive through puddles and water doesn’t get in the tire but all of the air stays in.
CA is slow as hell
WTF this guy didn’t put anything back where it belonged. OCD. By the looks of it he has everything all over the place.
Don’t be fooled, Klein was sold to a company in china, and the quality is not the same when it was made in Germany.
dumb lie, owned by the Klein family, sounds like you are the one sold to china
