The gates are under manual control. That early opening is finger trouble by the operator. If you look at 4:50 you can see the guy on the platform operating them from the control panel.
Yes, this crossing is a TMOB, and the train crew operates it . Since there's no local control, they have to use the driver pedestals
@JPLCUK you are best ❤
Great video!
God it seems like there getting the big bits off now since there are a lot of RRV’s and big pieces for them this is truly amazing to watch nice!👍🏻
Thanks
Great video 👍
Wow 😮
as somebody not familiar with the ins-and-outs of railway crossings, what differentiates a standard closure from an emergency sequence? is it just the timespan before closing?
Also the yellow light is skipped so it goes
Activate -> red lights and close
Instead of
Activate -> warning light -> red light and close
Ah, Barmouth LC at its finest!
Doesn't this crossing have a local control panel? I'd have thought it would be manually controlled when within a possession.
it is manually controlled but I’m assuming the track circuit is the thing that reopens the crossing after the train passes through the crossing
@@taylord9587it hasn’t got a local control panel so they have to use the driver pedestals and the crossing thinks that the trains passed
It wasn't a track circuit malfunction it was the EO on the platform who was at fault, there operating on local control for the work.
This crossing doesn't have local control
Geez the crossing is out of control again
Very
Geez what is happening? to the crossing?
It's confused
Nice one. Fucking hell that was dangerous. This is the worst TMOB in reliability I’ve ever seen
Thanks, its confused because there's RRVs everywhere
@@JPLCUK yh
Some of those early opens were ridiculous. The guys didn't seem massively impressed.
Yeah, I think the barriers are confused since there's RRVs everywhere
JP Oh dear on film think of the paperwork.
If we switched to treadles, it won't be an issue
Barmouth at its best lol
Not good.
you have no hobbies, haven't you?
You do sound a bit stupid commenting that on this video
Ah yes
