Great analysis on Justin Simmons I was questioning from the beginning of the off-season why he hadn't been signed notably by our organization (I was interested in him earlier as a viable option)
All we need is one player In our secondary to step up and be better then expected and will be doing some things
Thanks, David. Looking forward to next week's show. You make a good argument for signing Timmons. I think there's a better argument for signing him in season/during TC if there is injury. The current S position with the Chinn, Forest, Martin combo, could be a strength.
Quan Martin improved over the course of the season in 2023 and showed a toughness that Forbes and others did not. He's a legit 6'0 and has 4.45 speed. At this point I would expect he is further along the way to securing a contributing role on the starting defense than special teams maven Jeremy Reaves or younger undrafted free agents like Owens or middle round picks like Butler that have been around for a couple of years and can't seem to stay on the field.
What is your thoughts on Dominique Hampton?
Good young prospect. Loads of potential.
I think he was drafted to help on special teams for 2024 and development towards a greater role in future
I was told quinn playing safties over linebackers is why they got torched in the packers playoff game...thoughts?
No one approach will work for every opponent and situation, so we’re in no way advocating for 7 DBs more than strategically necessary.
Watching Dallas , Green bay the cowboys had trouble stopping the run up the "gut"!😮 I hope they know how to fix that issue. Otherwise the defense will be on the field longer.😮
Didn’t have players that could stop the run up the middle. We have a Payne and Allen, lol
