    Hi Starvos, just to let you know there is an anchor point in that car for a spare wheel. The only problem is that the carpet is covering this. It is in the center of the boot under the carpet and there is a plastic cover pushed into the hole that secures the spare wheel. I know because i went on a mission to secure my spare wheel as i did not want it going anywhere in the event of an accident.

    Good lord the inspections are thorough across the pond! Here in the states you just have to make sure the check engine light isn't on. Some counties don't even require an inspection.

    Hi Stavros,had the same problem with milk spill,I got rid of it by mixing washing powder and hot water in a dish and scrubbing it with a scrubbing brush,then put a dehumidifier in the car over night, I then hoovered the seats next morn to get rid of powder bits.after that the seats where like new and no smell.

    Hi Stavros, I have a 2013 Petrol Honda Civic which is a top of the range model and the factory infotainment system is different to yours. It has sat-nav and is located in the centre of the car (where the volume controls in your car are). I am too, having issues with my infotainment system. I turn on the car and the safety warning notice comes up and there's an OK icon at the bottom which the driver presses prior to driving off. My issue is that my car's infotainment screen is stuck on this warning so I can no longer access my sat-nav, but the reverse camera still works as does the audio. Do you know how to fix this or do you know of this problem?
    As for the smell in your car, if you can get your hands on some, try V.I.Poo. I know it's for your toilet but I find it works wonders on a lot of bad smells, including after my cat's used the litter box. Just one spray in the car and the smell will be gone in no time. It doesn't just mask the smell, it kills it!

    I have had Honda civics since the 90s, not had a single issue with any cars that i have owed in all those years. The mk9 is the best civic Honda has built, I love mine. I had a 1.6 vti years ago, the best engine Honda ever made.

    Yes the battery saving is true,Honda’s car will have the needle going around when you start up your car,and one day the needle stopped working,and after few days and few start up the car just died ran out of battery.(Honda Hrv )

    I am looking to buy the 9th Gen Civic. Is the 2.2 i-Dtec reliable? I hear mixed opinions. Some have used the previous i-CDTI and they have horror stories for those engines. Others comment how the i-Dtec is very reliable but tends to warm up very slowly. 1.6 i-Dtec doesn't have that problem is seems. Which is true?

    I've had had 3 Honda Civics over the last 20 yrs and have only ever experienced one problem (with my current one) which was a battery fail (Varta) almost certainly caused by the so-called 'start stop technology' - now I always disable.

    Mate you have rip out the seats and soak them and rinse like a sponge. Its only foam and fabric with bits of metal after all. Know what i mean. As for the carpet you can scrub and rinse but the padding under the carpet needs to be ripped out and chucked.

    i have 2016 1.6 idtech sport and its terrible, sport is a laugh its slow as a snail, ive a 12 year old diesel mini its twice as fast with 1.6 engine too, nothing but electrical problems, battery low, always, smart charging doesnt work, stopstart never works , thankfully to be honest, infotainment system is an absolute joke, too many problems to mention, low profile tyre make the ride terrible.
    really wish i hadnt bought it

      Well as you know diesel cars don't seem as desirable these days. I have had the petrol and now have the diesel 2.2 I can definitely say that it's the best diesel I've ever owned. But the petrol is definitely better to drive

    • @rondalsimonds6570
      @rondalsimonds6570 Před 5 lety +1

      T-Bone Bones I prefer diesel because they run 3 times longer than a petrol and you get better fuel mileage

    • @sugarrfree
      @sugarrfree Před 5 lety

      Rondal Simonds where did u get that from „they run 3 times longer than petrol”?

    • @Demondante61
      @Demondante61 Před 4 lety +1

      @@sugarrfree well, the general consensus when talking to people was that diesel car engines are alot more expensive and build stronger(they have to be) and last longer - which was true for older cars, but i dunno if you can say that about modern ones aswell, with DPF and turbochargers etc.
      i personally like the driveability of the diesel and the fuel economy with the 1.6dtec is phenomenal(3,5 to 5 L/100km) - though it's not worth it when you drive alot of short distances.

    • @Krabsism
      @Krabsism Před 4 lety

      @@Demondante61 In general I agree.
      But the new petrol cars also are turbo charged and got filters.
      At least they have experience with diesel and turbos, not sooo much for petrol cars "for the masses"
