I learnt my advanced road craft in a Bentley Continental way back in 2008. I have this 2016 GT version and can only say that for me it's the best car in the world.
I will have one. Soon. I love that you pointed out that you have to participate when driving the car because it won't drive itself like a Benz will. A real drivers car.

You did a great job. I love mine , it's one of the most beautiful designs I've ever seen.
Old school analog instruments, not like a game arcade, the coachwork one piece fender, with metal almost to the ground as little rubber as necessary. I like these and more.
Excellent review and I liked the way you explained that the car requires you to put an effort into driving. My opinion is that these days manufacturers are taking too much responsibility away from the driver with all their assistance programmes. The more vehicle assistance programmes fitted, the lazier the driver becomes thinking the car will do it all for them.
You seemed to figure out what many companies haven't. Many consumers prioritize quality of materials and design over "features". Volvo seems to be focusing their new products around this notion. Great review Guido!
Haha, thanks Kevin ! I guess the GT was nice and like this options were another 27k €, but you have to see the interior of a Mulsanne. It blew my mind. Just the smell.The GT felt almost cheap after that experience haha
+TheGetawayer are you talking about the 2017 version of the Mulsanne? because it is completely different from the previous models. I mean it has the back seat monitors coming out of the seats instead of just sitting their. that is amazing and I guarantee you in the future other ( Mercedes & BMW ) company's are gonna do it too. at least Bentley can say they thought of it first lol.

What you said about the Bentley being "old school" makes sense now, as a reverse camera is listed as an "Option." I had always found that omission quiet silly, until you made a few comments about "limited" driver aides / new technologies.
I have never driven a Bentley, but when my current car comes time for renewal, I will look into getting a Flying Spur. For although I love Coupes, I really really like 4 door saloons.

Great review. I just saw your Panamera review as well. I moved 2 hours away from NYC and need a car that is fun to drive AND can be comfortable for a 4 hour round trip back into NYC. I tell you this so you're advertisers can see the demographics of some of your viewers! Great vid review.

Great review. I have just bought the V8 S model. What a dream of a car this is. The best combination of luxury and power. I was considering the S Class with all the tech options but the Bentley GT is on a another level

I just bought a 2015 V8S low mileage with a very high spec, but I'm missing some of the tech from my previous VW! The active cruise drops out in stop-start, no lane assist, terrible camera and £1500 to get Apple Play put in. Absolutely everything else is wonderful.

Guido... i must say that the editing quality is superb superb superb👌and i realy like your classy outfit...from the comments with viewers i am surprised that you prefer the S coupe.. i didn't drive one yet, but i drove the GT Speed V12 it's special sporty more analog and as you said it need a muscle to operate but.. i thought you prefer a car with sporty analog feeling more. waiting for more Excellent reviews.

Excellent review, I used to own PORSCHE 911 TURBO S and sold if for my BENTLEY GT V8S which I have to say is AMAZING! Much more luxury & comfort & yet still very fast 192MPH! Im now on my 2nd BENTLEY! Its the way this car makes you FEEL! Which is AMAZING!

Honestly, I love the Continental GT. I love those classic lines, the interior. The car looks so sporty and elegant, it's really nice to look at. I have an absolute sweetspot for Bentleys. The color is magnificent on this car. Also the V8 is perfectly fine in this car and (Imo) the better and smarter choice over the W12.

Guido. I'm in total agreement on the issue of driver aids. Useful and sometimes nice to have, I prefer to be immersed in the driving experience when I get behind the wheel.

Another very nicely done video Guido! It's so awesome that Bentley sent you one! Your ending thoughts on it changed my perspective on this car. I always thought it faced tough competition from cars like the S500 Coupe but you're right that the Bentley seems more old school in it's approach and that is definitely something I can appreciate. What's next for you Guido, maybe a Bugatti? ;) Keep up the great work!

+TheGetawayer Hi Mr Guido, I watched your review of the new S500 Benz coupe and I must say I think the S500 coupe is more impressive then the Bentley GT. your review of it gave me goosebumps. the interior is so beautiful and the tech in it is out of this world. Bentley itself is above Mercedes but when you compare the Bentley GT to the Mercedes S Class coupe. the S Class coupe wins hands down.

Quality review as expected been a subscriber for some time now... :-) I own a 2011 Bentley Continental Supersport W12 621 BHP amongst a few other vehicles that include a 2015 BMW M4, (Loved your review on this car too) a 2012 Mustang Boss 302, a 997 Porsche and still there's a few more in my collection. When driving the Bentley its always an occasion my Supersport is so focused on the road the driving experience is always a pleasure for a Car guy like me. Its the proper two seats model with the carbon fibre bar where the rear seats use to reside. In spirited driving around A Roads the car bludgeons it way around bends like its on rails never too firm with the right exhaust notes and the Supersport does actually pops and bangs on lift off in sport Mode Just a gem of a car. I have owned mine for three years now every time I think about selling it I find another reason to hold it just a little longer.. Would Love to see you review one..

Everywhere I look I see the Volkswagen Phaeton and this is not a negative point. The Phaeton is such a wonderful understated car, it has just the wrong badge. This one has its slice of market, in this dress it has the appeal that the VW never had.

That is proper GT cruiser. It was surprise for me that it is not so how you said.. over-assisted and ultralight to drive.

After being in a few Bentleys I look at other cars and they don't compare everything is perfect panel gap every stitch materials used . A very high standard of finish
I think of these pricey cars as "recipes" of a universal personal automobile. And just like different kinds of spice that in 13th century were as valuable as gold, and now can be bought in every supermarket by anyone, I think that these cars would be as common as jeans we wear in a hundred years. It's really good to see that something unique like this has opportunity to be proficent in our days, despite all economical circumstances.

Qualitativ ist die Review first class mit top Bildern und ohne störende billige und laute Musik, so wie man sich das von Dir gewohnt ist. Ich persönlich finde es etwas schade, dass Du nicht den Continental V8 S gefahren bist. Die noch etwas sportlichere Note mit 1 cm Tieferlegung und Sportabgasanlage - nebst verbesserten Fahrleistungen - ist doch sehr attraktiv.

Maybe a bit old for a reply, but which one would you prefer? The Continental GT V8 or the S500 coupe? You've been inside both of those cars, how would you compare the quality? Awesome review btw.
I won't say "colour is everything" but colour is a lot however very interesting review and I'm toggling between a S500coupe and a used V8 - this really does assist

Yes I have. Oddly enough this makes the choice more difficult. Last week my CL500 needed a new ABC pump at 38k miles at €3,000 and I am factoring this into my choice of an S500 coupe and a Bentley which may have a "simpler" engine and which I can never find in the gorgeous Rubino red of your test car. I spoke to JACK BARCLAY in Berkley Square a few minutes ago and suggested they watch your clip which would do more to sell a Bentley than they ever can.
Love the car but would like the back seats out and a storage area with straps and buckles for additional luggage. Back seats are kid's seats, at best.

Thanks ! It actually comes with keyless start and locks at standard, I just used the key for the video ;) Its on the left side like in a Porsche linking back to LeMans :)

+TheGetawayer I did test one few weeks ago and I have to say I was impressed . However I am not sure about something : a pro ceed gt fully loaded is around 23k euro but for less money I could buy a vw gti or a bmw (second hand ) . However, any second hand car I would pick, its waranty would be outdated . I didn't drive a gti or any bmw so far, in order to compare the kia to a more premium, sportive or engaging vehicle . If you ever test one, please let me know what your thoughts are through a comment or an email ( no need of a video review :D ) . Thank you :)

That is a beautiful car. i love the color.
I couldn't help notice the ZF 8 speed had the old style shift pattern. Unlike a BMW which just has a forward/back shift.

Sure, Bentley is exclusive - on paper. Here in Zurich, they are more common than a CL or S Coupe for example. In the financial district they are probably as common as a Golf in other areas... I'd take the Benz tech-fest any day over this.
I really only felt comfortable wearing sunglasses driving this car through the city. The Rubino Red gets so much attention...I liked the Bentley alot. It's very difference to the S Coupe. Hope that came across in the video :) - Guido

+slaWterCH No. I'd have none of them, because I liked sportier cars. My dream GT remains the Maserati GranTurismo. No rational argument, but the design and sound I adore so much, my 170.000€ would go there. Or the Mercedes SL, which I also love
+TheGetawayer The Maserati is definitely the most special but it would not make my list. The latest SL is back on track design wise but still not as good as in the past, otherwise I'd pick that as well. Currently the S Coupe would be my choice out of the big Benzes.
However, as for dream GT cars -> Vanquish. Naturally aspirated V12 and glorious design. It's not a master piece either but very emotional - much more so than the Bentley.
