USA Today’s Bryan Manning on why the Commanders should consider signing Edge Rusher Carl Lawson:
“Carl Lawson remains unsigned. He is 29 and spent the past three seasons with the Jets. He missed the 2021 season and played well in 2022 but barely played last season. He had seven sacks just two years ago. Sure, Lawson may not replace Montez Sweat’s production, but he likely offers more as a pass rusher than Ferrell. Lawson could be signed on the cheap and give Washington a rotational edge rusher who is poised to show he can still play.”

Why trade 2 possible future draft picks when you can get him next year if he really wants to join Washington. He isn't worth breaking the bank this early in the process.

Personally I'm sick and tired of Aiyuk using Daniels and the Commanders as his personal bargaining chip. Sign a contract or don't and then come talk to us as a free agent next year. If we have room for a drama queen I'm sure BA will be high on the list.

The Commanders owe Charles Leno absolutely nothing. He was cut and the team created 7.3 million in cap space this offseason. He’s completely off the books.

DQ, AP, Harris through words and actions show this is not gonna happen. All the FA's brought in are short term/ low $$ contracts. They gonna build through draft. With the know issues at LT, CB, Edge not seriously being upgraded, and FA's available that could help, there is no way they spend draft capital AND big $$ to fortify the WR room. Which is sad as a Fan. It makes DQ and AP look like the are willing to blow a year to take the easy "W" of at least 6 wins, to claim they made "improvements" As a fan, that disgusts me. They should be doing EVERYTHING possible EVERY year if they expect Wash fans to come back and embrace a team that had "middling" performance for decades. Fans NEED that excitement. Not a 3-4 years of drafting and rolling over cap space. That is LAZY. I would buy season tickets TODAY if they brought in BA and fixed 1 or 2 other holes. But as it stands now, I will continue to just watch casually on TV or Bar until THEY prove to ME they deserve my $$ and time. Right now it feels like a NASCAR team that refuses to put the $$ into a real race car and expect fans to cheer on a Toyota Corolla of a dealer lot.

Zach Wilson is a good pro companion for him if we’re lucky. I mean we drafted a dude who just about told us not to draft him, what do you expect? Don’t expect him to be very good. @@DustySpencer-jy3ds I can boil it down to this. Daniels isn’t a very talented thrower, just not a very good quarterback or football player. I mean it’s clear as day. The guy was dragged to the finish line by absolute studs on offense playing with him. He was given the heisman but it’s really thanks to nabers. Daniels is like a 6th round talent on a good day
