I'm a side sleeper. For the first week, I slept with pillows propped on my sides so that I could stay on my back. After the first week, my surgeon's team said I could sleep on the side, but I didn't trust that. However, I stopped you using the pillows and did fall asleep on my left side. Now I'm noticing that the left tragus is a bit deformed (he did post-tragus) and there is some bunching on my left cheek. I started wearing a chin strap to counteract the bunching, and also because I feel that gravity wants to pull down the treated areas. I just FEEL that gravitational pull. Concerned my tissues won't heal in their new position.
