Good product.. you missed a lot of details for its operation before commenting and making the video though; App/feeder processes, expandable tray etc... otherwise good review. Thanks.

Question for anyone: I'm in Central Texas and have been feeding backyard birds daily for a couple of years, just laying the seed along the rock wall for an all-you-can-eat buffet. I recently added a bird feeder. We started getting the grackles again about 6 weeks ago. The grackles, together with the doves, are now dominating to the point that all of the small birds have stopped coming. And these larger birds are just hanging out all day long instead of "supplementing" their diet with birdseed. Two days ago I stopped putting out the seed. I plan to wait four or five more days, until the grackles and doves stop showing up in the morning, before I start feeding again, and then only in the bird feeders and not on the wall. I'm just concerned that the grackles and doves will come back and dominate again. I'd like to see the sparrows, finches, cardinals, titmice, chickadees, and other smaller birds return. Do you have any advice?

The best thin to do in order to limit the type of species coming Is to be specific and intentional with the types of feeder and seed you put out. Go with seeds that are hard to access for grackles but easy for the finches. You can also have a part of the yard with food that appeals to the grackles and doves so they dominate that space instead of the feeders that your smaller birds frequent.

Another great review. Someday I may have to breakdown and buy a cell-phone but they both would be very complicated for me to set up and I hate amps and passwords. They should make many more camera bird feeders with out the need of wifi or a cell-phone. 39 likes now

Thanks! I did review one that was more like a camera trap, where you set it up, let it do its thing and then just put the SD card in your computer. Maybe that would be an option for you. czcams.com/video/tp476tbr44s/video.htmlsi=L0ZPFRHL93VL--Uu

@@BadgerlandBirding I have that one, but it keeps tipping over no materr where I put it because of the squirrels. I tried to put it on a sherpherd hook but that did not work. If you are ever in Kenosh WI maybe you could put it up for me. I am not handy at all and on May 13th I will have a right knee total Arthroplasty

What size SD Card did it come with and can you use a larger one if you want to replace it?

I saw one of your videos of a smart bird feeder where you could yell at a squirrel to get off from your phone. Do any of the smart bird feeders automatically alert you when undesirable animals or birds show up on your feeder? You would think that they would have a bird feeder that would alert your phone to squirrel activity...

Not that I know of, and what people want and don’t want is subjective so I feel like that would be a tough thing to regulate.
