A lot of people didn't know Willys made a car too! My parents had one when I was little. It was red and white and a late 40s or 50s model. I don't remember the exact year.
@@tamansns7237 Yep! My parents car was probably a 50s model, 4dr sedan, 2 tone red and white. Not shaped like the popular Willys gasser 2 door model. This was a family car that could sit 5 or 6 people. They had a Henry J before that!
All those jeeps with the hemp rope wrapped around the bumper like the did have done it differently then the soldiers did. The rope would be wrapped sideways around the supports for the bumper. The reason for that is simple . It was faster to unwind the rope and pull out the jeep that way . Nobody wants to stand around in a war zone carefully wrapping a rope like was done with the jeeps there
Humbies were designed by a division of Jeep. Then GM bought the concept for hard cash and made Humbees and Hummers too, Dummy. So Humbees and Hummers are originally Jeeps too.
Now that's funny, 4X4 was designed and engineered by thinking minds. Computers are people's minds nowadays a mechanic doesn't even have a mind plug it in and replace a part, done.
Icons on the road. Special vehicles. Imitated, never equated.
WOOOOO OW!🤪
Ahh the great bantam design of 4X4. At least they got to build trailers for the war.

And before just Willys it was Willys overland. One of the prettiest cars desired by allot of hot rodders has been the 41 Willys.
